The next day....

Minhee was making her way to the entrance of SM building when she noticed Donghae’s car was parked nearby the building. ‘He’s here?’ she smiled at the thought as her eyes sparkled. She missed him so much, and that was the reason she quickened her steps towards the building and entered it, hoping that she would meet him inside.

Waiting in front of the elevator, she got inside it as soon as it slid open. She absentmindedly watched the elevator doors slide close and her eyes widened in an instant when she witnessed a pair of hands suddenly appear in between the almost-closing-door, pushing it open back. She curiously eyed the owner of the hands as the door slowly opened only to see that it was Kyuhyun.

“Oh, annyeonghaseyo” she quickly greeted and bowed at him and once she stood normally back, she ended up looking at him questioningly when he only stood there without stepping into the elevator, staring at her somewhat in shock. Then she noticed the doors started to close back and she immediately pressed the button that would prevent the door from closing. Then she looked at him back and raised an eyebrow when he still didn’t move from his position.

“Uhm...oppa. Are you getting in or not?” she asked.

“Huh?” he looked like he just woke up from a dream and immediately nodded in reply once her question registered in his mind. Minhee hardly couldn’t notice how hesitated he was to bring himself inside the elevator and she wondered about it for a second before she brushed it off.

“Are you going for dance practice, oppa?” she asked, trying to make conversation with the latter. She always thought that she and Kyuhyun were close with each other and she also felt comfortable with him and she thought Kyuhyun felt the same but nope. She was completely wrong. He didn’t.

“Uh...nope. I’m going to the recording studio,” he replied in monotone looking at her for a brief second before quickly looking away and stared down at the closed doors. He had almost forgotten about her and thrown her away from his mind and his heart, but the moment he laid his eyes on her for the first time that day (before he got inside the elevator), he felt the feelings that had just been thrown out of his heart came back and he had mentally cursed himself for that. He didn’t know if it was his fault but seriously, she was just too beautiful. His heart just couldn’t handle it.

"Oh, I'm also heading there" she said. "I'm just back from an individual schedule. The members are waiting for me there" she added without anyone asking.

"Ahh" that was what Kyuhyun only responded, nodding his head lightly while smiling awkwardly at her. In the company, there were a few recording studios. Kyuhyun and F(x) were going to use different recording studios. That means they were going to get off the elevator on the same floor.

“By the way, you're going to the recording studio perhaps for your new solo album?” she asked, her eyes sparkled at the mention of the last few words.

“Neh.” 

“Jinjja? Whoaa! I can’t wait for it!” she clasped her hands excitedly – Her fangirl mode was on. “I’ll make sure to buy your album,” she added, still sounding excited.

Kyuhyun couldn’t help but chuckle at the last statement. He just remembered that she was his fan. “Gomawo,” he found himself saying that, shyly. 

And soon after that, the elevator slid open as they both got out of it together and headed to their destination. 

As they were walking through the hallway, Kyuhyun happened to walk a little bit ahead of Minhee. But then Kyuhyun suddenly stopped in his tracks when he found the sight on the left side of him was something that he didn’t expect to see at all.

Kyuhyun’s abrupt stop made Minhee who walked behind him almost bumped into his back. Stepping a step backwards, she looked at him questioningly when she found Kyuhyun looking at something on his left side which a wall blocked her view from looking in the same direction as he did (since she stood behind him). Curious, she walked and stood beside him, poking him on the arm.

“Oppa, are you okay?” she asked in concern then followed his gaze’s direction but then ended up having her eyes widened in shock, shocked at what she was seeing.

Kyuhyun flinched upon hearing her voice and panic instantly built inside his chest when he realized who he was with at that moment. With that, he quickly turned to look at her and he supposed he was too late when he saw her seemingly shocked eyes already glistening with tears. He then quickly pulled her behind the wall to prevent her from seeing what she just saw any longer. Or else, she would get more hurt.

"D-Donghae oppa..." Minhee silently muttered as she was in a daze, too shocked with what she had just seen.  A bit far away from where her and Kyuhyun stood, she had just witnessed something she had never expected she would see.

Donghae and Yoona were kissing.

At the moment, she felt her heart break into millions of pieces. The throbbing pain that she felt right then was as if it was stabbed with a knife over and over. Only God knows how painful it was. Her knees weakened each second but instead of letting her knees fall on the floor, she’d rather go away from there, away from the heartbreaking scene she just saw. "Minhee ah..." Kyuhyun called her, almost in a whisper, as he chased after her.

However, he was too late.
Because she already got inside the elevator and the elevator had closed right before he entered it.

He ran his hand through his hair as he heaved a deep sigh. The shocking sight that he had witnessed earlier invaded his mind. He couldn't believe it. He couldn't believe what he had seen. Donghae was cheating behind Minhee? Seriously? But, Donghae loved Minhee so much. And he was pretty sure Donghae loved Minhee more than he did. He knew that so well. And he knew Donghae was a nice guy and was too innocent to do such a thing, especially to Minhee. And he was pretty sure Donghae had forgotten about his ex, Yoona, since a long time ago.

But what he had seen earlier...it was difficult to not believe it. But it was difficult to believe it either. He was confused. He didn't know whether he wanted to believe Donghae or his eyes which just witnessed the hot session between Donghae and Yoona earlier. Remembering back a pained expression that plastered on Minhee’s face earlier, it broke his heart. If only he could block her from seeing the kissing couple earlier, maybe she wouldn't feel this hurt. And he couldn't help but blame himself for that.

Soon after Minhee hopped into her car, tears that had been threatening to fall, finally escaped her eyes, uncontrollably.  In a glance, it seemed like a fountain coming out from her eyes. And her tears streamed out harder when memories between her and him together rushed through her mind.

Have these been all lies? Him saying ‘I love you’ to me all this time was just a lie?

The ‘lie’ word made her world crumbling down in front of her eyes.

"How could you do this to me? How could you…" she said in between sobs as she leaned her forehead on the steering wheel and cried all her tears out, her sobs filled the car.

So, this is what love is? Love is this hurt? Why did nobody tell me about this before? If I know love would be this hurt, I won't believe in love, I won't open my heart for love!

Indeed, love doesn't exist for me, never exists for me. Forever.

It was already night. The fellow F(x) had just come back from recording their new song without Minhee, thinking Minhee wasn’t feeling well like what Kyuhyun had informed them when they were in the middle of recording a songearlier. Kyuhyun didn’t tell them the actual reason that made Minhee couldn’t join them because he didn’t want to make them worry.

As they were heading to their own rooms, suddenly they heard the sound of sobs coming from Minhee's room. They all exchanged looks among themselves with a puzzled and worried look on their faces. They knew Minhee wasn’t feeling well yet they didn’t
