Felix's mom drops the bomb when they were just starting to cook.

"Henry called."

Felix freezes, his knife half way through an onion. He glances at his mom.
Yong-Sun was simply stirring at the stove but he could tell she was anything but fine.

Felix doesn't say anything for a while. His knife weighs heavy in his hand as he runs over her words. Sighing, the boy continues on with his task.

"That's nice."

"He wanted to talk to you," his mother continues.

"That's nice."

Yong-Sun turns around. "That's nice? That's all you have to say?"

"Well, what am I supposed to say?" Felix counters. "Am I supposed to be extremely overwhelmed with excitement that the wanted child wants to speak with me?"

Felix scoffs at the thought. Like hell he was going to speak to Henry; never in a million years.

"Felix, don't talk like that-"

"Like what?!" Felix exclaims. "I'm simply stating facts. I'm the mistake, the issue and now the perfect, planned child wants to connect? I don't think so."

"Felix-"

"Why are you even talking about this? I know you don't want to speak about them anymore."

Yong-Sun sighs. Felix could read her like a book, but she didn't want to be in the way of a relationship that could work.

"Honey, Henry didn't do anything wrong. You know that, right?"

"Yeah, he didn't do anything, it was all me."

Yong-Sun tries to call his again but Felix drops his knife and shoves the onions toward his mother.

"I'm not hungry. I'll be in my room if you need me."

With that, Felix disappears up the stairs. Yong-Sun groans and runs her fingers through her hair. This was not how she was hoping the conversation to go. Unfortunately,  she had always known that Felix was going to react that way. After everything that had happened, it really shouldn't have been a surprised. Releasing another sigh, Yong-Sun continues to cook, making sure to leave leftovers for Felix.
