22 | Starting Over

Breathless, eyes are on fire while fists are clench and wings are wagging gently behind, Yoona surprised Yuri and Taeyeon when she appeared between their fights. 

"You killed her. And I won't forgive you for that." Yoona muttered. She advances and Yuri blocks her incoming punch. She tried to kick her but she avoided that instant. But as she hit her again, she got her and throw her a little away.

Taeyeon wanted to help the doe-eyed but the latter is fast to follow the dark angel. She decided to watch the fight close, doesn't want her to lose control and end up hurting. But the more she watched, the more she's getting worried because Yuri is hitting her more and she looks like she's losing her strength each second passes. 

"Yoona!" Without the knowledge of her junior, she advances but Yoona caught Yuri from behind that stopped her. "What are you doing?"

"Open the blackhole, Sunbae!" Yoona shouted holding Yuri in place as the latter is struggling.

"What?! No! You're not going to make it!" Taeyeon understands what she meant but finds it dangerous to do.

"This is what we plan for! Do it!" Yoona shouted on top of her lungs.

"NOOOOO!!!" Yuri shouted as well, doing her best to let go from the young angel behind her. She's strong, unexpectedly for her. Despite those hits on her face and chest, it didn't slow her down. She keeps trying for the next couple of minutes until she realizes they're ascending to the black hole.

"Take care of Seohyun for me, Sunbae." Said Yoona as her tears are leaving her eyes.

Taeyeon shakes her head as she tries to follow them but Yoona shakes her head too.

"Tell her how much I love her." Yoona said for the last time before the blackhole took them.

"ANDWAEEEEE!!!!" Shouted Taeyeon trying to follow them but the black hole disappeared before she could even reach them. "Yoona." She called out breathless, tears still keep streaming. "You did a good job dongseng." She added and she didn't waste her time, she flew to the island where Seohyun is apparently lying down. She hastily check her back and took the knife just before it could consume her.

Taking a deep breath, she put her two palms on Seohyun's chest and concentrate. Lights showing to her palms as she tries to revive her. But since it had been moments ago, it's hard for her. Her nose started to show blood dripping. "Come on Seo Joohyun, come back to me. Come back to us begs."

Suddenly the wind blows too hard creating a tornado, circling them around.

"Don't give up Taeyeon!" Jessica's voice was heard from above. The young angel was able to escape the mansion with the help of another angel.

"YAAAAAAHHHH!!!" Taeyeon screamed at top of her lungs.

The lights got even brighter as Seohyun floats and the tornado disappeared slowly. Seohyun's eyes slowly fluttered open and the latter is confused yet she felt happy inside. Before she knows it, she lost her consciousness, and Taeyeon catch her before she reached the bottom.

"You're safe now." She smiled in relief.

Jessica reached them and give her a thumbs up.

"Yoona, I don't think we will ever see her again." Taeyeon whimpers as she cries, hanging her head low. She blames herself for not saving her before the hope will eat them.

"Yoona did her mission complete, Taeyeon. We should be proud of her. I know she's happier wherever she is right now." Jessica softly said, flashing a genuine smile as she gently held Taeyeon's face and wipe those tears away. "Everything will be better now from now on." She assures.

Taeyeon nodded her head slowly. "Gonna miss her."

3 months later....
 

"Omma pali!" Seohyun's voice echoed from upstairs causing Mrs. Seo to fasten preparing the lunch boxes for her daughter. Once she's done, she handed it to her.

"See you later." Seohyun said as she give a brief hug to her mother. She then turned and leaves the house.

Mrs. Seo smiled and returned to the kitchen to fix the table but she stops midway when her eyes landed on the empty plate she mistakenly place earlier. Her daughter asks her about the extra plate that she could only answer as a mistake when it's Yoona in her mind. It's been three months since the fight ended and three months since her daughter doesn't have any idea what happened in the past months. Her memories with Yoona were erased by the diety and the last memory she knew was working in the convenience store with Sooyoung. Her memories with the angel has completely erased.

"I miss you Yoona." Mrs. Seo said with a sigh. She's thankful for her sacrifice but she can't agree with the diety for erasing everything to her daughter. It was just unfair. She just hopes she's out there.

Meanwhile, Seohyun who is on the bus enjoys herself with a song for winter. She doesn't know but she felt relaxed listening to it despite being such a sad song.

She's alone in her seat that she can freely sing the song out loud. But most of the passengers are staring at her that she began to feel shy in the midst of the song.

After a while, she reached the bus stop in their school and walked out casually with the rest of the passengers. There are students walking on the side of the road and she follows them as she continues to listen to her song. It was like any other day but she's more than relaxed because there are no more exams.

"Seohyun-ah!" 
 

Sooyoung called her behind causing her to stop in her tracks and wave her hand enthusiastically when she saw her. The taller girl jogs towards her and puts her arm on her shoulders, bringing her close as they continue their path to school.

"Are you excited for today?" Ask Sooyoung, smiling teasingly.

"What for?" Seohyun pretended not to know.

"Yah! Today is our last rehearsal. You can't be playing around." Sooyoung ruffles her friend's hair and earned a chuckle.

"Why would I be excited though?" Seohyun asks innocently.

"Heard they will finally allow the kiss scene." Sooyoung shared wiggling her eyebrows. Jungkook her best friend as the prince is someone she is excited to see in their rehearsal. She knows he has a crush on her and she wanted to see his face when she does the scene with her.

Seohyun's eyes slightly widened and her cheeks turned rosy. "I... am not excited with that." She denied. It got her anxious out of a sudden, as she only see Jungkook as a friend. It's going to be awkward for her after learning his feelings.

"Your face tells me. Anyway, let's run before the gate closes." Sooyoung realized the time. She didn't wait for a reaction from her friend as she sprinted immediately.

"Yah! Wait for me, Sooyoung-ah!!!!" Seohyun was surprised but she automatically followed her.

While their teacher is discussing, Seohyun can be seen not paying attention. She's drawing an angel which she just randomly thought.

When she's done, she put the paper on the window and smiles genuinely. She then finds herself looking at it for the next couple of minutes. A sudden wind blows inside and the paper drops on the floor. At that moment, her attention shifted to the outside, and find the clouds are forming into an angel. She looked down at her drawing and the cloud's formation, she feels chills down her spine when she realized it's the same, a female angel.

'Why do I feel like an angel is watching me?' She thought at the back of her head. 'What am I thinking?' She chuckled softly to herself as she finds it absurd.

"Yah, Seohyun-ah!" Jungkook called her in a half-whisper from behind.

"Wae?" Seohyun raised her eyebrows as she looked back.

"I'm excited for later." Jungkook giggles.

"Rehearsal?" Seohyun could tell.

"What else?" Jungkook smiled goofily.

"Yeah, it's indeed our last rehearsal before the final curtain." Seohyun could only smile awkwardly. If only she has the same feeling as him, she wouldn't feel bad at the moment.

After talking with her classmates, she finally put her books in her locker and checks her time. She has plenty of hours to spend before the rehearsal, so she decided to get her camera and happily skips her way to the stairs. She rarely takes pictures now because of their exams left and right. It's her chance to enjoy the scenery of their school, especially since Autumn is almost ending. 

Once she reached the rooftop, she immediately took her spot near the railings and look around first, smiling like a fool. The wind suddenly blows that causing her hair to move violently. But instead of being bothered, she close her eyes and looked up to the sky, enjoying the air that's gracing her skin, which almost feels like she's being lifted to float. It ended in no time that her attention re the school ground. She finds students chitchatting, walking, and playing in their park.

Her fingers just started clicking automatically to capture not bad students but those smiles from them she can't resist. Her smile on her face never fades as she keeps clicking and enjoying their moments as if she's also with them.

Suddenly her phone beeps from the pocket of her school jacket, she was distracted and casually took it out and find her mother's contact id is flashing on the screen.

"Omma." She answered in surprise.

[School is done, right?]

"Yes. But I'm waiting for the rehearsal. Will be home around seven." 

[Your last rehearsal?]

"Yes. You're outside?"

[Yes. I thought I'm going to fetch you.]

"That would be great if you can wait for our rehearsal to be done." Seohyun giggles. It's been a while since the last time her mom pick her up from school.

[I would love to. But how long should I wait?]

Checking the time, Seohyun sighs. "Still a long way. Would you like to wait inside?" But she eventually suggested in excitement.

[Was there a cafe in your school?]

"What?" Seohyun chuckles. "You don't know we have that here?"

[Did I ever go around your school?] Mrs. Seo asks as a matter of fact.

"Oh yeah. Let's meet at our library. I'm pretty sure you know where is that."

[Yup.]

"Okay. Meet you in a while." Seohyun didn't think twice and she ended the call, running to the door and immediately running downstairs. It only took her fifteen-minute when she reached there and her mother arrived in a minute. "Don't you have work left in the office?" she ask her as she pulled the chair for her.

"I took half day." Mrs. Seo explained. "What do you want to order?"

"The usual, frappe." Seohyun answered with a big grin.

Mrs. Seo shakes her head, expecting it already. She stood up and went up to the counter. 

Seohyun smiles goofily while waiting for her mom to return. She really didn't expect to have her mom at the end of the day. It was like a dream but she's living with it. How she wishes she will always do this. 

Mrs. Seo returned with theit drinks.

"Thanks Omma." She said taking her orde
