Okpo Land
Crazy?Minji’s POV
“Wait for me!” He said as he caught up beside me.
“Why? You scared?” I .
“Scared!? Hur! Do you know who am I? I’m Yang Seungho okay. What is scared?” He said proudly.
I stared blankly behind him.
“What?” He looked at me.
“There…” I mumbled.
“Where?” He asked.
“Is that… someone… looking at us?” I asked, still staring behind him.
“Be… Behind… us?” He repeated.
I nodded, looking at him. His face was pale.
“Who…?” He asked.
“I don’t… know. Oh. No.” I mumbled.
“What?” He asked.
“Don’t. Move. Don’t. Turn.” I said.
He looked so nervous to the point it was funny. I pushed him and he screamed.
“I thought you said you’re Yang Seungho!?” I laughed.
He looked at me, shocked, and then started looking around.
“You played a prank on me!?” He yelled, but did not seem angry.
I could not stop laughing to the point my stomach hurt.
“YAH!! Is it that funny!?” He asked.
I was clutching my stomach, squatting down. I looked up at him and nodded.
“You should have seen your own face!” I laughed.
He looked at me and sighed, and then looked away, but from his body movement, I could tell he was laughing too.
“Stop it!” He finally said, but was giggling too.
By then, I was already sitting on the floor, laughing like a fool.
“Are we going in or not!?” He stomped his foot like a kid.
“Yes, yes.” I said, trying to get up, but my knees were weak from laughing.
“I can’t… get up.” I laughed.
He grabbed my arm and pulled me up. He was staring at me as I laughed. I in a deep breath to calm myself down, but ended up laughing harder.
“Stop. It.” He hissed, trying to look fierce.
I covered my mouth, but was still giggling. He narrowed his eyes at me.
“Okay, okay, okay~” I finally calmed myself down.
“Can we go in now?” He asked.
I smiled and nodded.
“Let me take this.” He said, taking my bag from me.
“It’s fine.” I said.
“Give it to me.” He yanked my bag off me.
We headed towards the entrance. We did not have to climb in or anything since the gates were open. We pushed open the gates and stepped in. It no doubt felt a little chilly. We started walking around the area in silence. The theme park rides were still there, but they lay broken and rusty around.
“Oh. That’s the one.” I said, pointing up at one of the cars of the roller coaster.
“What? A duck?” He asked.
“That’s the one that derailed, killing the girl.” I said.
He looked at me with a pained expression.
“Sorry. Just thought you wanted to know.” I mumbled.
He laughed and shook his head.
“It’s still up there. After so many years.” He said, looking at the car.
“Well… The owners of the theme park fled after it happened, and ever since then, the theme park has been left like that.” I explained.
I went on explaining to him what other stuff were there in the theme park and how was it like before.
“How do you know so much?” He asked.
I looked at him, not saying anything.
“How do you think I know so much?” I said.
He looked around, and then back at me.
“You…” He mumbled.
“I what?” I asked, smiling at him.
His smile faded.
***
I did not make up the Okpo Land story. A girl really died there, and the owners really fled after that.
