Clean Cut.

I Lied That!

~~~~~Kris’ POV~~~~~
Jenny and I managed to sneak out to the library and rather than doing a research, we were planning on setting Jenny’s manager up with the librarian. Jenny’s manager is renowned on loving dramas so this being the most clichéd situation we know; we decided to set them up.
We waited until the library closed up and hunted down the librarian.
“Excuse me!” Jenny jumped out in front of the librarian.
“Oh! You scared me!” the librarian screamed, “What are you – Aren’t you the idol that the weirdo is managing.”
Jenny clasped her hands together, “Yes. Yes, I am but I am here to apologise on behalf of my manager.”
“Really?”
The librarian looked pretty sceptical with her arms crossed as she tapped her feet.
“Yes. He’s just… shy? Yeah…”
I chuckled quietly; even Jenny didn’t seem convinced about what she was saying.
“Maybe you and him can talk over dinner and talk over your differences.”
“Urgh…”
“Please?” I begged.
“Okay, when is it?”
“Now,” Jenny answered.
“What? But I-”
“You look good. Don’t worry about it.”
“Um… urgh… oh…kay…”
“Great! Do you go home by public transport?”
“Yes...?”
“It’s okay, we’ve got a car. As much as this seems like a kidnapping, we can assure you that it’s just a friendly meeting. You will be safe and sound and home before 10pm tonight.”
I leaned over to Jenny, “Do you always creep people out when you’re nervous?”
“Possibly,” Jenny whispered to me.
“I’ll go but under one condition.”
“Okay.”
“That idiot does everything my way.”
Jenny smiled, “I am sure that everything will be fine.”
She seems confident…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

We arrived at the restaurant with the librarian.

“I’m sorry, what was your name again?”

“Yoo Kyung Mi.”

“My manager’s name is Han Kwangsoo.”

“Oh, that idiot has a name?”

Jenny smiled nervously as she led the librarian over to the table where Kwangsoo was already sitting.

Kwangsoo looked up at us and crossed his arms, “Oh, so is this why you called me here? To talk to her?”

“Oppa be a man and sort this out.”

Kwangsoo crossed his arms, “You may sit down.”

“I may?” The librarian strained her words.

“It means that I don’t want you to but you have my permission to- ow!”

Jenny mouthed something to Kwangsoo.

“I… apologise…Please, sit down.”

Jenny laughed nervously and sat down next to the librarian.

“Let’s hope this all goes well…” Jenny said to herself.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~Half an hour later~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Omo omo omo! I ship those two together as well!” the librarian jumped in her seat.
Kwangsoo laughed, “I finally found someone who thinks that.”
Jenny was resting her chin on her hand, looking bored.
“Jenny-sshi.”
“Neh?”
“Why didn’t the writers put you together with Zelo? I thought that the whole child hood friend thing was good.”
“Personally, I think Jenny-sshi looks nice with one of the Boyfriend members,” the librarian smiled.
I cleared my throat and Jenny looked up at me.
“Kris-sshi, are you okay?” Kwangsoo asked.
I thumped my chest and faked a cough, “I think I need to go out for a walk.”
“I’ll go with you!” Jenny stood up and gathered her things.
“Don’t go any longer than half an hour,” said Kwangsoo before turning to the librarian and smiling, “Come to think of it… take as long as you want…”
The librarian, obviously now smitten over Kwangsoo, blushed.
Jenny’s eyes widened, disturbed, she walked out of the restaurant.
I finally made it out of the restaurant.
“Hey, aren’t you scared we’re going to get caught? You’re not wearing any disguise or anything.”
Jenny gave me a reassuring smile, “Don’t worry, we won’t get caught.”
It reminded me of when we were filming for Alpha’s music video when Jenny went off and bought dinner for the crew.
Jenny suddenly stopped dead in her tracks and took off her back pack. I curiously watched on as she pulled out a polaroid camera.
I scoffed, “I guess you are a girl after all…”
Jenny pouted, “What is that supposed to mean?”
I took her polaroid off her and held it up as I tried to take a photo.
“Hey! What are you doing?!” Jenny jumped in front of me to take back her polaroid.
I leaned my head to the side to try and get a good angle but it didn’t feel right.
“Did you just forget that I’m a black belt in several fighting styles?” Jenny asked.
I continued walking forward as I tried to find a good angle to take the photo, “Was that a threat?”
I can hear Jenny mope to herself as she walked before me.
I lifted the polaroid to my left and tilted my head. As soon as I pressed the button, I felt Jenny’s hands wrapped around my neck.
Calm down! Don’t let your heart beat too fast or else Jenny will find out and things will go awkward and weird. Just breathe…
By the time I turned around, Jenny was already back on the ground with her polaroid in her hand, looking all proud of herself.
“Wha-what? How?”
Jenny’s eyes scanned me from head to toe and scoffed before shaking the polaroid picture.
“Why-why did you jump on me like that?”
“I’m not wasting any of my polaroid film on you, I at least have to be in it. These polaroid film don’t come cheap and I don’t like fans buying these kind of things.”
I looked at the photo that Jenny was shaking.
“Did the photo turn out well?”
Jenny shrugged and put the photo into her back pocket, “For me to know and for you to never find out.”
“Aye… that’s not fair.”
Jenny patted me on the back, “Has life ever been fair Mooseboy?”
I narrowed my eyes at her and snatched her camera off her and quickly took a photo of myself with her in the background.
“Kris! Give it back!”
“Nah… I think I’ll keep this one.”
“At least tell me how it turns out.”
I gave her back the camera and put my hands behind my back as I leaned down to face her, “That’s for me to know and for you to never find out.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

After going for a 5 minute walk, we decided that it was too hot and that it was best if we were inside the restaurant where there was air conditioning. And then after another 25 minutes of listening to Jenny’s manager and the librarian talk about how much they love watching dramas and their “ships”, we were finally going home! Woot!

“I don’t know why I judged her, that woman is… amazing…”

“You got her number; you can always call her again tonight or tomorrow.”

 My phone vibrated in my back pocket. Who could it be?

To: Kris
From: Fiona

Meet me at the park where we decided to tell Jenny about our relationship.

“Someone seems upset…” Kwangsoo looked at me.

“Sorry, I have to go somewhere.”

“You go sort things out with Fiona. I’ll be fine.”

“How’d you-”

Jenny patted me on the back, “It doesn’t matter, just go.”

I nodded and ran off to find a taxi.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I reached the park and looked around for Fiona. I thought about it a lot in the taxi ride here and I have to break up with Fiona. A clean cut from her. I don’t want her to hurt anyone but it seems like Jenny already has a plan to take done Fiona, especially with using the red pendant to mess with Fiona’s black magic.
“Oppa! It’s so nice to see you!”
Fiona went for a hug but I stepped back.
“Oppa, what’s wrong?” Fiona pouted, “You’ve been acting really distant the past few months.”
“Why wouldn’t I? I know what you do Fiona. I know what you did.”
“What did I do?”
She’s still trying to lie at a time like this? I’d rather her change quickly back to her true self than to keep up this act.
“Stop acting. I know that you use black magic.”
Fiona’s eyes widened in shock, “You-you- you know? I thought only Jenny knew.”
“Yeah, despite all the times that you told me that Jenny was distrustful; you were the one that has been lying to me this whole time.”
“Oppa, don’t be like this.”
“Why’d you do it? Why did you turn to black magic?”
“I only used it to teach Jenny lessons that she would need in life. She allowed fans to get too close and so I had to-”
The kidnapping… she was behind it?
“You were behind that sasaeng fan!”
She was willing to put Shin Ah’s life on the line. Shin Ah wasn’t even part of this and yet Fiona was willing to put Shin Ah through that…
“It’s not like anyone got hurt.”
“Not like anyone got hurt? That was psychologically scarring for Shin Ah.”
I narrowed my eyes at Fiona. Okay, this has to be a quick, clean break.
I can’t let her hurt Jenny anymore. I can’t let her hurt anyone else.
“I sure you got the message but if you didn’t, we are over. Then again, I don’t even know if WE were together in the first place.”
Fiona grabbed my arm, “Can you truly believe that Jenny is a goody goody?”
“Wh-what?”
“Ahh… so you can’t trust her either.”
I jerked my arm away from her grip and walked away.
