The past month had been a complete blur. I only got to see Tiffany about three times, and those times were very short. Our schedule was packed full of recording sessions and practicing choreography. Although we texted and even called each other daily I still missed her.

The bright side of the full schedule was that we were done recording. We now just had to wait for the final touches and we would have the final products of our long hours in the sound booth. It felt great.

Today was the day I had been waiting for for a while now. We were going to start learning the moves for the dance to the song I wrote. I was really excited when the producer brought in the music they had composed for it. It was perfect, even better than I had imagined it.

We had left the dorm early this morning, it was a full day of nothing but learning dance moves. I kind of dreaded it, but since it was going to be to my song I looked past all the bad parts.

Dancing was my weakest point no doubt. I could sing you any song you wanted at the drop of a hat with no problem, but if they asked me to dance it was very nerve-racking for me. Of course I was comfortable with dances I’ve practiced and learned, but to just come up with one, I would rather not.

We were in the studio loosening up when our manager walked in with a smile on his face. Oh God, I thought. What could this be?

“Boys, I have good news,” he said as he came in front of us. We silently waited for him to continue. “You will all be appearing on Star Golden Bell again.”

“Really?!” “When?” The three of us shouted all at once.

“The 27^th of this month, so here in a few days.”

I heard Soo and Yul cheer, but I was sort of disappointed.

The 27^th. That was Tiffany and I’s anniversary, hopefully I’ll have free time afterwards to actually do something with her or at least see her.

I started to pull get out my phone to tell her about us getting on a show, but then our manager got my attention again.

“Also I have confirmation that our Title Track and our first single will be your song Taeyeon.”

I dropped my phone. I was not expecting that at all. I was soon almost knocked down by Sooyoung before he lifted me in a hug.

“Ahh! Aren’t you so happy?!” “This is awesome!” My members said.

I couldn’t even think right now. My song was going to be the single. Our promotional song. Our first chance at hitting it big.

Yes, I was ecstatic that they thought my song was good enough for that, but I was also terrified. If we didn’t do well it would literately be my fault. Entirely my fault.

“Ye-yeah I am. I’m just scared. What if it does badly? I’ll feel like such a failure, it would be all my fault,” I explained truthfully.

“Taengo, don’t think like that. It’ll be a hit,” Yul encouraged. I nodded, not fully believing him.

“He’s right Tae,” my manager said. This really surprised me. Usually he didn’t encourage all that much. He tried to be as realistic as he could. “They wouldn’t have picked your song as the single if they didn’t think it would do well. That’s also why you’re going on that show. So you can give it some PR, and let everyone know you wrote it.”

That made sense. Not many k-pop artists write their own songs, so it is kind of a rare feature.

“Plus you can tell them that you wrote it about-“

“Yah!” I shouted at him.

“A girl,” Sooyoung added quickly.

 This wasn’t the first time they have accidently dropped the Tiffany bomb on our manager. We talked about it the day after I asked her to be mine. We knew we had to keep it a secret from the fans, but especially our managers. Not only would we get in trouble, we could potentially lose our jobs. Sunny and Hyomin were doing a great job. I haven’t even heard any rumors about them and they have been together for around a year.

“Is it any specific girl?” Our manager asked carefully.

“Not really Hyung. I just kind of imagined the scenario.”

“Ahh well good job, I hope you’re working on something new.”

“I am. I already have the beginnings of another song in the works,” I said and smiled. It was another song about a certain eye smiling girl, but who would ever know. Besides my members and I. Oh and I guess SNSD.

I heard a buzz and looked on the floor in front of me. My phone was moving around from the vibration. I picked it up to see that I had an incoming call.

“Yeboseyo.”

“Tae,” the voice on the other end cutely called. I then stood up to go outside of the room so that my manager wouldn’t hear me.

“Hold on…Alright, I’m out of the room. Wait why are you up so early Fany-ah?”

“I was just about to ask you the same thing,” she said with her voice still heavy with sleep. It was very attractive.

I laughed a little. “I told you I was going to be doing choreography all day today, like all day.”

“Oh right, did I tell you that we’re coming to the SM building today to record?”

“Mmhmm,” I voiced. “You better come see me. I haven’t seen you in like a week,” I whined a little. I heard her giggle on the other end.

“Okay, I’ll definitely slip away during our break.” I then heard some more noises coming from her end. I couldn’t tell exactly what it was but I made out the words ‘Taeyeon’ and ‘so cute’. I figured it was Sunny. “Ugh I have to go now okay?”

I laughed. “Alright! I’ll see you later. Bring me snacks! Bye~” I hung up before she could protest my request.

I walked back in the practice room and continued stretching. Not too long after the choreographer came in and started showing us the moves.

About four hours later our manager had come to get our food orders. He then told us that we’d be having our lunch break in an hour. We were then given a tiny break because Yuri had to use the restroom. I quickly grabbed my phone out of my bag and told Tiffany about us going on a break in an hour, hopefully she would get it in time to come see us, well me. Not long after we resumed our practicing.

Thankfully the hour ended sooner than I thought. Almost right on the dot Hyung came in with our food. We thanked him for it and began tearing in to it. It was also the first time since we began we got to sit for longer than five minutes.

I was kind of disappointed when Tiffany and our friends didn’t come. They were really busy recording these days too. She told me their new album is dropping at the end of January, so they only had a month or so longer than we did.

We were just about done with our food when we heard a knock at the door. Sooyoung got up to answer it, I didn’t even know it was locked.

“O-oh annyeonghaseyo,” I heard him say as he bowed. I started to stand. I figured it was someone important if Soo stuttered. I then saw two girls walk in the room.

I smiled as I watched the one look around the room cautiously. She then came toward me and wrapped her arms around my waist. I put my arms around her shoulders and pulled her in to me. I missed her so much. I missed her hugs. I took a breath in and caught a fruity scent.

“Fany-ah you smell really good,” I said and grinned.

Pulling away from me she said, “Yeah, and you don’t.”

“Yah, I’ve been dancing for the past five hours!”

“I know, I’m only joking pabo,” she said as I saw her eyes disappear in her smile. “Oh, I brought you these!” she was searching in her bag for a moment before pulling out a small container and handing it to me.

I opened it and saw slices of apples. I smiled. She really did bring me snacks, I figured she would have totally forgotten. “Say ahh,” I said as I picked one up and put in front of her face. She obediently followed and ate the slice of apple.

I tried to do it again but she stopped my hand mid-motion. “Ani, you need to eat it.” She took the apple from my hand and then fed it to me. “So how’s the practice going?”

“It’s killing me, we only get to eat like twice,” Sooyoung complained earning a round of laughter from everyone, including the icy blonde that was now sitting on the floor.

“It reminds me of the trainee days,” Yuri said.

He was right. Non-stop practices, not getting to see anyone or do anything not SM related, crazy stupid sleep schedules. It was intense.

“You’re right Yul. Hopefully it will get better once our album releases,” I said hopefully as I sat down. I then motioned for Tiffany to sit beside me.

“It does. Kind of,” Jessica said.

“Uh, kind of how?”

“Well you don’t practice as much, but you’re equally as busy. Just after the release it’ll be rehersals, interviews, TV shows, performances, signings, you know, all those kind of things.”

“Yeah those are at least fun though,” Sooyoung added.

“Usually,” Tiffany said from beside me.

“You guys make it sound horrible,” I said.

The girls started laughing. “It’s not that Taetae, it’s just that it’s a lot harder and way busier than everyone thinks it is.”

“Yeah, I’m starting… Wait a minute what did you just call me?”

She tilted her head to the side. “Wha- oh… Taetae,” she said shyly. “Well since you call me Fany, I wanted to give you a nickname.”

“You guys make me cringe,” Jessica said loudly.

“Oh shut up, you’re just jealous.” Tiffany then stuck out her tongue at the blonde. She turned back to me. “So d-do you like it?”

I smiled at her. She was adorable when she was shy like this. Almost no one ever got to see this side of her. When she was on stage or at events she was always the confident and loud Tiffany Hwang that everyone knew. I was really happy that she got this way around me. It made me feel even more special than I do all the other times.

“Come here,” I said as I pulled her in to a hug. “I love it.” I heard her giggle again and couldn’t help but smile.

“Tiff, we better get back. Oppa will be looking for us.”

“Ughhh,” Tiffany voiced as she moved out of my arms. “Alright.”

I quickly stood up so I could pull Tiffany up to her feet. Once she was on her feet I then pulled her in to another hug. “Hey, I’ll see you soon okay?” I felt her nod. “Go sing well!”

She pulled away from me. “You guys practice well too. I’m excited for your comeback.”

“We are too,” Yuri chimed in.

“Ah!” Sooyoung yelled. “We forgot to tell you guys, We’re going to be on Star Golden Bell again!”

“Jinjja?! When?” Tiffany looked at me and asked.

“The 27^th!”

“Oh my god,” Jessica said in disbelieving tone.

“What?”

“We’re going to be on it then too.”

“No freaking way.” I couldn’t believe it. Seriously what are the odds?

“It’ll be like old times,” Sooyoung said happily.

Seriously this made me so much happier. We will be able to be together on our one month anniversary, and on the very stage that we first met.

“Ahh, I’m so excited now. I can’t wait,” Tiffany admitted. “Oh right, we really have to go now. Okay. Bye Taetae!”
