Athena and Felix are avoiding each other.

They dodge pass one another in the halls so blatantly it's really too hard to miss. Felix leaves school before Athena and she takes the long way home to avoid possibly catching up to him.

Of course, their friends notice, but they are unsure of what to do. They aren't even sure why the two were fighting, again.

Felix is annoyed to say the least; with himself, and with Athena. He knows he deserves her cold shoulder. He didn't mean to rush things with her, or forget about how she may be feeling. All his emotions just got the best of him and even that excuse was stupid. But, he is annoyed with Athena and can't pinpoint the reason why.

As they pass in the halls and barely speak to each other in class, Felix wonders what went wrong. Why did she keep pushing him out when he was so close to opening her sealed doors? It didn't even feel fair anymore. They were friends now, Athena herself said she wanted to be closer to Felix and yet, she moved even further away.

She was there for him when he needed her most but she wouldn't let Felix do the same. Saying the boy was frustrated was the understatement of the year. And, as the final cherry on top, he lost the one person who could help him with his chemistry work.

Now he was friendless and bound to fail. Life was looking great for Felix.

The boy knew he had to speak to Athena again, as he always did. Felix couldn't see himself going long without caving to his feelings. This time though, he couldn't have imagined how it would pan out.

it's been a while but i wanted to update before my school gets too hectic again. hopefully i will post more chapters this semester (i'm really hoping to finish this book this year so fingers crossed xD)
