Chapter 48
Letting Go (The Stray Kids Collection: Story #1)A buzzing noise resonates throughout Felix's room, jolting him awake. He reaches out an arm from under his blanket and searches for his phone, hitting his side table a few times before remembering he fell asleep with it on his bed. Groggily, he goes to turn off his alarm only to notice that it was texts causing the vibration.
Felix sits up, still half asleep, and runs a hand through his hair before squinting at the phone screen. There were at least ten notifications of messages from Athena, along with a missed call. He checked the time and saw that it was eight am, and he was positive it was Saturday. Though he loved to hang out with Athena, Felix was tired and currently debating how important her messages were. In the end, the boy flops back onto his bed, his phone ringing in the process. Athena picks up right away.
"Felix!! Did you get my messages? Look outside your window!"
"Athena, it's eight o'clock in the morning," Felix responds instead. "What was so urgent?"
He can almost see Athena roll her eyes as she sighs. "If you would look out your window then you would know what I'm talking about."
The boy raises an eyebrow but does as Athena says, turning slowly to face his window. The sky was an unusual white and as Felix squinted his eyes, he noticed small flakes of white falling, pasting themselves to his window. He gasps noticeably and Athena giggles on the other end of the line.
"It's-"
"Snowing!" Athena finishes for Felix, excited. "That's why I called. Let's go play in the snow together!"
Felix gets up from his bed and places a hand in his window, mesmerized by the white scenery.
"I don't have any winter wear."
"Don't worry Felix, I've got that part covered."
