Donghae, who was free from schedules today, was lazing on his bed. While laying, he couldn’t help but smile like a fool and it seemed like he couldn’t stop himself from smiling any minutes by now. He didn’t know why but that main dancer of F(x), Minhee, kept on appearing in his mind which was the cause of him becoming the smiling monster that day.

All that started when he, Eunhyuk, Kara’s Gyuri and Minhee were set to be in the same group when they were filming some show. The show was a game show where eight idols were divided by two to form two groups and the groups would compete with each other by playing the games set in the show. The other groups had 2PM’s Nichkhun, Beast’s Junhyung, After school’s Nana and Girls’ Day Yura as its members.

Throughout filming the show, Donghae found himself always stealing glances at Minhee who was in the same group with him. He couldn’t help it. She was so beautiful, especially that day. It was not that he just realized her beauty that day. He had realized it since a long time ago, ever since he first met her when she was still a trainee. And he somehow knew he had a little crush on her back then. But maybe because he had been so deeply in love with his ex at that time, he had brushed off all the feelings he felt towards her and continued loving his ex wholeheartedly.

However, his love for that used-to-be-lucky girl was useless after he found out that she was cheating behind his back. It took him for a while to heal his heart. And now that his heart had healed after years, he wanted to start a new life. And his new life began when he had a new love life.

He guessed his little crush for Minhee back then had turned out to be a big crush now when he felt butterflies in his stomach when she stood next to him. Butterflies in his stomach went crazy when their shoulders and arms sometimes touched even though it was such a brief touch. When they were playing games, he couldn’t help but always stand by her side, taking care of her and making sure that she wouldn’t get injured while playing the games.

There was one time when one of the games needed only two people to play the game. And he couldn’t be happier when Eunhyuk decided to send him and Minhee off to play the game together. How their hands joined each other before they started playing the game, more skinship occurred when the game needed him to help her up or carry her and when they high-fived each other after both of them succeeded or their group succeeded. It made Donghae’s stomach twisted without any particular reason.

He guessed he had fallen in love.

When the show almost ended, the two mcs stood between girls and boys which practically made Donghae able look at her, who stood opposite of him. He couldn’t help himself from staring at her, especially when she was wearing a beautiful knee-level pink dress, making her look stunning as ever. The other girls also were wearing beautiful dresses while the boys were wearing suits.

It seemed like he never focused on what the mcs were babbling about but on her. Mostly, she was oblivious that his gaze always fixed on her, but when she darted her gaze to him (maybe because she felt someone staring at her from his direction), Donghae quickly darted his gaze to somewhere else, didn’t want her to think that he was creepy for continuously staring at her. The same thing had happened for a few times until what the mcs had said had caught his attention.

FLASHBACK

“The show has come to an end but before that, I wanna make sure; did you guys have fun today?” Yoo Jaesuk, one of the mcs, asked the guests.

“Neh!” The idols responded.

“Good. If you realized something; the boys and girls for today are the same in amount, right?” MC Jaesuk said, then continued, “Actually, there is a reason behind it. There is a special segment for you guys before this show ends.”

“What is it?” The idols asked almost in unison, curious.

“This special segment called ‘My Soulmate’” Misun, the other MC, informed.

“Ahhhhhhh~!” The boys became excited while the girls smiled shyly, somehow knowing what they were going to do after this.

The emcees chuckled before MC Misun added, “Each of you will choose a partner. But there are some rules. One must tell us the person they like and that chosen person would decide if he/she wanted to accept the other or not. If the answer is yes, say ‘Sure’. If the answer is no, say ‘No thanks’. Understand?”

“Neh!” They all replied excitedly.

At the moment, Donghae’s only target girl was Minhee.

“So, can we start from Nichkhun sshi?” MC Jaesuk asked.

Nichkhun only smiled in reply as his gaze started looking at each of the girls across him, searching for the one he was interested in. All eyes were on him and the girls nervously waited for who would be chosen by the Prince Thai; including Donghae as he hoped Nichkhun wouldn’t choose Minhee. If he did choose her, there was a big possibility that Minhee would accept him. And that was the last thing Donghae wanted it to happen.

“Nana sshi,” Nichkhun said eventually and the others started cheering while Nana looked at him in disbelief before she smiled sheepishly. Donghae, on the other hand, quietly letting a sigh of relief. "Would you like to be my princess for today, Nana sshi?" Nichkhun asked, flashing her a charming smile ever. Everyone cooed at the proposal-like scene.

“So Nana sshi. What’s your answer?” MC Misun asked.

Nana chuckled shyly before she spoke, “Uhh… jusonghamnida, but…no, thanks” Her answer got everyone to look at her in disbelief and there were some of them complaining on how she rejected a man as handsome as Nichkhun. Nichkhun on the other hand was smiling bitterly while Nana only laughed at their complaints.

“Actually, there’s someone I'm attracted to,” Nana confessed bashfully.

“Who is it?” They all asked curiously.

Smiling sheepishly, she replied, “Donghae oppa.” Her answer got everyone to have their eyes on Donghae now, who was shocked after his name was mentioned.

“Oh, Donghae!” MC Jaesuk exclaimed, clapping his hands.

"Would you like to be my prince charming, Donghae oppa?" Nana asked shyly, fiddling with her fingers.
