Chapter 32
Letting Go (The Stray Kids Collection: Story #1)Athena sighs as she enters her house. Surprisingly, both her parents are there, sitting cautiously in the dining room. They watch as Athena slouches her way up the stairs.
"You walked home alone today?" Her mother suddenly asks.
"Hmm," Athena mutters, hoping they understand she said yes.
She wasn't in the mood to speak to either of them so Athena continues to make her way upstairs, barely even making eye contact with her parents.
Once Athena arrives in her room, she flops on her bed and lays flat on her stomach, un-moving. The week was long and dreary, and for some reason - to Athena - it felt like it was never going to end.
She hadn't spoken to any of her friends for over seven days. It was odd and uncomfortable but Athena felt as though she had to do it. If not, they'd be targeted just by association. Stupid, stupid! Athena was so tired of it all. She was tired of walking on eggshells around everyone and yet she can't stop. Her mind won't let her, nor will the student body at her school. In moments like these, Athena wished she never met Hyunjin. Then, he'd be alive and she wouldn't be wallowing in guilt. Groaning, the girl rolls off her bed, hoping to try and get some school work done without thinking to much about her situation.

The room is dark when Athena opens her eyes. She lifts her head slowly, pages rustling under her. Half-finished homework lay in front of the girl and she simply sighs, tired even though she'd just awoken. Since obviously it was late, Athena decides to head to the kitchen to find something to eat.
At that same time, Felix approaches their house, ready to finally confront the girl.
