54 I Need A Girl
So Sweet, So Simple
[Gikwang's POV]
"Sora ah," I walk faster. "Wait."
I grab her hand so she stops walking. She stormed out from Mina's house, wandering on the road without talking to me.
"Sorry," she murmurs.
"What for?" I ask her, still holding her hand. She doesn't change her expresionless face but somehow I know she is hurting inside.
"I should have know her intention," Sora sighs. "I should have take the pictures before I left."
"I don't think she will do anything with the pictures," I step closer to her. "Now please stop walking without destination like this. I promised Yoseob that I will take you home as soon as possible."
"Why do you think she won't do anything?" she frowns. "She is really mad at me."
"I just know," I pat her head. "We'll deal with her later."
She doesn't move; she keeps staring at the ground without saying anything. What can I do for her?
An idea crosses my mind. I look around the area. There's should be somewhere around here somehow; I know this area. I look at a sign and I know that I find what I'm looking for.
"Come on," I hold her hand and lead her away.
[Sora's POV]
Now that I've left Mina's house, I feel really guilty. I shouldn't have slapped her. I shouldn't have said those things to her. I know what she feels. I should have understood her better than this.
I don't focus at where I'm walking but when my sense returns, I look around. Where is Gikwang taking me to?
He is holding my hand, walking with me to a place he only knows.
After a while, I can see a lake. There are some children playing around the lake. It is a beautiful lake; come to think of it, Mina's house is not in the middle of the city. Even the air is really fresh here because of the trees.
He finally stops when we reach the edge of the lake. He lets go of my hand and looks at me, "I shouldn't bring you here but, let's just don't tell Yoseob, okay?"
I tilt my head. What is he trying to do?
"Let's refresh our head before returning back to the apartment," Gikwang grins. "I'm sure the other members don't want to see you gloomy like this."
I don't answer him. I look at the clear water of the lake, wondering about what I should do about Mina. My mother will be really mad at me when she finds out about what happened.
Gikwang looks at his left and his right, as if he's checking people around. But there are only two children left now; their parents are taking them back home now because of the cloudy sky. Looks like it will be raining soon.
"You know that dance I did with Juri Noona?" he asks me suddenly.
"I Need A Girl?" I frown. I watched that dance performance because Hyunseung told me to watch it. I remember that I even needed to hold my laughter so hard because it was kind of amusing and interesting.
He smiles wider when I mention the song title.
He takes three steps backward and then speaks the opening lyrics of the song,
"I'm tired of being alone
Sick of being single
I think I need a girl
I need a girl like"
Gikwang steps closer to me and touches my cheek gently, my hair along with the song,
"Saenggak eobneun maltu
Eorin aedeul malgu nal gamssa anajul, yeah
Shimshim halddae gakkeum
Noneun yeoja malgu naman saranghaejul"
One that speaks without thinking
Not a little child, but one that will embrace me
Not a girl that plays around sometimes when she's bored
But one that will only love me
He walks around me, spinning his body once in a while but keeps singing the song while I start to blush because of his sudden dance,
"Gaman isseodo namja nomdeul jeonhwagil naemiljiman
Jarangseureobge nae sajineul kkeonae boineun geureon, girl"
Even if she stays still and guys hand her their phones
That kind of girl that will proudly take out and show my picture
[Gikwang's POV]
At first, I just wanted to show her the beautiful lake, hoping she would feel better after that.
I don't know how to cheer her up when suddenly this song crossed my mind; I remember she almost laughed when she watched my performance with Juri Noona.
I'm confident enough with my dance skill, so I hope she will be amused by my dance.
I dance the refrain part; it should be the part where I have a partner to dance with but I ignore the fact that Sora won't be my dance partner,
"Girl, I need a girl
Mweol haedo ippeun mommaedo ippeun
Girl, I need a girl, baby I need you
Girl, you need me, too"
Girl, I need a girl
Pretty no matter what she does, A pretty body, too
Girl, I need a girl, Baby, I need you
Girl, you need me, too
I keep smiling with the song even though there is no music to accompany me, even though I look really weird, dancing all by myself like now,
"Chimaboda cheongbajiga deo jal eo-ullineun geureon yeoja
Gimchi bokkeumbabeun naega jal mandeureo
Daeshin jal meogeul su itneun yeoja
Uh naiga manhado eoryeo boineun yeoja
Nan geureon yeojaga johdeora know what I mean"
A kind of girl that looks better in jeans than a skirt
A girl that will eat the kimchi fried rice that I make instead
A girl who looks young even though she's old
I like that kind of girl
(Know what I mean)
I sing the next verse from behind her, singing the lyrics next to her ear with my hands holding her shoulders,
"Bukkeureo-un cheog hamyeonseodo dangdol hal jul aneun girl
Pyeongso-en joshinhancheokhaedo gatchi isseumyeon
You know what I'm talking about"
A girl that acts shy, but knows how to be bold
Always pretends to careful of her behavior
But when you're with her
Hmm, y'all know what I'm talking about
I dance the refrain part again; she turns around to look at me. Like what I've thought, Sora is blushing now. Well, actually my heart is beating really fast now but I try to control my expression, trying to be professional,
"Girl, I need a girl
Wweol haedo ippeun mommaedo ippeun
Girl, I need a girl
Ireon yeojaga johdeora la la la"
Girl, I need a girl
Pretty no matter what she does, a pretty body, too
Girl, I need a girl
I like this kind of girl
I song this randomly, actually, just to make her cheerful with the dance but I end up enjoying the song as well because of the lyrics; if only I can tell her how much I need her.
Ah, the rap part. I can't do this even though I remember the lyrics. I end up sound like mumbling for this part,
"Wemoneun not an issue but
Meoseul aneun gwiyeo-un girl
Chwimineun dallado chwihyangeun gata
Yeonghwana eumageul bol ddaemyeon mari tonghaneun girl (yes)
I love girls, girls I do adore
Saramdeul apeseon jijo itge nora
Nae apeseon 'aing nan molla'
Achime nal kkae-uneun mogsori morning kiss
Harureul shijakhago shipeo (I want it all)
Bameneun nae mureupe gidae
Jajanggareul deureumyeo ne kkum kkugo shipeo"
Looks are not an issue
But a cute girl who knows style
Even though our hobbies are different
Our tastes are the same
A girl that I can relate to a lot
When we watch movies or listen to music
(Yes!) I love girls, girls I do adore
In front of people, she has principles as she plays
In front of me, she's like 'Aing, I don't know'
A voice that wakes me up in the morning
(Morning Kiss) I want to start the day
I'll learn on your knees at night
As I listen to a lullaby
I want to dream of you
[Sora's POV]
I need to hold my laugh really hard when I hear his rap; I don't get his words. He even stops the move because he tries to concentrate on the rapping.
When he's done with the rap part, he looks at me again and smiles when he notices that I'm smiling.
He steps closer to me and holds my hand,
"Dashi nae gaseumeul ddwige haejweo
Dashi dalkkomhan norael mandeulge haejweo
You know donina mweo danji geureonge anya
Nae mameul jugo shipeun saram
Make my heart race again
Make me able to create sweet songs again
You know don't need no more
It's just not like that
You're the person I want to give my heart to
Wait, wait, I know the next part of this dance. It's the part where the dance partner will put her arms on the singer's neck. After that... the girl will kiss his cheek. It's the most hilarious part of Jung Juri's I Need A Boy dance.
Gikwang pulls me closer by his hand,
"Girl, I need a girl yeah, yeah
Girl like you, gotta make you mine
I'mma treat you right, baby"
He doesn't put my arms around his neck; instead he intertwines his fingers with mine and he makes a quick move by kissing my left cheek in a second.
I can see he is blushing but he keeps continuing the dance,
"Girl, I need a girl
Mweol haedo ippeun mommaedo ippeun
Girl, I need a girl, baby I need you
Girl, you need me too
Girl, I need a girl
Pretty no matter what she does
A pretty body, too
Girl, I need a girl, Baby, I need you
Girl, you need me too
He turns to me and hold of my hand, making me spin around one time slowly and sings the last part of the song,
"Girl, I need a girl, yeah
Girl, I need a girl, yeah
Girl, nae mareul deudgo itni
Baby I need you, girl you need me, too"
Girl, I need a girl, yeah
Girl, I need a girl, yeah
Girl, are you listening to me?
Baby, I need you, Girl, you need me too
He lets go of my hands; his cheeks are still blushing though. I don't know how much my heart can beat faster than now.
Gikwang leans closer and whispers to my ear,
"Girl, I need a girl"
He looks at me at the eyes and I can't look away from him.
He leans really close to me; his face is only an inch away from mine.
Suddenly there is a single waterdrop falls on my cheek. We look up to the sky.
It starts raining.
He looks at me at the eyes and I can't look away from him.
