Into the New World
So many things have happened in the past few weeks I don’t even know where to begin. The good thing about this though is that if I happen to leave anything out anyone can find it online by just typing in ‘TYS’ or ‘SNSD.’
We both have been taking over the internet searches…
It was crazy!
Last week SNSD released their song and MV for ‘Mr. Taxi’ and it had been doing great. I think it’s sold near one hundred thousand copies so far, maybe even more!
Not to mention my Tiffany looked fan-freaking-tastic in their music video, like always in her tight leather jumpsuit and the short yellow skirt thing…. Gah she looked good!
The song was released a day before the music video, which was also the same day the last episode of ‘Wild Romance’ aired.
I knew Yul was kind of bummed out too because he wouldn’t get to see Jessica on the regular anymore. If they did plan on hanging out more they would have be careful. The paparazzi and especially the fans were always eager to take our pictures.
He found that out the hard way…
Just yesterday, not even a week after the last episode, he and Jessica were spotted out and about at a baseball game. I just laughed at the news. Those two were a piece of work.
There were even videos of them there too. It was so funny. Luckily they weren’t being too uh, friendly with each other. At one point though it looked like he had leaned over to explain to her what was going one and the fans seemed to have loved that. Yulsic fans everywhere were probably dying a little bit. I mean it was pretty adorable in my opinion. Sooyoung and I to no end when he got home, for we found it online before the game had even finished.
Our fans were intense.
Another reason we were all over the internet was because of the buzz that surrounded our first ever tour being announced a few days ago!
Wah~! I was just as excited as the fans, maybe even more!
No, definitely more…
The only thing some people weren’t so happy about was the same reason we were confused about a few weeks ago; why was f(x) our openers?
Their fans were a little bit angry, but there was literately nothing we could do about it. That stuff was all up to our company.
Our fans, however, were thrilled. Sooyoung posted a selca of us on Instagram the same day it was announced. That said selca was then made in to an article on all the major kpop news sites, ‘TYS takes selca to celebrate tour announcement.’
They really made articles out of anything!
Ahh, I might have to get one of those Instagram things after all though. It did seem like a really good way to keep the fans in our lives.
Ehh, maybe next time!
I pulled out my phone and dialed ‘1’ on my speed dial. It rang a few times before I heard her voice.
“Yeboseyo~!”
“I’m in the garage!” I heard her hum with excitement.
“I’ll be right there!” The phone clicked off.
“Aish, couldn’t even say bye,” I mumbled as I put my brand new car in park. Ah~! It still even smelled new… well I guess this was only the fourth or fifth time driving it… Whatever!
I was glad that Tiffany persuaded me in to getting a larger car too.
Not just for that either! Aish, we haven’t even done that in here yet.
I really enjoyed the roominess of it. In a few years though, I would totally have to buy myself a badass sports car. Ah they just looked so awesome.
I got out of my car and stepped over to the passenger side to wait for my Fany. Thankfully I didn’t have to wait long.
I saw the elevators open just ahead and an eye smiling princess step out of them.
She greeted me with a long hug and a long awaited kiss.
“Mmm,” I hummed. “I’ve missed you.” I hadn’t got to see her that often due to her stupid Japanese promotions and all the schedules she’s been having! Photo shoots, commercials, interviews… you name it, she’s done it.
“I’ve missed you too Tae.” She ran her fingers through my hair. “I can’t believe they made you dye your hair.”
“I know,” I laughed. “Isn’t it horrible?” She sighed and then looked me in the eyes.
“It is.” I laughed at her sad tone. Aigo she was so adorable. I pinched her cute little cheeks, causing her to frown even more so.
I wasn’t a fan of my new dark reddish-maroon colored hair either but…
“At least it’s not as bad as Sooyoung’s.” She nodded.
“You’re right,” she said with a laugh. “Sunny is so disappointed.” I laughed as well. I was a bit disappointed too.
Sooyoung came out of the salon with white, yes, white hair.
Well it might have been supposed to be a platinum blonde kind of color, but it was basically white. Yuri got off easy though, the lucky little .
His new style was just a very, very light brown instead of his usual dark brown/black color. I didn’t think it really suited him, but neither did mine or Soo’s.
I had no idea what SM was shooting for with this.
First me rapping and now we all have funky hair colors? Ugh…
All I know is that after the promotions for this song end I’m dying it back ASAP. I internally groaned. Hell I might even ask if I can after we film the MV in a few days…
“Oh well. Ready to go?” She asked happily. I nodded. After one last quick kiss I opened up the door for her and waited for her to get in. Quickly going around to my side, I hopped in, buckled up, and took off.
“Wah~! I’m so excited Taetae.” I grinned as I pulled out of the parking garage.
“Me too babe! I can’t wait… I just hope we don’t shock the lady too much,” I laughed.
Tiffany’s manager had set up an appointment, but he didn’t really tell her who she was meeting with. He said it was so the woman didn’t tell anyone where we would be, but since it was in such a public place I’m sure it would happen anyway...
He also got an over the phone estimate of how much it would cost. He said he didn’t want her to jack up the prices once she saw who we were, which that one I guess made sense.
The rest of the ten minute or so ride was filled with Tiffany talking about her album she was still recording and how tired she was from yesterday.
“They did nothing but run around all day Taetae,” she said tiredly. I reached up and squeezed her shoulder.
“I’m sorry baby. I’ll give you a massage when we get inside.”
“And I have to go back next week,” she whined. “And the next week!” I grinned.
Tiffany had been chosen to guest on ‘Invincible Youth 2’ with Sunny for the next three weeks. The reason being is that because Sunny had to leave the show to prepare for their Japanese tour they wanted to give a kind of… uh, parting gift… to the viewers?
I guess they thought she should go out with a bang or something and I guess having half of the nation’s girl group on the show for three weeks was a pretty big bang.
However, what she didn’t know was that Sooyoung and I would also be there next week when they filmed. We were invited recently as surprise guests and I was so excited.
“Ah,” the girl beside me called out as I pulled in a parking spot. “We’re really doing this!” I grinned.
“Yes we are Fany-ah!” I was excited as well. I got out of the car and went around to her side to help her out.
Walking hand in hand into the coffee shop we went quickly and silently to the counter. I don’t think anyone noticed us yet under our shield of large sunglasses… that was until the barista let out a small squeal.
Damnit!
I swiftly held my finger up to my lips in hopes to shush her, but it was too late. I saw a camera flash behind me and sighed.
“Can I talk to you manager?” The girl nodded and scurried off in to a backroom. Not long after the girl came out with an ahjumma who seemed equally as excited.
“Annyeonghaseyo,” I bowed. “We’re having a meeting with someone here soon and we were wondering if after we went to your second floor you could, I don’t know… block it off somehow?”
“Ah ne, ne. That shouldn’t be a problem Kim Taeyeon-ssi.”
“Thank you so much,” Tiffany said from beside me.
“Would you mind taking a picture with me… To post on the wall since I’m the owner?” I grinned.
“Of course,” my fiancé agreed. “On our way out we’ll be sure to take a picture.”
“Ah, thank you Tiffany-ssi! What can we get for you? It’ll be on the house.”
“Aye~ nonsense. We’ll pay,” I said with a laugh. “I insist.”
The ahjumma smiled and quickly took our orders. We waited a few minutes and were soon handed our drinks. The owner followed us to the stairs and put a chain across the walk way that said that people weren’t allowed up. Whew.

Since we were around thirty minutes early, I guess it was just the idol in us, I decided to take this time to get some extra cuddles in with my Taetae.
I leaned against him and took another drink of my iced coffee. Taeyeon had some sort of blended drink that actually looked pretty tasty.
“What is that?”
“A mint chip milkshake.” I laughed.
“This is a coffee shop pabo, you were supposed to order coffee.” I felt his chest quickly rise and fall due to his laughing.
“I wanted mint chip though.” I could tell without even looking that he was pouting.
“Can I have a drink?”
“Yah~!” I grinned. “You were just hating on it and now you want a drink?!”
“Mmhmm,” I hummed with a nod. “Ahh~.”
“Fine.” I took a sip of it and- omo.
“Tae that’s really go-“
“Ahem,” someone cleared their voice behind us.
My excitement meter just flew off the charts as I jumped up to greet her. I turned to look at her and her eyes grew.
“Annyeonghaseyo,” I bowed. “I’m Tiffany Hwang. It’s so nice to meet you!” Taeyeon had finally made his way off his and greeted her as well
“Annyeonghaseyo,” the woman replied. “My name is Ga Jisook… I’ll be your wedding planner.”
A gang of butterflies attacked my stomach. We were really doing this~!
“Ne, have a seat,” I motioned across from us.
“I’m sorry about the location,” she said before taking the chair. “If I would have known it were such a uhm, high profile client I would have gone somewhere more private. It’s just that I like to meet my clients in a more relaxed setting to help ease their nerves.”
“Aniyo Jisook-ssi,” I replied. “This is fine with us.”
“Ne, Tiffany loves the whole, sneaking out in public thing,” Taeyeon teased.
“Ah I see,” she laughed. “Should we get started then? I’m sure you two are busy.”
“Ne, but don’t worry we both have free schedules today,” Taeyeon explained. “That’s why we were able to meet today.”
“Oh well good! You won’t regret choosing me as your planner either!”
“That’s why I had my manager call your company first,” I explained. “I heard from my stylist unnie that you were one of the bests and since we have no idea how or even what to do, I hope that you can help us through it.”
“Of course Tiffany-ssi, that’s why I’m here.” I grinned and took Taeyeon’s hand in mine. This was so exciting! “Alright, I heard from your manager, was it?” I nodded. “Yes, he told me that you will be needing the full service planner package, is that correct?”
“That’s where you will do mostly all of the work right,” Taeyeon teased again. I nudged him in the stomach, hard. She laughed.
“Yes Taeyeon-ssi, that’s where I do mostly all the work, or some couples have me do all of it. It really depends on the level of involvement you two want to commit.”
“I want to be totally involved,” I said quickly. “I want to choose the colors and patterns and everything.” I saw Taeyeon nod. “It’s just that with our schedules we won’t be able to go look at everything ourselves and especially not together like most people do.” She hummed.
“So that’s the big issue here?” I nodded.
“Yeah, I’m about to go on a fourteen stop tour in Japan and he is starting his new single promotions here soon, followed by a tour.”
“Ahh,” she said as she took notes in a note book. “I’m sure we can work around it. I do have a few set questions I need to ask before we get to the more, detailed things.”
“Of course, we’re sorry if we interrupted,” Taeyeon apologized. “We’re just really excited.”
“Aniyo, it’s fine Taeyeon-ssi. I get off task often when I’m talking to the couples. It’s always so fun!” I smiled again.
We definitely made the right choice with her! I mean she looks like she really loves her job so I knew right there that she’d do fantastic.
“Alright, the date?”
“This October, on the 27th…”
“We know it’s kind of soon, so we probably should have started with that,” I quickly said. The look on her face wasn’t too happy either…
Uh oh…
“No, that should be just enough time. It might be hard to find a location, but I’m sure with you two being the bride and groom, any location would be happy to have you.” I took a deep breath.
Whew, that was a close one.
Add this to the list of ever growing perks of being an idol.
“Alright moving on,” she continued. “Do you have a guest list or an idea of how many guests you’d like to invite? I’ll need this to see just how big of a location you’ll need.”

“We have no idea.”
“Oh god, we’re doing horrible so far aren’t we?” She laughed again.
“Aniyo, Taeyeon-ssi. Just make sure you two have a number or even a list by our next meeting. Okay?”
“Ne Jisook-ssi. Thank you.”
She then thankfully started to ask us questions we actually knew the answers to.
“Okay now, this is an important one… What is the budget?”
“Uhm, I’m not sure?” I mean we obviously could afford probably anything she threw at us, but to just throw out a number? That was hard…
“We don’t want it to be too ridiculous, but not cheap either… Does that make sense?”
“Yes, it sure does. Usually we just like to get a range so we know how expensive of vendors we need to look for. Like when we rent the place settings or silverware, things like that,” she explained.
“Ahh,” I started. “Well, can we do it just by what we like? I mean, the price really shouldn’t be an issue.”
“Very well, I understand what you’re saying,” she said as she made more notes in her book. “That brings us to the next question, who will be paying for it? In most Korean weddings the families split the costs down the middle, as well as the honeymoon.”
“Jinjja?” I had no idea. Jisook nodded.
“In America it’s usually the bride’s family that pays,” I stated.
“Ah that’s right, you’re from America.” I nodded. “That brings up another big question, will you be having a more westernized wedding or did you want a traditional Korean wedding?”
“We want a westernized one,” Taeyeon responded. “But, we believe both of our parents would like a traditional one as well… Is it possible to do both?”
“Ne, a lot of couples these day have the western style wedding with the dresses and tuxedos and vows and everything else followed by a short ceremony called a pyebaek after the main ceremony in which only the family would attend.”
“Oooh, yeah! Can we do that,” Taeyeon asked excitedly. Oh god he was embarrassing! I just shook my head.
“Of course,” she grinned.
We went on to go over a few more details, like the time of day we wanted to get married and the theme and colors. Just general things like that so she could have a more detailed list for the next time we met. Then we could get to the fun part of picking out colors and patterns and omo. I really am excited about this…
“Okay, and I think that is everything we can do here today,” Jisook said with a smile. “I’ll get in touch with both of your managers for a schedule so we can pick a day to meet next and hopefully in the mean time you two can create a guest list or at least get in touch with me with a number.” She picked up the few notebooks she brought with her and stood up and we mirrored her motion.
“It was a great, great pleasure to meet you both,” she said. “My daughter will be thrilled to hear I’m working with you two.” I laughed.
“Is she a fan?”
“Ah ne, very much so.” I smiled and almost offered her an autograph… almost. “She is Taeyeon-ssi’s biggest fan. Actually she doesn’t want you two to get married because she still thinks she can marry him one day,” she laughed. That little brat!
“Omo, really?” Jisook nodded. “What’s her name? I’ll sign something for her.”
“Really? That would be amazing,” she said as she got out a piece of paper. Taeyeon quickly signed it and handed it back. “Thank you so much, she’ll really love this.” He laughed.
“How old is she?”
“Thirteen.”
“Ahh, how cute,” he replied with a grin.
“Ne, well thank you again! I’ll see you two soon!” We both said our goodbyes waved her off. Sitting back down on the sofa I let out a big sigh.
“I’m glad that’s over.” I heard Taeyeon chuckle as he wrapped an arm around me.
“Are you happy?”
What kind of a question was that?
“With what babe?”
“Everything! The wedding, the planner… me?”
Ohh goodness…
“Yes Tae, she’s one of the best. I really think she can do a good job. Plus we’ll be picking everything, she’ll just be getting it all ready,” I laughed. “And of course I’m happy with you, can’t you tell?”
“Am I doing a good job with all this,” he asked insecurely.
“Oh god Taeyeon come here,” I said before pulling him in to a kiss. “I don’t know what I’m doing either. We’re gonna figure it out together, just like we have with everything else… okay?” He nodded.
“You’re right Fany-ah, and there’s no one else I’d rather figure it out with either. I love you.”
“You’re too cheesy,” I playfully complained.
“Yah~! You’re the one that said you like it.”
“I know, I know,” I admitted. “I love it and I love you… Now let’s go get food, I’m starving.”

We woke up at around seven this morning and quickly showered. Making a quick breakfast, we ate before getting rushed in to the van.
“Dibs on the backseat,” Sooyoung called out before we got to the van. I groaned.
“Whatever, I’ll just sit in the front,” I said groggily.
The reason we had to wake up so early was to make the almost three hour trek to where ‘Invincible Youth 2’ was filming.
I got in the van and immediately laid back the seat. This was a great napping opportunity.
However, hyung had a different agenda.
After we got on the freeway he began talking my freaking ear off. About this and that and how he sent the guest list number that Fany and I created to the wedding planner.
We decided that we were going to have a large wedding and invite a bunch of idol groups as well as our family and friends. Fany even said her dad, sister, and brother will be flying in a week ahead of the date, which I thought was a little silly since we wouldn’t even be in Seoul until two days before. I guess it would give our families time to get to know each other though since they have yet to even meet. Her other aunts and uncles would be coming just a few days before.
We thought of about 110 actual names, but we told hyung to round up to 200 just to be safe. In case we forgot people or needed to add people or something. It was a rough draft style list!
Then he began telling us our schedule for this week and that just made me want to sleep even more since it sounded like I wouldn’t be getting any for the next month or so. We had all kinds of different things to do. IY2 was just the beginning. Ugh, I’m just glad I got to spend it with Fany.
Ahh this was going to be so good though. She had no idea I was coming and neither did Sunny.
Thankfully hyung didn’t harass me again until we were there, well almost there. He told me to hop in the back and wake up Soo about twenty minutes out, so I did.
Since we were being kept a secret he parked behind all the other big vans. That was when we were met by a staff member from the show. We bowed and introduced ourselves and then were quickly led to an area with four other people I’ve never seen before.
“Alright,” A PD, I’m guessing, started. “We’ll be mic’ing you up. These mics are all set to a voice changer too so don’t worry about your identity being revealed just yet. The members will be asking you questions to try to guess who is who and who came for who,” he laughed. “Alright if we can have you sit in this order please.”
“Ahh, this is exciting,” Sooyoung said to me before taking his position.”
I couldn’t agree more!

We had just got done filming the opening scene and we were now being brought around to the back of the house for a Pork Belly Party!
When we got there however, there was a huge screen kind of thing set up that showed six silhouettes. What in the world was going on?
Everyone else in the group showed their confusion as well.
“What is that,” Bora called out, as did Yewon of Jewelry and Jiyoung of KARA.
“We have six guests today. Numbered from 1- 6,” Boom started. “We brought family and a few friends here for Parent’s Day.”
“We’ve invited them to our Pork Belly Party,” Shinyoung laughed. Everyone cheered and clapped.
“Yes, we’ll be asking questions to see if you can figure out if your family or friend came out today!”
“Let’s get started… Number 3, what do you like about number 4?”
“Uhmm,” the person started in a obviously changed voice. “Nice smile?” We all started dying of laughter. Alright, the voice was pretty hilarious!
“Ahh! It sounds like my mom,” Jiyoung said loudly.
“It might be some cute younger singer Jiyoung-ah, don’t get too ahead of yourself,” Boom oppa teased. “Number 4, is there anything you’d like to ask the members?”
“Uhh, nothing? I came here to see someone,” the male said.
“Ahh who? Who?”
“Won’t that give it away,” the voice laughed.
Hold on, that sounded like… No. It couldn’t be.
Wait, there were six people though, and six members, including myself…
Did they bring someone for me?
“Ah ne, I guess you’re right,” Boom laughed.
“Can you tell us something special about your family member or friend out here?”
“Uh ne… She is...,” the voice paused.
“Yes,” Shinyoung pried.
“The prettiest out there?”
“Wow~ that’s a bold statement,” Shinyoung replied over all the girls arguing over who it was.
“Tiffany-ssi?”
“Ne,” I responded quickly.
“Don’t you think it could be you?”
“I’m not sure, I mean I’m just a guest myself,” I laughed. “Would they bring someone for me too?”
“Plus all her family is in the US.”
“Ahh, it could be a friend though too so keep that in mind everyone,” Boom replied. “Number 5?” She replied. “Nice to meet you!”
“Ne, I dressed up today!” We all laughed at her funny way of saying it.
“I think her voice changed,” Boom teased. The lady did sound like she added some extra cute to her voice.
“I was born cute,” the lady said bringing us all to another laugh.
“Yewon-ah, calm your mom down,” Sunny called out.
Okay so number 3 is Jiyoung’s mom, 4 is Suzy’s friend, and 5 is Yewon’s mom. Hmmm… I wonder who’s here for Sunny?
“Umma, calm down,” she laughingly called out.
“It’s not your mom,” Boom said sternly. “Can you show us how cute you are?”
They then proceeded to do a fake phone call that was soo~ cheesy. Aish! Boom was such a fool!
“Now number 6. Hello!” They replied and we could obviously tell it was a man. Omo!
Did they bring Sooyoung?
“Who do you want to talk to?”
“I like Suzy the best,” he answered. I laughed.
That better not be Sooyoung. Sunny might murder him.
“Woow, so number 4 and 6 are Suzy fans!”
“We’ll give you time,” Boom called out.
“Uh, who are you,” Suzy asked.
“Uh..uh Hi,” they said back shyly. Oh god I couldn’t even imagine if that was Sooyoung. Sunny’s face would be priceless. “I can’t wait to see you in person~!”
“Ugh,” Bora groaned. “I think it’s my brother.” Shinyoung laughed.
“Are you disappointed?”
“Aye, aye,” Boom called out. “Some of you already sensed it, but let’s ask some more questions… This is fun.”
“Ne, ne,” everyone said back. It was pretty interesting!
“We’re going to play a game now. It’s an O or X game. So just answer the question by holding up the symbol with an O or an X,” Shinyoung explained.
“Okay, first one,” Boom started. “My family or friend is the prettiest among the members.”
Numbers 1, 2, and 4 all had the O, which represents true, while the other three said no.
“Number 4, your family or friend is the prettiest?”
“Of course,” the guy responded behind the screen.
“Of course? Why?”
“Just look at her,” he called back.
Oh god, they didn’t bring Taeyeon here… did they?
It couldn’t be.
No it wasn’t… but who else would they bring if they did bring a person here for me?
“Sometimes my family or friend disappoints me,” Boom asked next.
Oh shoot, I totally spaced on number 2 answering that last question.
All of them but number 4 held up the yes symbol.
“Oh god.”
“What is it Tiffany-ssi?”
“Did you guys really bring Taeyeon here?” Shinyoung laughed.
“Why would you think that? Like you said you are only a temporary member,” she said.
“It’s just… he’s answering everything like Taeyeon would,” I laughed.
“Aye~ maybe you’re just thinking about him too much,” Boom teased. I laughed.
“Maybe…”
“But~ all of them were disappointed!”
“Number 2, when were you disappointed?”
He went on to say something about when she came home and how she spends more time with friends than with family.
Suzy then said that that was her dad for sure! Hold up. Then who the hell are the other two Suzy fans??
Aish I’m still thinking that number 4 is Taeyeon… I just have a weird feeling now.
They went on to ask number 5, Yewon’s mom, how she was disappointed and she went off on this hilariously long rant about how her daughter never buys her anything or pays for stuff. Omo, she even accidently said her name.
Boom gave her a yellow car, oh my god. It was so funny! I think I had tears in my eyes.
“Alright, alright, last question. My family or friend is very sweet sometimes.”
“Ooh good question for the finish,” Boom called out.
Wahh~! Everyone said yes!
“Number 1, how was she sweet?”
“Ahh, uh. It’s nothing material, but it was very sweet of her when she took care of me when I was sick. That was really touching.”
“Look at Sunny’s face! She’s so curious!”
“Ne, he’s the only one who hasn’t said anything yet so I thought it was for me, but… Now I don’t know,” she laughed.
“It felt like home, and I’m thankful for that!”
“Did we go out,” she asked out jokingly. “Did you guys bring my ex-boyfriend,” she teased.
“You never know,” Shinyoung said right back.
Oh my god… I know Sunny was just joking but, I couldn’t even imagine if it was Hyomin. This was going to be incredible.
They went through a few of the other responses, but then it got to the revealing.
I couldn’t wait to see if Hyomin showed up, or Sooyoung, and especially Taeyeon…
“Bora are you sure your family or friend is number 6?”
“Ne!”
“Who is it?”
“Come out Yoon Jaeseok!” She was right! It was her brother. They actually looked quite a bit alike too.
They talked to him for a minute or so before calling out number 5, who was obviously Yewon’s mom. They were right with this guess too. Her mother came out and they had a short chat with her as well.
“Alright, let’s skip number 4. Number 3?!”
“Why, I’m curious,” Sunny called out.
“Me too,” I said.
“Oh Tiffany wae?”
“I still think it might be Taeyeon,” I said warily…
“Aye, don’t be ridiculous. He’s a big star now, we can’t afford him.” I laughed. Alright, that might actually be true. This show wasn’t necessarily one of the top variety programs…
“Number 3!”
We were right by guessing she was Jiyoung’s mom too. And again when we got to number two! It was Suzy’s dad, just like she predicted earlier.
Now we were down to two members left and two guests.
Sunny, and I…
It has to be Taeyeon. Ugh! Why wouldn’t he tell me he was coming?
“Who thinks number 1 is their friend or family?”
Sunny hesitantly stepped forward. If Taeyeon was here though, Sooyoung usually wasn’t far behind…
“Ahh Sunny’s been wondering about it for an hour!”
“I don’t have any friends like that,” she called out. “Ani,” she said with a sigh. “I know who it is…”
“Oh who? Who?”
“Yeobo! Get out here…”
“Yeobo,” everyone questioned.
And just like I thought, Choi Sooyoung popped out from behind the screen thing.
All the girls started cheering and clapping, he was TYS after all…
“Yah, is Taeyeon back there too?” He shrugged and continued to go stand by Shinyoung.
“Sooyoung-ssi! Why are you here?”
“Ahh, Sunkyu and I have been married for what is it? Almost a year now?”
“Ah that’s right, on ‘WGM.’” He nodded. “Do you two get along well?”
“Uh, ne. I think we do alright,” he laughed.
“Oooh,” everyone cooed.
“Alright now number 4! Everyone’s been waiting for you,” Boom started. “Who thinks it’s their family member or friend?”
I hesitantly stepped out.
“Tiffany-ssi?”
“It has to be me right? I’m the only one left.”
“Ani, I think it’s me too,” Shinyoung said as she stepped up. “It’s my boyfriend,” she said seriously.
“Let’s have both of you call him out like it was your boyfriend,” Boom suggested. Aish!
“Jagiyah, Come on out~!” Everyone started oohing at Shinyoung’s aegyo.
“Okay Tiffany-ssi?” I sighed.
“Seriously?”
“Yes, exactly how you would call your boyfriend.”
“Ugh, Taeyeon-ah~!”
“Aye, that’s not it,” Sunny shouted.
“Yeah, use his nickname,” Sooyoung called out.
I was really killing them when I get home.
“Is that a problem Tiffany-ssi?”
“Ne, if it’s Taeyeon-ssi I’ll call him out,” Yewon started, which made everyone star cracking up. Except me.
“Yah! I’ll do it.”
“Alright for real this time, 1, 2, 3!”
“Come out Taetae~!”
I watched the figure move from behind the screen thing and… It was him!
What a jerk!
I couldn’t believe he didn’t tell me!
“Annyeonghaseyo! I am TYS’s Kim Taeyeon,” he said with a bow. The girls behind me were clapping even louder than before.
“Is Yuri here too,” someone called out as Taeyeon reached me. He pulled me in a big hug causing everyone to ‘ooh’ yet again.
“Aniyo. Just us.”
Psht. Who needed Yuri when Taeyeon was here?
“Wow,” Shinyoung marveled. “Kim Taeyeon-ssi. Why did you come today?”
“Since her family couldn’t be here and I am soon to become Fany-ah’s family,” He said with his perfect grin. “I came.”
“That’s right. Our royal couple is getting married next year and we-“
“Uhm, actually,” he interrupted.
“Omo, are you not? Did it change?”
“Ne.” he responded shyly. I grabbed his hand. “This is the first time it’s being said on anything,” he started.
“Omo, omo,” Shinyoung unnie started freaking out.
“We’re-“
“Moving it to this year,” I interrupted. He looked at me. “What you announced it last time.” I watched him scrunch up his nose at me before he started bowing. Omo!
I guess people were kind of congratulating us.
“Ne, thank you! Thank you very much,” we both said at the mini crowd.
“Do you two always announce your relationship news on variety shows,” Boom teased.
“Hmm, I guess that is kinda our thing now huh?” Everyone laughed.
“Alright! The PD is telling us to continue on so let’s go on to the next game.”
“Ne, we’ll be picking the best family today and the grand prize is a family trip to Jeju!”
I heard everyone start cheering again and Yewon calling out, “We have to get that!”
“It’s including the flight and hotel!” We all cheered louder. Ah~ with Taeyeon here with me it was already putting me in a brighter mood.

Ah~ it was so nice being outside like this. That was until they told us we had to pick lettuce…
What the… Who? How? Ugh… Couldn’t we just play again?
The girls changed in to the ‘farming’ clothes while Sooyoung and I found fun hats.
“Yah, don’t let people catch you laughing in that,” he called out. “They might mistake you for the ahjumma down the street.” I heard Boom start laughing too. Aish!
Eventually the girls were done changing and they came out to meet us. I grinned at Fany in the poofy pink pants. She was so cute!
“Here, I found us couple hats,” I laughed as I placed the big hat on her head. She grinned.
“How do I look?”
“Like a country girl! You know… I might have to leave my fiancé for ya,” I teased.
“Yah~,” she whined as she shoved me away.
Not long afterward we were handed baskets and told to basically go at it.
I looked at Tiffany and then at the cameras. Crap.
They were on too.
“Babe, how do we do this?”
“Don’t look at me, I didn’t even plant them!” I chuckled. She was right… “Go as Jiyoung’s mom, she looks like she’s doing it right.”
“Ani, we can figure it out Fany.” She gave me a disbelieving stare. “I promise. We’ll get it!”
We eventually did. It wasn’t too complicated once we go the hang of it. Basically just don’t destroy the lettuce as you rip it off the stalk and you’re good to go!
After everyone finished they had us sit on a long bench and a wait for further directions.
“This is fun,” I commented. Just then the PD said we were about to start again. He counted down from five and gave the hosts the go ahead.
“The lettuce harvest is finished!” We all reacted and cheered like usual. “We’ve gathered all the lettuce in these few baskets here so we’ll play a game to see who gets them for our Pork Belly Party later on!”
“Ne,” everyone said collectively.
I was excited too, until I heard the game.
There was going to be 12 pieces of pork wrapped in lettuce all set out on a table, but three of them were going to be super spicy I guess. Who ever got those would end up not getting the lettuce, however if you got the spicy wrap and still pushed on like it wasn’t spicy, you team also got the prize.
Ugh, I can’t handle spicy food and neither can Fany. Oh goodness.
We really better get the pork wraps.
Jiyoung’s family went first and… crap! They both got pork wraps. Thankfully we were next. Whew.
We had a good chance to get the pork ones still.
Tiffany and I both picked up wraps. I was anxious for some reason.
“Omo,” Fany said from beside me.
“Wae, wae?”
“I don’t have a good feeling about this.”
“If it’s spicy just pretend it isn’t! You gotta troop through it babe. Fighting!”
“Alright Tiffany~ start!” She called out a weak ’fighting’ before putting it hesitantly in and…
“It’s meat!” I took a deep breath. Whew, I was glad she didn’t get a spicy wrap, but that only lessened the chance for me. They told me to go so I quickly put the wrap in my mouth. I took one bite and…
“It’s meat too!”
“Ahh! The Royal Couple is also the lucky couple today!”
“Okay Suzy’s family!”
They passed and so did Yewon, her mom however… She got caught with a spicy wrap. I laughed, but I did feel sorry for the lady.
It was down to the last four so the MCs made them all do it at the same time.
“I hope Soo gets one,“ I said quietly to Tiffany.
“Yah, be nice.” I laughed.
I was being nice. I just thought it would be hilarious.
“Alright there are two spicy wraps left and two pork wraps.”
They had Bora’s team pick theirs first and then Sunny’s team.
“Okay and~ go!”
All four of them ate the wraps at the exact same time. I kept looking at their faces to see if anyone would give it away.
“It’s meat,” Bora called out.
Sooyoung had already eaten his, so it must have been meat as well. Aish! That wasn’t fun at all.
“Mines meat too,” Sunny cheered.
Wait a minute.
Bora’s brother started coughing and fanning his mouth, but why wasn’t Soo?
“I ate it,” Sooyoung said proudly.
“Omo, did you… did you eat the spicy one,” Shinyoung asked while laughing. He nodded. “Daebak! Sunny’s team gets the lettuce and Bora’s team does not!
The cameras went off while they set up for the next game, but I had to ask.
“Sooyoung-ah, how’d you do that?” He grinned.
“I just swallowed it,” he said before busting out in laughter. “I knew it wasn’t meat after I picked it up, so I had to do something.” I shook my head.
“He’s crazy.” I heard Tiffany hum beside me before resting her head on me. “Are you tired?” I felt her nod. I knew I couldn’t do too much since we were potentially being recorded, so I just rubbed her back. “We can nap the whole way home.” She sat up and looked at me.
“We’re going together?” I nodded.
“Hyung left us here,” I said. “He dropped us off and said he would talk to your manager and then he left.”
I saw her eyes almost get brighter before the PD said that we were going to start filming again.
The started the monologue bit and Tiffany quickly pulled her hand from mine. Ugh! I wish we could cuddle all day.
“We’ll be playing a family speed quiz to earn pork for our Pork Belly Party!”
“Ne, this quiz is for family only! Families will be able to easily solve it.” Boom agreed. “You’ll get 100 grams of pork belly for every correct answer.”
“How much is the maximum?”
“700 grams,” Shinyoung answered.
“Fany-ah, I whispered. “We can do this!” I watched her smile as the MC started talking again.
“Ne, there are seven questions so 700g is a large amount!”
“Let’s get started!”
“Jiyoung’s team first!” We all clapped. “Jiyoung will give her mom the question and she’ll have to solve it.”
As I watched the game I finally understood what they were talking about. Someone behind her mom was holding up a paper with a word on it. Then it was Jiyoung’s job to get her mom to say that word. All the words were related to family things or something only the other person would know, so it wasn’t too hard right?
We were only given a minute though…
They did a pretty good job! They got 3 out of 7 questions. Bora was next and her team only got 1. Her questions were pretty random though… Uh oh.
“Fany do you know what our questions are going to be?” She shook her head.
“I have no idea Taetae.” Oh gosh.
“They didn’t ask you anything at all?” She hummed. “You don’t think they’ll be all about our relationship do you?”
“Probably.” I groaned. “It’ll be fine Tae. We’ll get all of them if it is.” I grinned
I guess she was right.
Suzy’s team was next and they got 3, followed by Yewon, who got 5. Now it was Sunny and Sooyoung’s turn. This would be fun.
“Alright! Sunny and Sooyoung!”
“Do you think you can do well? You’ve been married for almost a year now.”
“Ne, I hope so.”
“Yeah, we’ll need to get all of them because he likes to eat so much,” Sunny teased. I didn’t disagree with that…
“Ready, set, go!”
“You and I had this,” Sunny started. Sooyoung ‘huh’d loudly. I laughed. “Rumors between us,” she added.
“Ah scandal?” The bell rang to signify it was correct.
“We ate this in the office and were scolded.”
“Chicken,” he got right away. Uh oh! We have to beat them.
“Fire explosion, AH~,” she called out.
“Firecracker?”
Aish! He even knew that one?
“Aigo, really,” she asked loudly. “Our wedding anniversary.”
“Oh god… uhmm. Uhm… June?”
“Ne! The date?”
“Uhm, oh god… 15th?”
“Lower.”
“10th?”
“Higher!”
“12th?” The bell rang. Damnit!
“Our uncle!”
“Uncle?”
“Your boss!”
“Lee Sooman seonsaengnim?” The bell rang again. Crap! They had five out of five!
“My favorite actor… Bang!” She made a gun action.
He started naming off different actors and none of them were right!
Ah~!
“Won bin,” he guessed finally. The bell rang, but they were also out of time.
Wooo! This means we could still win.
They got their plate of meat and sat back down.
“You got scolded for eating chicken?”
“Ah, ne,” Sunny laughed. “We were on a harsh diet.”
“It was the greasy chicken too, not the healthy part,” Sooyoung added.
“Ahh, I see…and a brave girl like Sunny is afraid of firecrackers?”
“Yeah, she hates being startled,” Sooyoung answered quickly.
“Ahh, well thank you for the information.”
“Next time we’ll bring four thousand dollars’ worth of firecrackers,” Boom teased.
“Aye~!”
Finally though, it was our turn.
“Ah what everyone’s been waiting for…”
“The Royal Couple Speed Quiz!”
