“W-why are you guys…here?” The monolid woman grew flustered and curious, her eyes rounded in surprise.

“We’re supposed to be the one asking you that. Where the hell have you been?” Solar stood up from one of the bar chairs. Byul crossed her arms with her questioning look.

“Noona…did you know that we all thought you were kidnapped?” Johnny mused, his forehead slightly creasing.

“Well, one of Hyun’s bodyguards approached me. I thought something urgent came up. And I was with Krystal the whole time.” Seulgi explained as she tilted her head.

“Everyone is worried you know? Who says you should leave your things unattended at the airport?” Byul grumbled in annoyance because she was worried sick too.

Krystal flinched, perturbed at the reason why she immediately asked for Seulgi’s presence.

“I…” She doesn’t know how to say it but they deserved to know. “Actually, I had you on surveillance. I know you asked my cousin to be alone on your trip. I was skeptical about it since we have this situation with Seungwan’s father. I know all of you know that,”

Krystal sighed, she’s not fond of sharing such information but right now, she had to.

“I don’t want to scare all of you…but it was reported to me that some men are following Seulgi. I tried to check those people…they are Son Seungwoo’s goons.” Krystal revealed, everyone grew still.

The youngest Jung blinked, she was not bothered with the information she disclosed but with something else.

She took a glance at each of them. Johnny, Solar, Byulyi, and last Seulgi. Her eyes widened.

“W-where is Joohyun unnie?” She asked. Byul scratched the back of her head as she replied, “We talked earlier, she said we’ll meet here. But…that was two hours ago.”

Krystal closed her eyes briefly and groaned miserably.

“Why? W-what~” Seulgi was out of words. She shook her head and tapped Krystal’s shoulder. “Ya, Krys…”

They all stopped when they heard rapid footsteps padding towards them.

“U-unnie!” Krystal shrieked, she sensed her sister’s troubled expression.

“We have to go! Let’s go!” She yanked Krystal with her confused appearance. “We don’t have time.”

“W-wait! What’s going on?!” Seulgi demanded, Jessica paused. Then her forehead crumpled into somewhat unfathomable.

Seulgi didn’t get an answer that made her furious.

With gritted teeth, she asked once again. “What.is.going.on?!” She put a stress on every word.

Jessica sighed while her sister was sending signals to her. Until she looked away after mouthing, “Tell her.”

“Seulgi calm down, okay?”

“Unnie, just tell me. Did something happen to Hyun?” Words broke out from her lips, shaky and unsteady.

“She texted me earlier…and, she told me that she’ll be needing some back up because she’s gonna rescue you from Seungwan’s father,” Jessica bit her lower lip, not knowing how to say it in a very clear yet careful manner so as to not give them a hard blow at what was happening.

“She’s there, thinking that you’re in the hands of your supposed to be captor. I’m sorry. But we don’t have much time to spare. I know that Joohyun is capable of fighting back. Regardless, she needed some help or something might really happen to her.”

“Krys, we have to leave now.”

The younger Jung nodded. They haven’t reached the living room yet when Seulgi stopped them.

“Wait. I’ll go with you.”

“Seulgi…you can’t~”

“Either you’ll let me go with you or I have to follow you secretly. I won’t let my wife go to the battle alone.” Seulgi snapped at the two, even though she didn’t mean it. She’s just aggravated, if only she listened to her wife. None of this would have happened. Joohyun won’t be in that situation if she complied with her wife’s intention to protect her, for precaution.

Krystal and Jessica shared knowing looks before they gave in.

“Okay. But you have to calm down and don’t do anything rash.” Jessica pointed out.

Seulgi stared at the three before she left with Joohyun’s cousins.
