~~~~~Kris’ POV~~~~~

How can she be such a liar? Has anything she said been the truth? Everyone keeps standing up for her but I was the one that saw the screen. I SAW what it said. She was making a malicious file. It might not have been the one specifically on mine but no virus is a good virus. She wants to harm someone, for all we know; she could be stealing personal information or exploiting people to vote for ALPHA. If I don’t get to the bottom of this, I feel as if everyone who thinks she is a good person will get hurt. Unfortunately, some of those people are close to me and I cannot let that happen.

“Jenny Nguyen. You listen to me very carefully, if you take one more step and don’t tell me what is really going on, I will expose you to the company and let’s just say that ALPHA might be better without you,” I said in a stern voice.

Jenny lowered her head as her feet began dragging across the ground until she halted.

“You wouldn’t happen to have headphones, would you?”

What? Is she trying to look all vulnerable and innocent like she did with the MP3 recording session? Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice… it’ll never happen again.

“Don’t act all innocent. What exactly are you hiding?”

Jenny pursed her lips together as she kicked the snow.

“TELL ME!” I raised my voice.

She looked at me with cold eyes and she let out a laugh of disbelief.

“Why don’t you tell me? You seem to act almighty, you seem to know everything. Why don’t you tell me? Why doesn’t the great Detective Wu tell me what he THINKS is going on? YOU TELL ME!” Jenny shouted out me.

I looked into her eyes and for some reason; my gut was telling me that she wasn’t guilty but my brain was telling me was… I think.

“You never tell anyone your true feelings anyways. Why should people you anything? Lying and keeping quiet are two VERY different things. Don’t let your biased opinion of me get the better of your rationality.”

“Then give me some facts so I can make rational choices.”

Jenny laughed, “Why? You want to tell the company but before you do that, you’re going to need some cold hard evidence because without the cold hard evidence, you’re going to look a lee-tle like a fool.”

“I wouldn’t want to do all the work for you, now would I? Detective Wu,” she said sarcastically, “Anyways, the fun is in journey, not the destination. Unless you are holding a grudge against me and you actually…”

------------Flash back------------

I was at the airport with Sammy and Tao last year.

“I can’t believe she’s leaving…” Sammy had a sad look on her face.

I pursed my lips together and crossed my arms, “It’s such a shame… I’ll really miss her.”

Suddenly Jenny popped out of nowhere, dragging her luggage behind, “Did I just hear that you will miss me Kris? Aw… that’s so sweet…”

Her face suddenly changed to a playful-mad expression, “You only show it ten minutes before I board the plane? Seriously?”

Sammy pouted, “Are you really leaving SM?”

No one wanted Jenny to leave SM. Not even the Korean trainees wanted her to leave. I hate to admit it but I would really miss her.

“Aye… guys. Don’t get so sad. Remember, the fun is in the journey, not the destination.”

“Group hug!” Sammy shouted out as she forced us all into a hug.

I put out my hands at Jenny and she grabbed my shirt and pulled me down. My height still gets to her. Hah!

“You better grow anymore during the time I board that plane and when I come back to Korea.”

“Yeah, yeah,” I put my arm around her neck.

“You too, Tao,” Jenny laughed.

“Yeah, I am the only one allowed to grow here,” said Sammy.

We all laughed but an awkward silence soon followed.

“Alrighty. I’m going to board the plane now,” Jenny forced a smile.

I put my hands in my pockets and nodded, “Okay. We’ll take you to the gates.”

“Nah, I’ll walk there myself. I don’t you guys bawling your eyes out to see me leave.”

“Psh!”

Sammy let out a sigh and put her fist out, “See ya.”

Jenny returned the fist bump, “See ya.”

She hesitantly held onto her luggage handle and turned around.

“Bye for now, not forever!”

I snapped out of my thoughts and Jenny was gone. How long was I out of it for? Does she really think that she’s going to get away with it that easily? I will get my cold hard evidence and when I do, you will no longer be putting ALPHA and the company in jeopardy.

And what is up with these strange memories. They’re not even how things happened. I went on the airport that day because Fiona was conveniently coming from Australia. I wasn’t there for Jenny. I was in no group hug. The other thing didn’t happen.

I put my hands on my hips. Something felt so strange. Why do all these strange dreams and visions seem so real? Maybe I should get to the bottom of this first before I do anything else. Dreams like these ones have to mean something… No way is this related to stress.

Ah! I should call Fiona. She’s into the whole supernatural thing. Fiona is really superstitious. I should call Fiona.

-------------Phone call------------

Fiona: Oppa!
Me: Hey Fiona, I need your help with something.
Fiona: What?
Me: I know this is going to sound strange so don’t judge me.
Fiona: *laughs* Okay, I won’t.
Me: Can you decode some dreams for me?
Fiona: *pause* Urgh… okay. Sure.
Me: Great, so when these dreams seem so real, almost like a memory, what does it mean?
Fiona: Like how?
Me: Like… it is a memory but it seems twisted. Things have changed.
Fiona: So what you’re saying is that a few things have been added here and there?
Me: Yes! Exactly.

Wow, Fiona understand me so easily.

Fiona: And they seem real?
Me: Yes.
Fiona: Can you give me an example.

None of these dreams have Fiona in them when she was clearly in them in reality. I should probably make it up so I don’t hurt her feelings.

Me: For example, I would be at a restaurant and instead of being with Luhan, Chan Yeol and Tao. I was with… Tao, Se Hun and Lu Han.
Fiona: Look, you don’t judge me. This is just my thoughts on the situation.
Me: Okay.
Fiona: Based on my very superstitious background *laughs*, I have to say that those dreams… they were once a reality and for some reason, it has changed and the reality that you know of, is just the result of a change. Is it confusing?
Me: Uhh… kind of.
Fiona: Someone used magic to change your current reality to a reality. So your dreams were originally the reality.
Me: *laughs* Ayee… that’s not true.
Fiona: *laughs* I know right?! That’s so silly. You’re just really stressed. Get some rest. I have to go back to practise now. Bye
Me: Bye!
