I looked out to the streets of Seoul in a very dramatic manner. I can kind of understand by the characters in drama do this, it’s kind of relaxing. I looked down and I could see some fans camped across the street from our apartment complex. It’s winter, why the heck are they outside like that? It’s 10pm, shouldn’t they be studying? Those girls down there are still wearing their school uniform.

I leaned over and they saw me so they began screaming loudly. I waved to them before turning the music up in my headphones. I needed to think about something important; it wasn’t because I didn’t want to hear the support of fans.

The reason I was up here was because I kept thinking about Fiona. For some reason, I feel like I’m developing feelings for her. We talk on the phone for hours and I feel like she understands me so much even though I don’t say anything at all. But EXO hasn’t even debuted for a year yet, getting into a relationship would be too dangerous. But what if my feelings for her are really genuine and I miss that opportunity. Fiona has had a lot of crushes and she has also moved on with them pretty quickly when she sees that she’s going nowhere with them.

I heard some fidgeting and I turned around to see Jenny. What is she doing here? She was avoiding me so much before why is she doing this now?

I pulled my headphones off and hung it around my neck. Is she trying to cause trouble again? The rooftop is my thinking place.

She knocked over a few things and laughed awkwardly.

“Waddup Krease?”

I sighed and put my hands on my hips, “Why are you up here?”

“What? This rooftop is yours now?”

“Why are you up here?”

“Well, I’m filming Show Me the Money with Fiona… so I wanted to get in some practise. Why are you asking?”

“Why are you talking to me? You ran off last time I confronted you.”

Jenny frowned, “I wanted to give you a proper answer but you were daydreaming.”

“And you took off to Australia. How did that make things not suss?”

I crossed my arms and narrowed my eyes at Jenny.

Jenny clasped her hands together, “Since you are here, I’ll tell you. So you’ve heard of the term sasaeng fans right?”

I nodded my head, “Yes.”

She let out a big sigh before continuing, “My position in the group is main rapper, vocalist and leader. I used to think that being an amazing rapper was everything but then as time went by, as the thought of being the leader sunk in, I felt like I have to make sure that everyone feels safe, everyone feels happy, everyone feels comfortable.”

I don’t disagree with her… even though I’m not the oldest, I feel like I should be the biggest brother in the group.

“All the members of my group have been worried for our safety because of a sasaeng fans. Unfortunately for Shin Ah, there’s one that has decided to go that extra step.”

I straightened my back and cleared my throat. I don’t know why I am feeling this way because she’s clearly lying.

“What happened?”

“The sasaeng fan hacked our computer, called and texted Shin Ah with extremely creepy messages and sent her things that give me nightmares.”

“Where’s the proof?”

“Can you wait a three months? We have just started our promotions.”

I shook my head, “Then I won’t believe you until then. What you said was right, I need evidence and until then-.”

“You haven’t found any evidence yet?” Jenny’s eyes lit up.

“Don’t be so happy, after your promotion period, I better see some evidence so show you’re innocent.”

A part of me wanted her to leave so that I could think clearly but another part of me wanted her to stay so that I could talk to someone about this. But I don’t want her to know what’s going on. She’ll use it as black mail.

“Okay… then… I guess I’m just going to roll-like-a-buffalo outta here.”

Jenny turned around and I looked into the building to see if anyone was there. Jenny was walking away when I grabbed her arm.

She quickly looked up at me, “What-what are you doing? I said I’ll show you the evidence after ALPHA finishes our promotions.”

I cleared my throat and let go of her arm.

“Can – can you just… can you just not question what I do for the next half an hour or so?”

Jenny laughed as stretched her arm out towards my neck. Urgh… what does she think she’s doing. She took off my headphones and placed it over her ears.

“Leaders united. Please rant away.”

I took my phone out of my pocket and changed it to an ALPHA song. I changed it to ‘Dear Diary’. I like the song; it’s about a person not knowing what is going on with their relationship, do they love the person or not.

“Oh!” Jenny smiled, “I help write this song! Min Jung composed the-”

I covered Jenny’s mouth with my hand and she gave me an apologetic look.

“Sorry…”

I laughed as I adjusted the headphones just to make sure she wasn’t listening.

“- and I have been so concerned about-”

“… I know we lose sometimes and models throwing up at night to get thinner but the world keeps spinning like a wind will. Whatever happens, keep it colder than a wind chill, until then just know you’re gonna win still. You’re just another dead bug on my wind shield. Splat!”

She must be practising for that show she’s on with Fiona.

I took off the headphones and she looked at me with a confused look.

“You’ve finished ranting?”

“You should practise your rapping; I don’t want you to ruin Fiona’s audition.”

Jenny nodded nonchalantly, “That’s reasonable.”
