“You go up and tell umma we’re here.” Onew instructed Soo Ki as they arrived at Soo Jin’s residence. Soo Ki just went to Onew’s parents and spent the whole morning with them.

Everybody loves Soo Ki. She seems to be everybody’s apple of the eye.

So she went up and saw her mom packing up their things.

“Umma… leaving?” She asked.

Soo Jin nodded and caressed Soo Ki’s cheeks. “Yes, dear. We are going to live with appa from now on.”

The little girl taught for a while. “J-Jinki-appa?” She uttered.

Soo Jin smiled at the thought that the girl calls her dad in his real name. She nodded. “Come on, babe. Help umma clean this up.”

Few minutes later, they bid goodbye to her parents and left.

Their new house is almost near the SHINee apartment. They chose the location because Onew needs to be with the members all the time.

“B-but Onew-ssi…” Soo Jin was really surprised as soon as they entered the house. “Th-this is… big. I mean… there’s only the three of us living here, are you sure about this?” She looked at her in disbelief.

“This is the nearest house to the dorm that I think is nice for a new family.” He said as he look around the interior.

“But this is… expensive. I mean… you~”

“Do you want to hear a story?” Onew looked at her.

(Soo Jin was at the center looking at her dad in a Let’s-Play-Daddy-Now look:)

“I bought a car for my dad using the money I saved from my work. When I gave that to him, he felt really appreciative. Then umma, told me I should invest to my future house next. He told me I must not disappoint my wife so I need to give her and our children a very beautiful house. Is this okay?” He looked at her, waiting for Soo Jin to answer.

“This is too much. I mean, a simple one will do.”

“But a beautiful one is better.” He replied.

Few minutes after, a sudden surprised came and shocked both of them.

“Wow! This is beautiful, hyung, daebak!” It was Taemin running like a child around the house. “This is so big!” He exclaimed.

“Oh my God, hyung, I didn’t know you were this rich!” Jonghyun shouted while spoiling himself to the elegant look of Onew’s house.

Meanwhile, Key whispered to Onew as he reached his side. “Do you have any money left? I mean, hyung, it’s good that you have a beautiful house, but make sure there are foods on a fridge and some money left to buy Soo Ki a new toy.” He advised.

“There are lots of foods on the fridge, Key, and I’ll brink Soo Ki to the department store with Soo Jin later.”

Minho elbowed Key after that. “Jonghyun hyung already told you not to meddle with Onew hyung’s family life. See? He can handle it pretty well.” He praised and patted Onew’s back. “You’re doing well, appa.”

They were happily chatting when the noticed Soo Ki pulling Onew’s shirt, seemingly getting his attention. He looked down and smiled. “Waeyo, aegi-ah?” He asked.

“Carry… Soo Ki… Appa…” She said.

Onew was dumbfounded. The life of a father. He doesn’t know how to lift a baby up.

It hunts his mind everytime. Lifting a baby is the hardest thing.

Soo Jin saw Onew reluctance in carrying Soo Ki, so she moved in instead and grabbed Soo Ki to her arms. “Soo Ki wants to be carried? Why, sweetie?”

Soo Ki pointed at the garden, specifically at the area full of flowers.

“Oh, so you want to go there, babe?” Soo Ki nodded to Soo Jin.

“Hey, Onew hyung. Shouldn’t you be the one carrying Soo Ki?” Minho uttered.

“B-but..”

“Hey, hyung. You’re a father now. The first thing you should now aside from giving a beautiful house is to learn how to lift a baby on your arms. YooGeun was so disappointed you weren’t able to lift him properly when you in fact was his favorite appa. Come on, carry Soo Ki.” Key said like a boss.

“B-but… I can’t.”

“Stop it, hyung. That was a puppy and you were just a kid back then. Stop trapping yourself into the past.”  Jonghyun said.

“No, no it’s okay, it’s okay.” Soo Jin didn’t like the idea that the older was being scolded by the younger ones, and yet, she doesn’t have the right to scold them one by one because even Onew is not arguing back. “I can lift Soo Ki myself. She’s not heavy after all.” She smiled at them.

“No, Soo Jin. I think Soo Ki wants Onew hyung to carry her. Come on, give it to him.”

Soo Jin followed. She slowly hand Soo Ki to Onew.

As if Soo Ki understood that Onew appa was having troubles carrying her into his arms, she quickly wrapped her arms around Onew’s neck as soon as she reached him.

“aww… So sweet.” Key muttered when they saw Soo Ki did that.

Onew felt that satisfaction and happiness in her heart. Soo Ki understood his feelings. He’s the happiest person in the world right now.

“Soo Ki is such a sweet girl. She understood Onew hyung needs some help.”

“Babies are like that…” Soo Jin smiled at the scene of the father and daughter in front of her. “I thought they only share the same feelings with their mother, but I see now that they can also share the same feelings with their father. Soo Ki is such a sweet girl. She won’t make herself a burden if she knows you’re having trouble already.”
