Chapter 76
Letting Go (The Stray Kids Collection: Story #1)"Okay, remember students, tomorrow we start our exam prep!"
The thought of their college entrance exams makes shivers run down Athena's spine. Somehow, she had forgot about them and now, they were running up to her way too fast. Her teacher grins at the sulking classroom and clasps his hands together.
"Cheer up guys! They're still a few months away. Anyway don't forget those projects due for Friday."
After that, the class starts to clear out. Athena quickly closes up her notebook, and heads out of the classroom. This was the one class she didn't have with any of her friends and so she never spent too much time after. The girl rounds a corner in the hall, her locker just in sight, when someone blocks her path. She takes a full look at the person and rolls her eyes. Despite side-stepping to the other side, the girl in front her follows her movements and frowns.
"You're still ignoring me? I didn't know killers had a conscience."
Athena mirrors the girls look. "What do you want Hana?"
"We need to chat."
"I don't think we-"
"Yes," Hana interrupts. "We do. I know you must think you're free to go since everyone seems to have forgotten that you killed Hyunjin, but I am not going to let you off the hook like that."
Athena lifts the headband placed on her head and brushes loose curls back under it before resting it on top of her head again, annoyed and tired of Hana's antics.
"Look, We both have one more class to get to, so I don't know, maybe we should get to it."
While Athena tries to move towards her locker, Hana grabs her wrist with force. Her eyes glare at Athena, blazing with anger and hurt.
"We talk now."
At this point, Athena is over it; over the trial, over crying and blaming herself for everything and she is definitely over letting Hana trample over her like a doormat. Athena then straightens up, ripping her wrist out of Hana's grasp. She gives the other girl a challenging look.
"Fine, let's talk."
