KIM JINAH

As soon as I woke up, I ran to his room unfortunately he already left. His favourite book was left on the bedside table. I thought of reading it but I didn’t because for sure I would understand nothing.

I returned to my room with a heavy heart.

                “Young Lady, someone’s looking for you.” Jieun informed me.

I went out of the room and was surprised to see GyuRi. She was holding a basket full of fruits.

I walked towards her and invited her to stay in the room for visitors.

                “I heard that your husband isn’t here so I thought of paying a visit because I know you’re alone.”

She put the basket down the table.

                “What about Sungyeol?” I asked looking behind her.

                “He” she paused. “He doesn’t, no ahh,, he said he’s doing something and so he couldn’t come.”

                “Really?”

I was saddened by her information.

                “Don’t think of him, l came here for you. I almost forgot……

I wasn’t able to concentrate because my mind started on flying.

Youngmin, leaving for Japan and Sungyeol, not wanting to see me?

For sure Sungyeol was mad at me and I don’t know what to think!

                “JinAh, are you listening?” she was shaking my hand.

                “Deh? What were you saying again?”

                “I said I gotta go, Umma called and she wanted me to help her fixing our things in the house.”

                “I thought you want to stay with me?”

She stood up and grabbed her bag.

                “I know but you’re not in the right condition to talk to, maybe you can rest and stop thinking of things that will make you stress, arasseo?” she gave me a hug before she left.

I was lying on the bed and it felt really empty without him.

SCHOOL

I walked on the corridor alone heading to the classroom, sat on my chair and stared outside the window.

 I heaved a deep sigh when suddenly someone covered my eyes.

                “Who’s this?”

I heard nothing so I decided to guess.

                “Sungyeol?”  And that released me.

He pulled a chair and sat in front of me.

                “It felt like a long time without you, JinAh.”

My forehead creased. Like WHO was this guy sitting and talking in front of me.

I was only pulled back to reality when he tapped my forehead.

                “Who are you?” I finally managed myself to speak.

                “You’re friend, Lee Sungyeol!”

He stood up but before he could take any further step, I grabbed his wrist. I stood really close to him and observed his face. His way of standing, his clothes and shoes and of course the colour of his hair. It all changed!

                “What happened to you?”

It was the first question that popped in my mind.
