If you wonder what the difference is...malay lyrics ver is more about fitting in the lines while keeping the meaning intact. Some parts will be the same, while some adapted to fit the line without changing the essence of the original lyrics, so it can be sung as lyrics. So it's like translation, but it's NOT translation. I just like doing this thing. Wouldn't it be cool if one day one of the singers i did these lyrics for will sing this malay version if they come do a show here? haa, hey, one can dream. For those not Malay speaker but curious, here's the direct-ish English translation of my lyrics, you'll see the difference with the original lyrics. And please check the link for further information and comparison with original lyrics: Original Title is No Air, but in malay version it became 'Sesak' which translates as 'Congested/Difficulty'...but since i used 'Sesak Nafas' in the lyrics, it translates to 'difficulty to breathe'/suffocated (**10/04/2021 edit: i changed it to Lemas, which translates to 'suffocated/drowning, for reasoning, please check the words in blue in paragraphs below). also, to check the comparison with the original lyrics translation. also, to know which member made me feel major attacked while preparing this video -_-/// Also, did you noticed, the very last line i changed a word in the chorus to tie up the whole song together? ;) For direct translation of this malay lyrics:

Idk how many days i worked on this one...i'm drained n i suffered to really made it happen idek why i bothered making so much effort lol. i'm shameful to say this...or rather, shameless?...but...i think i'm in love with my own lyrics adaptation skills haha....slaps self. The Boyz songs aren't easy to adapt to malay...since a lot of the title songs use either monosyllable key words like in 'boy' 'd.d.d', or just thing that idk how to translate to malay like 'giddy up'...'bloom bloom pow'....or just the whole 'reveal' lyrics...haa(though the fact that i manage to translate vav's thrilla killa...)....i thought 'no air' was my best bet for title song to translate/adapt to malay n here it is...

i did some major-ish changes in the chorus part.

it's supposed to be 'My eyes, my breath, my heart wants you'....which directly can be translated as 'Di mata, nafas, hati/jantung mahukan kau/mu' and that'd fit for a pop song lyrics...like who cares rhyming....but....i do. i feel like using 'damba' sounds a lil too poetic/romantic. but hey, it actually means 'want something so badly' so it fits, and best part, it rhymes better. i love my rhymes. Also, i use 'rongga' which translates as 'cavity/hole/hollow space' to replace 'breath/nafas'...and i use 'dada' which translates to 'chest' to replace 'heart' because physically, i feel that rongga and dada are components needed for breathing. they're less cliche than other words i can use, they rhyme too. and rongga dada as a phrase can also be a term for breathing process/location/parts. totally nerd move, don't even tell me.

I used 'Sesak Nafas' in place of 'No Air, No Air', Sesak nafas translates as difficult to breathe, or suffocated. ((10/04/2021**EDITed: I decided to change from using 'sesak' to Lemas after watchign their No Air stage on Kingdom...i guess then it clicked that maybe the no air was referring to drowning which i hadn't think before and Lemas fits in perfectly. the word means suffocating/having difficulty to breathe because of drowning.)) Actually when i look at the original lyrics...a lot of things were connected by implication, but i tried to make the whole thing more cohesive and understandable as a story, while keeping close to the original lines. and to tie everything nicely, i changed the last line, rather than just repeating same lyrics as chorus, i explained that 'kau udara' meaning, 'you're air'....which explains why they're suffocating in the extended chorus part 'sesak nafas'...because the person they're singing the song to, is not with them, and that person is like air to them, so that's why they're in the state of 'no air'.

i like the irony in my newly edited lyrics, that they refer to the person they're singing for as the ocean they're drowning in, but they're also referring that person as the air to save them from drowning....i love this kinda juxtaposition that almost makes no sense but at the same time kinda make sense.

My fav translated parts, as always, turn out to be the rap parts....that's weird since i'm not even a big fan of raps...but...i feel like i always made the best adaptation for rap parts...i especially love Hwall's part where i put 'ku tenggelam, kau lautnya'...which translates to 'i'm submerged/drowned, and you're the ocean'...rather than just saying 'it's only you in my head'... it's an alternative way to interpret the original lyrics in a more catchy yet poetic/cheesy way, while carrying same meaning...also, Eric's part...but i think i did well with Sunwoo's part too....in short....i just am a fan of my own rap writing haa....ok, enough self praise.

and because i used footage from their music show stages for the video....i had to watch them closely in all videos to choose best footage for each member, each line....and as a conclusion of having watched them too closely too much for No Air...i'm left feeling very much attacked by Q. lol.(and New too to a milder extent) the thing is...other members gave cool expressions while Q would always smile so brightly...usually, bright smiles=cute, but somehow, he looked the coolest for this song's stages to me...like how...i end up just wanting to see him for this song's stages...bcuz his smiles actually made him look the coolest. and no, he's not my bias or anything. speaking of smile, i think Younghoon should smile more on stage too, i feel like he looks cooler with smile than serious face too as can be seen from one of the footage of him i used here, i mean...he's already full of fluffiness cuteness n it suits him better than the usual kpop visuals' style that tends to act cool on stage, i feel like he's the most aegyo member lol. as for New, i think it's the extended effect of his gen Z individual video/interview where i think his cool and mature way of thinking affected me the most in the best way out of all members n eversince then i feel like whenever i watch them i'm regarding him from some kind of a prettily tinted glass or sth, had major fangirling moments at every single thing he said on the interview n that's embarrassing lmao...and again no he's not my bias or anything...meanwhile, Eric always tried to do cool gestures but it turned out cute to me because you can see he really rehearsed for those gestures n not something naturally came, haha, nothing bad about that, the efforts are worth applauding, n being cute is a merit in its own, don't ya think. wanting to try hard makes one cool, acting like tryhards are not though.
