There they were standing, in the middle of the living room with arms folded as if they were having a showdown.

Neither of them were willing to talk, but both were glaring at each other.

"Hey! What are you two doing?"

"Staring" both of them answered in unison without breaking the eye war.

But they came to their senses quickly realising that their reflex answer was rude, turning quickly to the source of the question his mum was standing there. The surprised look on his mum face showed that she was caught off guard with their reply, MY immediately apologized and he too relaxed his stance.

"Sorry omeoni, someone just brush me up the wrong way!" MY smiled apologetically.

"Yea, someone is trying to keep secrets as well.." SJ defended himself. 

"Ha secrets? The door wasn't all closed and weren't you eavesdropping outside the door? So what secrets did I try keeping?" MY snapped back quickly.

"Oh my house happen to have really good sound proofing and guess what, I really just got there when you came out believe it or not!" SJ folded his arms replying.

They fell back into their staring war, shots were firing out of their eyes.

"Ahem" 

The sound of his mum clearing snapped them back to reality again. MY unfolded her arms immediately, looking even more apologetic than before. 

"Come have some fruits first!" His mum urged. 

MY took a deep breath and stepped forward but before she could make another move someone tugged onto her hand and pulled her back to the same position, "Omma.. it's kinda late, so we'd like to head back to the hotel."

She turned to the one who has been holding back, face obviously irritated. But a mischievous thought strike immediately, "Sorry but omeoni just said that I would be able to stay here overnight." 

She broke free from his grip and quickly skipped close to his mum for support, "Right omma?" 

His mum chuckled, taking her daughter-in-law's side she answered "Deh deh.. you guys are here for just 2 days. Why waste money to stay at the hotel when we have a spare room?" 

SJ jaws dropped.  

"So if you don't mind, could you please bring my luggage up? And if you do want to go back to the hotel still, I'd prefer to stay here." MY continued with a death stare before sitting down with his mum, starting topics and laughing like he didn't exist. 

It's not the first time today he felt his family turned their back against him.

**Slam**

MY jumped a little at the sound of the closing door but bit her lips to stop herself from smiling. Looking up his mother had a face of concern, MY smiled, "Don't worry...we're done."

His mum looked even confused, "Oh I mean we are done with whatever misunderstandings we had for the day, that is our usual finale," MY quickly explained.

His mum didn't quite get it yet but hearing the door open again with a huffing SJ, she sorta understand what her daughter-in-law meant.

Her son was holding a luggage and a day bag, looking really helpless, the helplessly in love helpless. 

She turned to her daughter-in-law who was enjoying her fruits like the earlier drama didn't happen. Shaking her head slightly she knows, her son has totally surrendered to this woman. 

SJ brought both luggages into his room. His eyes rested on the book which was lying on his bed, picking it up his hand
