"I don't know what happened, Byul. I had her things sent home. But are you certain? That she didn't leave the country?" Irene was frowning real hard, she tossed her bag on the passenger seat.

"I already checked but Kang Seulgi is not included on the passengers' list. Have you tried calling her?" Byul's tone was soft and shaky. Irene could sense that she was worried too.

"I did. I can't even count how many times I tried contacting her. I almost incapable of feeling my thumb." She muttered darkly.

Irene's tensed jaw clenched and unclenched. She might not blurt it out but worry was eating her up.

Why the hell did she decide to fly commercial? At a time like this, she should have used the private plane. Damn it, Kang.

Byul snorted from the other end. "Alright. I'll see you later...I just have to get my work done here. After that I'll head to your house." She assured before she ended the call.

Irene groaned as she let her head touch the steering wheel of her car.

"Where the hell are you, Seul?" She exhaled.

She winced at her negligence. The unforeseen event was her fault. She was blaming herself for not driving her wife personally.

She grunted as her mixed thoughts filled her mind.

After minutes of thinking, she heard soft knocks on her car's window. She pressed the button as the window rolled down.

"Yes? Can I help you?"

"Don't you remember me?"

The female's eyebrows crumpled in bewilderment, trying to recall the man before her.

"Han Joohyuk, does that name ring a bell?" He arched his eyebrow while helping her to remember him. Irene shook her head, unsuccessful to recollect her memory of him.

"I'm sorry. I don't remember. But, why a~"

"I-I saw your wife. VP Kang of Hyundai Motors, she's your spouse, right?"

At the mention of her name, Irene's head perked up. She immediately slid out of her Aston Martin to properly face the male.

"You saw Seulgi? Where?"

"A-at the airport. Someone was dragging her out. I don't know where they are taking her. I'm actually on my way to report it to the police. But then I saw you." Joohyuk told her, she leaned on her car as she weaved her fingers through her hair.

"Take me there."

"B-but Irene-ssi…"

"I said take me there." She snapped as she got inside her car. The male stood there, confused.

Irene paused after she started her car. "What are you still doing standing there? Get in!" She used her eyes to gesture him to get inside her car.

The man was flustered and he nervously slid to the other side.

Subsequent to putting his seatbelt on, the car began to move as they left the place.
