CHAPTER 79

 

 

YG family is back to work. 2NE1 is in the recording studio and hanging out with the producers and the staffs of 2NE1TV Season 2. They’re discussing about their soon to be released Japanese album. They are already preparing for it.

Bom said “I’m still not good in speaking Japanese~”

Rina Moon, YG’s producer and songwriter, said “Big Bang was also not good before but they try to learn it. They’ve been there.”

CL said “Were they good?”

Kim Gi Woong, 2NE1TV Head producer, said “Uhh…Taeyang, Daesung and Seungri are.”

Minzy said “How about TOP oppa and Jiyong oppa?”

“Eh—they’re also…yeah, good but not that good although they are kind of but not that much.”

Bom said “You made it complicated to us! Just say it that they’re not so good at it.”

They laughed. Dara said “But how come I heard them sing Japanese on their albums?”

“That is because, they’re reading it.” –Choi PD.

CL said “But they could understand Japanese? I’ve watched their interviews and they speak good.”

“Okay. Yeah, they’re good.” Choi PD said. Hahaha!

Minzy said “Aigoo. I’m going to tell you to them!”

Until the door opened and it was GD! He is heck of a weary man when he entered and said “Teddy hyung, is he here?”

Choi PD said “Yo. No, I think he’s out for today.”

“Ahh.” GD said. He was about to go out.

Choi PD said “Ya! GD, Why are you looking for him?”

“YG is looking for him so he asked me to find him.’

“Have you checked his recording studio?”

“*smiles* Of course! It’s the first place I went to before here!” –Yes, because it’s ‘Teddy’s recording studio so he must be somewhere there and it’s the perfect place to look up to when he’s not anywhere else in YG building.

Choi PD laughed. He said “Okay.”

GD was heading out when Minzy speaks, “Oppa!”

GD looked back and said “Ne?”

Then he saw Dara who’s just beside Minzy. He smiled at her as a greeting. Bom and CL saw it.

Minzy said “Oppa is saying something lately!”

“What?”

Minzy looked at Choi PD. Choi PD said “Aish. Minzy-ah! How about we cut the recording when it’s your part?”

2NE1 laughed to it. GD said “What is it?”

CL said “Should we tell it to him?”

“Aish! This is causing me time! I have to go!”

“Where are you going?” –Choi PD.

“Kush’s house.”

“Alright.”

Then he said “Annyeong.” to everyone inside.

They say ‘bye’ to him as well. Now GD is out in the YG building for today. Teddy and Kush are also not around. Is this a producers’ day off? LOL. Nah, when those three are out, they are actually the busiest people that no one can ever imagine. The workaholics!

 

GD goes to Kush’s house to let him hear his newly composed songs and asks for his opinion. They worked on it the whole day. 2NE1 members are not as busy unlike others. Seungri of Big Bang is preparing for his upcoming album.

So Dara and Minzy, together with TOP, go to watch Se7en’s performance on their free time and to give their sunbaenim a warm support. Se7en was still busy for promoting his album that was released recently. After performing, Se7en gets to bond with Dara and Minzy on the waiting room.

He said “You came. You’re not busy?”

Dara answered “We’re not that busy. Hehe.”

Minzy said “You’re awesome!”

“Thank you. Did you all eat your lunches already?”

“No, not yet.” Dara said.

“Dara, you look good today.” He said.

Minzy said “Dara unnie always looks good! Her beauty is natural!”

Se7en smiled to it. He looks at TOP next, he said “Yo! My bro! Aren’t you doing anything too? I thought you’re busy for Big Bang’s album?”

TOP said “Ani~ All of them are occupied this day, so I’m the only one who has nothing to do.”

“That’s why you came here?”

“Yes.” –Hahaha!

“Ayyy~ This is like a ‘no-choice-option’.”

“Yeah, something like that.” TOP said in response.

They all laughed. Se7en said “Anyway… Have these lunches with me. Han Byul cooked this! ^.^”

“Really? Will she come?” Dara asked.

“Later…”

“Oh! That’s great! It’s been a while too since we last saw each other.”

“Han Byul is busy shooting for a new drama.”

“Ah…That’s good.”

Minzy is currently an outcast to the both of them that’s why she just eats the food alone. Haha!

Se7en, Dara and TOP eat while they’re conversing with each other. People with closer ages to each other really get along. Haha! Later on, they joined Minzy to the discussion.

Se7en keeps on teasing Minzy like an older brother who teases his younger sister.

 

Hours go by, Minzy goes back to their dorm already. Han Byul came then Se7en and Han Byul go out in a fine dining restaurant together with Dara and TOP.

Se7en and TOP are talking to each other while Han Byul and Dara have their own business on the other side.

Han Byul said “Dara. It’s been a while.”

“Ahh~ Ne! You look prettier!”

“I came from shooting lately.”

“That drama will be a hit.”

“Thank you. So… how are you?”

“I’m fine. You?”

“My work is stressing me a little bit but I’m okay.”

“You’re lucky to be invited to be a cast for a drama.”

“Ne. You’re also lucky! You’re of a famous girl here in Korea! 2NE1 rocks!”

“Oh. Thank you so much!”

“No worries. I like your new songs in your album! I was playing it on repeat in my iPhone.”

“Did you already buy one? Haha!”

“I’m planning to… maybe on my free times at work, I’ll try.”

“Haha. You should buy one. It’s awesome!” –Haha!

“I know!”

“What is your favorite song among all?”

“I can’t seem to pick one.”

“Just the song that you like…”

“I like the one with “Bad bad~ but I’m so good, good~” Aigoo! I really can’t sing! *laughs*”

“Oh. ‘Can’t Nobody’!”

“Yeah, that one! Although I don’t usually dance but I’m secretly dancing in my room when I’m hearing that.”

Se7en heard it. He laughs. Han Byul said “Why are you laughing?”

“Nothing.”

“You! *tickles him*”

Se7en laughs more. Haha. Sweet couple!

Dara was just smiling while looking at them. She thought “I wish he was here with me too…*sigh*… Unfortunately, my boyfriend is a work freak!~” –LOL.

Han Byul looked at Dara and said “Sorry for that. *chuckles and stops playing with Se7en* How’s life?”

“It’s at peace, somehow.”

“Love life?”

“Love life……it’s okay.”

“You mean okay, as in ‘okay…you’re stable and single’ or okay, as in ‘yeah, you already have someone’.?”

“Uh….” looks at Se7en and TOP. Se7en was just smiling and TOP has no reactions at all, pure and blank. Haha! Se7en is smiling, meaning, he is not trying to avoid her for saying it to his girlfriend.

So Dara said “I’ll go with the first okay.”

Se7en was surprised. He said “What?!”

Han Byul looked at him and said “Why?”

“No. I was just…I can’t believe it. Hehe.”

Then he looked at Dara like “Aren’t you----?!” but Dara also looked at him and she’s saying something through her eyes, “It should be a secret!!”

Han Byul said “Hey. What’s up? Is there anything that I don’t know?”

Dara said “No. I’m really single.”

“But why did Dong Wook just react like that?”

“He’s a psycho sometimes.”

“That happens. *smiles* Well nevertheless… that’s okay Dara, you’ll find the right person someday.”

“I hope so…”

“Should we buy a happy meal?”

“Why?”

“Single woman eats happy meal. It’s for the lonely ones. Go with the trend, let’s buy!”

She’s insulting Dara. Haha!

Dara said “Aigoo! I’m not hungry but if I am, buy me a bucket meal!”

Han Byul laughed. She looked at the menus and said “Why do burgers cost too much these days?”

Se7en said “Is this what it feels like being a girl? Really, lately you’re just talking about Han Byul’s drama, how did it reach to burgers now? Ayy~ Girls are too complicated.”

Han Byul and Dara laughed.

Se7en said “I still don’t know the mysterious reason why girls talk about so many topics when they’re under a conversation.”

Han Byul said “Girls are smart! We were able to think of something new in a short amount of time.”

TOP said “Or maybe Han Byul noona and Dara noona just have the same way of thinking since they are both ‘Park’s.” –LOL. (PARK Han Byul and Sandara PARK)

Se7en laughed and said “I object!  Boys are also smart.”

“How can you say so?” -Han Byul.

“Oh come on… just look at me.” –Hahaha!

Dara said “I guess ‘Choi’s have the same way of thinking too.” (CHOI Dong wook(Se7en’s real name) and CHOI Seung Hyun) Both bigheaded? Haha. They all laughed.

 

The afternoon goes on…

Han Byul, Se7en, Dara and TOP are having fun talking to each other, with the dorky TOP and Dara and the witty couple, it’s surely fun.

 

On that sunny afternoon, CL goes out to look for an appliance in a store in replacement to the other one that is already not functioning.

She is walking on the street until a black car stopped on her side. She looked at it and wondered whose car is it. A man looks out from the window and said “CL!”

CL was shocked because it’s Teddy.

She said “Oh! Teddy oppa! Jiyong oppa is looking for you lately.”

“Yeah. He already texted me. Why are you here?”

“I was going to buy something.”

“This daytime?”

“Ne.”

“You know, 2NE1’s leader shouldn’t just be roaming around the street by her self. You want to take a ride?”

“Ahh. Sure!”

She rides Teddy’s car, his one and only crush’s car.

Teddy said when she just seated, “Do you do this often times?”

“Yesterday I was out too, but it just happened to be that I need to buy something on these consecutive days.”

“What I mean is, do you go out alone often?”

“Ah… not often but I go out alone, yes.”

“You should avoid that. Celebrities should be double protected when they go out because insecures are always around public places. You should know what I mean by that.”

“Ne. I will restrain myself from now on.”

“You should. You know how crazy people are always ready to f**k up.” –the car moves already.

CL smiles and said “Yeah. I got it.”

----No one’s talking---- CL feels so different when she’s with Teddy, she doesn’t understand whether she’s nervous or she feels giddy or anything else. It’s all mixed up. Teddy always brings that kind of atmosphere to anyone he’s together with except the guys from YG, particularly GD and Taeyang who are close to him years ago.

“Where are we going?” she said.

“Let’s buy what you need to buy.”

“Oh…Thanks.”

They go to the store of appliances. CL bought a small lamp already. She rides back to the car.

The car moves again…

CL said “Where are we going now?”

“I’m sending you home.”

“Ah…”

“I need to fix some things after. I have to go to many places.”

“I’ll come with you.”

Teddy looked at her as if he was so shocked of what she said. He said “But…”

“It’s okay. I have nothing much to do today. I can come with you.”

“I have many places to go for different businesses to thrash out about.”

“I have no problem with that.”

“Oh… okay. Sure, you said that.”

They ride together after. CL goes with Teddy because he’s her ideal type.

Teddy accepts CL because he’s just being kind to his junior. The whole afternoon until evening, CL accompanied Teddy to places that he went to.

They’re going home now. CL had fun being with him but Teddy is actually focused more on work while she’s with him.

CL said “Producer’s job is hard.”

“Yeah. But receiving bylines makes it pays off a little bit.”

“You’re really cool.”

“Haha. Yeah right.”

“Thanks for the day.”

“No, thank you.”

CL didn’t talk after. Teddy looked on the wind shield and said “What the hell, it’s already dark. Should you go home now?”

“Yeah, I think so.”

Teddy moves closer to CL. CL became nervous of what Teddy is about to do. She thought that Teddy is going to give him a goodbye kiss. Haha!

But then Teddy was just going to click something on the door to her side. She was mistaken.

He said “Oh. , I hit the wrong button.”

He saw CL’s reaction when he moves closer to her so he sits back to his seat, away from her.

The window opened instead of unlocking the door.

(He locked at the door lately because he is leaving CL inside the car whenever he has to go inside a building to go and settle something, so to keep CL safe inside, he did it lately.)

He said “Just unlock the door.”

CL said “Oh…Ne…”

“CL! Bow your head down. There are people outside.”

CL bows down just like what he said but they didn’t know that someone took a picture of them.

Teddy said “I think I shouldn’t bring you down here. I’ll send you home to your dorm.”

“Yeah. That’s better.”

CL clicked the button to close the window and the car moved out of the place.

Teddy sent CL to their dorm and said “Thanks again. Bye.”

“Yeah. Thank you too.”

CL opened the door and goes out. Teddy honks once as a sign for “I’ll go now.”

CL waves her hand and smiled then Teddy leaves her. CL’s smile fades and she said “Phew!”

She entered their dorm already. Everybody was already home. Bom welcomed her.

She said “CL!”

CL said “Hello.”

Dara said “CL-roo! Where did you come from?”

“I came out to buy a lamp for my room.”

“Ooohh…” Dara said.

“But that’s still lately in the afternoon, what? Lamp is that hard to find?” Minzy said. It’s because when Minzy goes home lately, CL was leaving their dorm so they met before CL goes out.

“Ani~ I just go in more places before that.” She goes to her room and tries to getaway from their questions. Dara guessed that CL was hiding something because she usually just walks out when she’s trying to avoid a topic. Bom and Minzy are playing with each other.

Dara thought “Where did she probably come from? Hmmm? CL is suspicious.”

Dara, Bom and Minzy eat their dinner. They call out for CL. CL said she’ll be there for a second but seconds have passed and she still isn’t there. Dara thinks that CL will be skipping dinner.

Minutes later, she goes to CL’s room to check her out.

When she opened the door, CL shouts and said “Andwae!”

Dara turned back as fast as possible then said “You didn’t lock it.”

CL is changing her clothes. She said “Because I was about to go out and eat after this!”

“Ah. Hahaha! Santokki saw it, you can’t do anything to it.”

“Aigoo! Unnie! Why are you entering my room without knocking?”

“Sorry!” She laughs. “Are you done yet?”

“I am now.”

Dara faced her and said “I actually go here to ask you…”

“What are you going to ask?”

“About lately, is there something you’re hiding to us?”

“Ani~ Why?”

“CL-roo! Tell it! Did you go out with someone?”

“No...”

Dara stares at her and waits for her to say it. And so CL said “Yes.”

Dara claps her hand once and said “I knew it! Pwaha! Who is that lucky guy?”

“Teddy oppa.”

“Teddy oppa?! Oh omo! What did you two do?”

“He took me out for a ride and I just go with him wherever he needs to go lately, that’s it.”

“How did it go?”

“You know what unnie… *sits on her bed* Teddy oppa is the cool kind of a guy but he’s always cold to me, I know, he’s normally like that… but sometimes, it makes me feel overly awkward with him.”

Dara sits with her. She said “What’s the problem with that?”

“He’s my long time crush. It’s a shame for me to say this but I’m expecting that he would like me too of course but for the way that he is showing me, he seems not interested.”

“Teddy oppa is way far from you(age)… I mean, he could be your ideal guy but to the point that it’s over to the edge, it’s… not quite possible.”

“Aissh. Unnie, you’re too fortunate to have G-Dragon oppa in your life, the one who is not that far from you.”

“*sigh* Don’t worry… Why don’t you try liking other men?”

“Huh?”

“Seungri-ah, he’s—”

“Ah. Don’t mention him with this topic.”

“Why? You’re always neglecting other men. Maybe you don’t know that the other men around you, look after you more than how you look after to Teddy who is that impossible to reach.”

“If it’s Seungri, we would definitely not make a match.”

“You’ll never know.”

“I’ll just go with the flow, if there’s a sign, then it comes, if there’s the man, then… he’s there.”

“Okay. You’re better off like that. Don’t be too disappointed, okay? Let’s go and I’ll be with you while you eat. Bom and Minzy are done eating.”

She stands up. CL stands up after her too. They are going out of the room. CL said “They already did? Aish. Those two is an appetite beggar!”

Dara laughed. She said “Well I’m not sure to Mingki but Bommie-ah is.”

They laugh while they’re going out of CL’s room. Haha. Girls are there for each other and one example of that is about what just happened. Dara gave a piece of advice to CL to make her feel more at ease. They eat on the kitchen while Dara keeps on telling her different funny experiences between her and GD to CL. CL was entertained to that while she’s eating.

 

That night becomes over, the days that follow consist their different interviews, performances, program offers and talk shows. In short, 2NE1 is on to the spotlight while Big Bang is busy preparing for their long awaited comeback after 2 years or break in Korea.

In one of the talk shows/variety shows that 2NE1 attended to, which is Win Win, there comes a surprise event that her brother, MBLAQ’s Thunder, was there. He was the surprise guest of the show. Dara was so overwhelmed and surprised to that. The show goes on with Thunder which Dara was happy for because he was able to attend a show together with him even if Thunder lied and told her that he was sleeping right at that time. Haha.

It was their first time appearing together on a program. It became livelier when the Park siblings are beside each other, they look like an endearing twin. Behind all of it, here’s one thing that Sanghyun stated in the show when he is asked of what kind of man suits his sister, he didn’t answer the man that he knows. Instead, he answered Won Bin for her.

 

Soon after, Win Win ended. Dara met Thunder waiting for her on the outside. She was touched because he waited for her. She thought she already left the studio just right after he left the show in the nearly end of it. She said “Dog poopie!”

“Ne?” Thunder said.

“You’re still here!”

CL said “About what you said lately, Won Bin-ssi, fits Dara? Are you sure?”

Bom said “Aigoo! CL! Sanghyun might not know it yet!”

“Oh. Omo!” She covers .

Thunder said “That is the safest answer that comes to my mind since I know that Dara noona’s ideal type is Won Bin ahjussi.”

“Safest answer?” Bom asked.

“Ne… Because there is another man that my sister really matches well with.” –Could it be Jiyong? LOL!

Dara smiled and pats his shoulder. She said “Good job dog poopie~”

“What’s up in here?”-CL.

Park siblings remained quiet and decided not to reply onwards.

CL said after, “Okay, I get it, siblings’ business.” then just forget about it. Thunder also approves for GD, nobody is hindering now! Hwaa! Beyond the dark clouds, there’s a one sunny day ahead!

 

Tomorrow comes. GD and Dara met in YG again. They waited until no one is around so that they can talk to each other safely. They see each other in a private place, in the gym! Hahaha! Private? No one is around maybe that’s why it’s private for them.

GD said “Dara. How have you been doing?”

“I’m doing great. Great… how are you, my cute boy? *pinches his cheek*”

“Ah! Ouch. You pinched it hard! *smiles* Now I’m not okay.”

“Sorry. Did I hurt you too much?”

“No, not that much.”

“You’re looking better and better nowadays! Who are you trying to impress uh?”

“Aren’t you impressed yet?” –Aww.  It’s ‘only’ her that he’s trying to impress.

“I am fully impressed! Haha!”

“How about you?”

“I don’t think I impress someone.”

“Why? Because you thought I’m already impressed?” –Hahaha! So he’s not yet?

Dara laughs and said “I took back what I said. I’m half impressed.”

“*laughs* you’re pretty.”

“Now?”

“Ani~ Everyday, And I don’t think I still need to say that. Everybody else noticed it.”

“Ne. Goddess Dara~ *puts her hand in the middle of her eyebrows*”

GD laughed again. “I love you~”

“I love you moreover.”

GD gives Dara a peck on her lips. A cute and fast kiss~ Until the door opened on the gym, PSY, the new member of YG Family a month ago, entered.

 

They’re all frozen. Haha! GD and Dara quickly move away to each other. PSY saw them kissing! Waaa! Haha. GD said “PSY hyung, Why are you… here?”

“I’m just going to work out… It’s okay guys, I won’t say anything about what I saw. I’ll just pretend that I didn’t see anything.” He said as he slowly walks and passes by them. He lied and carried the barbell upwards. GD and Dara are still not talking. They are looking at each other like they mean “What are we going to do now?”

PSY said “Guys, it’s okay! Continue, I won’t look~” –Hahaha!

GD said “No. Thank you.” then grabs Dara on the way out. LOL!

GD felt embarrassed because PSY is not that close to them and he’s the one who even saw it. Haha. GD said “Okay, PSY just caught us two. 7 down. Aigoo! This is mayhem.” -6 down, (Se7en, Seungri, Bom, CL, Taeyang, TOP and PSY)

“It keeps on spreading. What should we do?”

“Let’s try not to see each other here in YG.”

“Yeah. That will be good.”

“There are always interventions whenever we try to see each other after not meeting for a long time. I hate it!”

“Let’s just meet each other when we meet.”

“What do you mean?”

“I mean, let’s just go with the flow, if we ever meet, then that’s it.”

“I can’t do that. Like now, we just saw each other, like that, but let’s try to avoid anything that we’re doing when we’re inside the YG.”

“Okay.”

“Aigoo. My heart is still beating fast. I got nervous lately.”

“Me too! My heartbeat can’t be eased right now.”

“So, let’s just meet each other again?”

“Ye, ye.”

“Okay. Bye bye~”

“Bye!”

 

Hahaha! 7 people know their secret already. Waaaa.

 

Their busy days continue…

 

Out of a blue, in the YG building. CL got a call from YG and asking her to go his office immediately. It came from their boss that’s why she hurried to go to his office.

Inside YG’s office, there was Seungri. She thought “Oh no, please not about me and Seungri!”

But they look serious, CL said “Annyeong.”

Seungri looked at her and stands up. YG said “Let’s just talk about it later Seungri-ah, okay? I have something to discuss with CL.”

“Alright.”

“G-Dragon’s compositions are in me already. I received it yesterday. I want to hear your recordings.” (About Big Bang’s album and his album.)

“Okay hyung.” then he goes out of the room.

CL thought again “If he’s not going to talk about me and… *looks at Seungri who’s going out of the office* …then why did he call me here alone? If it’s about 2NE1, then shouldn’t the other members be here too?”

YG calls her and said “CL, sit here.”

She sits in front of YG’s table. YG looks serious. CL became nervous because whenever he brings up a reaction like that, it’s always a bad news.

She said “Why?”
