His Third Lap
Every Moment was YouThe moment she stepped out of the studio, his car was there waiting.
Taking a quick look at the surrounding and ensuring everything was safe, she skipped happily towards the car.
*knock knock* and she enterred immediately, leaning forward she gave him a quick peck on his cheeks as he reached forward to give her a soft pat on her head.
"How long have you been waiting?" She asked as she strapped the seatbelt over herself.
"Why do you always knock the window twice before enterring?" He asked.
"Hmmm?" She looked back confused.
"Just noticed that before you enter, you always knock the window twice... Was wondering why." He repeated his question with more clarity this round.
She smiled inwards and bit onto her lips softly, she didn't thought that he would ever notice that.
"Because Knock knock, who's there..." She whispered under her breath.
He frowned, not understanding what she meant.
"Knock knock who's there..... something omma used to play with me me when I was young." She explained slowly.
He nodded, waiting for her to continue.
Her face flushed, reducing her voice to barely a whisper she rushed through the remaining of her sentence ".....and I would always answer, Mr Prince. My prince is here to get me..."
Covering her face with both her hands, she tried to hide away all her embarassment but the car was so quiet that she was curious what he was doing.
Pulling her hands away, he was staring at her with those eyes again. But he made no comments to , just turned back to his steering wheel and started the engine.
That's odd... he usually never let go of any opportunity of teasing her.
She might be overthinking but there seemed to be a cloud covering his usual sunshine.
"Oh ya.. how did it went with omma?"
She tried starting the conversation on the call earlier but he quickly drew her attention away by letting know that he was on his way to pick her up. Now that they are in the same space there is going to be plenty of chance for him to explain what happened.
"Not too bad..." He answered vaguely, eyes concentrating on the road.
"Ah huhhh....." she pulled her response, urging for him to continue.
"She is still looking for a date..." He looked over his shoulders and forced a smile.
"Okayyyy... so.... did you manage to tell her that the date would be next year?"
He shrugged, not answering her question.
There was definitely something going on.
