Before & After
Every Moment was YouMY's POV
Ever since that big day, interviews always start with "How is marriage life?"
Honestly, I don't know how to answer that question because to me, it hasn't changed much.
Other than the fact that we have an additional paper with both of our signatures framed up and placed in the centre of our living room, nothing else has changed. We don't even wear our rings often since we are actors and most of our job requires us to be living through another person.
On that day I had 101 questions, questions about how did it happen, how did he know about the venue and more importantly how long have he been planning for this. But towards the end of the ceremony, looking at how happily he was chatting with my dad I knew.
Sneaky guys.
But everything else went back to normal.
He went for work as usual the next day and both Namoo and Awesome released a joint statement to the press annoucing our matrimony together with some photos of our "secret and impromptu wedding." There were a few hiccups and backlashes but more were best wishes and blessings. Fans all around the world started sending us tons of gifts which ranged from couple clothes to furnitures which they wanted us to put in our new home.
But nope, we weren't shifting.
I love my place and he just bought his, besides where else in Seoul can we find such an ideal location which overlooks Hangang River and yet not be cluttered with too much people. Plus we are too used to the surroundings where the boys could get their regular trims and I could still have my favourite tteobokki. It's too much of a hassle to go around finding a new place, settling in and getting used to it all over again. I don't have that much more capacity to adapt to change now.
Dad went back to the States shortly after ensuring a few rounds of "certifying his son-in-law" and Mum decided that she has completed her duties here in Seoul and that it was time to shift back and resume her duties as a wife.
So yes, now we have two houses under our names - 5mins apart from each other. We could technically choose one of the places to make it our permanent home and sell off the other but we decided to leave it to a later time for that decision. It didn't really mattered where we were staying but as most of the pots and pans which I'm familiar with is at my place he came over a little more often than we stayed over at his place.
He joked once saying that my place is the main house while the other one is the holiday home. Which is kind of true since the way he designed and furnished the place does make it feel like a boutique hotel. While my place, with two dogs and a man now feels... like chaos. I guess the cleaning lady would be affected by our change the most now since there is twice the amount of fur to vaccum and twice the number of cutleries to polish now.
But other than that, I don't really feel much change. Especially when that I'm still staying at the same house which I have been staying at for the past decade, the more I feel like things haven't changed much.
So reporters, stop asking me that question cause I don't know how to reply that.
