"Shall we?" Donghae sheepishly offered Minhee his hand.

Minhee smiled and took his offered hand. "Sure."

Both of them then stood up from their seats while the other guests applauded for them. They then walked to the dance floor, hand in hand, with a shy smile plastering on their face. 

Yoona frowned as she eyed Minhee and Donghae walking to the dance floor. She was sitting at the table with the other SNSD's members.

'! Why the hell did everyone chant their name!' she thought in frustration while clenching her teeth in annoyance.

While Yoona was watching both MinHae jealously, the other SNSD's members looked at her with the corner of their eyes. After that, one by one compliments about Minhee and Donghae were heard from them, in purpose to annoy Yoona more. And fortunately, they succeeded once Yoona almost yell "Shut up" to them. But they weren't even taken back (because they had expected it), instead they were trying hard to hold back their laughter as they didn't want the party to be ruined because of Yoona's wrath.

Kyuhyun eyed both Minhee and Donghae walking to the dance floor expressionlessly. Although his face was expressionless,  Kyuline's members knew his heart was the opposite of it. They shot him an apologetic look as Changmin patted his shoulder to calm him down.

"Don't look at them, Kyuhyun ah. Your heart will hurt even more," Changmin said to Kyuhyun as his hand was still on Kyuhyun's shoulder.

Kyuhyun looked away from looking at MinHae as he gulped down the wine in the glass he held in one shot.

"Are you sure we're going to dance like that?" Minhee said uneasily as her eyes landed on Seohyun and Yonghwa who were slowly swaying side to side while staring into each other's eyes, next to both of them. Seeing Seohyun's hand on Yonghwa's shoulder while her other hand in Yonghwa's and Yonghwa's other hand was placed on Seohyun's waist, made Minhee swallow hard without her realizing it. Just by imagining she was Seohyun and Yonghwa was Donghae was enough to make her blush madly.

"Let's just try it," Donghae replied as he softly took one of Minhee's hands in his and held it up at about shoulder-level of his. He then reached Minhee's other hand and put it on his shoulder. After that, he lightly placed his hand on her waist, making both of them crack a shy chuckle and blushed.

"Are you ready?" Donghae asked.

"Neh," Minhee nervously replied.

With that, Donghae started leading her to dance swaying back and forth as they moved in a circle. While dancing, they stared into each other's eyes with a shy smile plastering on their lips.

“You’re so beautiful,” he voiced.

“I know,” she chuckled. How her eyes curved into crescent moon-like shape as she laughed made his eyes turn into love-shaped as he looked adoringly at her eyes.

He kept staring into her eyes, admiring her beauty from up close. Meanwhile Minhee stared back at him, a glint of pink plastering on her cheeks at his intent stare. She couldn’t deny that her heart fluttered at how he looked so handsome tonight, especially when seeing him this close.

“Do you have a boyfriend?” he asked quietly.

“I told you I don’t,” she replied almost immediately.

“Then...perhaps...do you wanna be....my girlfriend?”

Changmin couldn’t help but notice how Kyuhyun sometimes sneaked glances at the dancing MinHae on the dance floor. He felt apologetic for him, especially when he saw how Kyuhyun looked gloomy even though he tried to hide it from them by pretending to laugh at their jokes. Even the conversation among them seemed bland, unlike usual. With that, he tried to think of something to cheer his friend.

"Guys, let’s dance," Changmin said all of a sudden as he grinned to the three of them.

"What? Dance?" The three of them shrieked in chorus, looking at him as if he was nuts.

"Yes. Dance. I never heard that only a boy and a girl can dance a slow dance together. Let's have fun tonight!" Changmin said excitedly.

"But..." they hesitated.

"Come on!" Changmin pulled Kyuhyun's and Minho's hand as he headed to the dance floor while Minho pulled Jonghyun along with them.

"Wait...not me," Kyuhyun said as he pulled his hand away from Changmin's grip. Changmin and the others stopped in their tracks and looked at Kyuhyun to see he was looking at MinHae who were dancing romantically on the dance floor.

"If I'm not mistaken, you want to forget her, right?" Changmin asked. "Then, this is the right time to forget her. Well, at least just for a while," he convinced.

Kyuhyun only stayed silent in response. Before he knew it, Changmin pulled his hand along with Minho and Jonghyun to the dance floor. He sighed as he forcefully followed Changmin's steps to the dance floor.

“Then...perhaps...do you wanna be....my girlfriend?”

Donghae’s last two words were barely heard when laughter from the guests suddenly filled the atmosphere. Bewildered, he turned his head towards two eye-catching couples that just joined them dancing and couldn’t help but explode into laughter together with Minhee.

“Aren’t they Changmin oppa and Kyuhyun oppa?” Minhee pointed at the dancing same-gender couple in amusement before she continued to laugh.

“I know, right?” Donghae replied. “Oh, there are Minho and Jonghyun too,” he added while laughing.

As they were laughing, that was when Donghae remembered what he just said to Minhee earlier.
