*Em's POV*

For the first time since Rstory had arrived in Korea, people weren't really even paying attention to Em. No, not at all. It was the perfect day to go to the beach. It was warm, and Em was being left alone.

The other girls had gone to get some sunscreen from the store, and she'd been left to guard their stuff because she was smart enough not to change yet.

She leaned back on her towel, enjoying the sunshine on Jeju island. It was a much-needed vacation. Ever since Rstory had gained popularity, she hadn't had any moments like this, between college and touring.

A small group of girls was sitting a few meters away from her, chittering amongst themselves. Em didn't try to overhear. It just kind of happened.

"This is the third time. I can't stand it!" one of cried, sobbing wildly.

"It's okay..." one of the others consoled, "he'll notice you someday..."

"No!" the first one shouted, "I won't do it anymore! If I can't have him, no one will!"

"What are you planning to do?!" the second one asked.

"You have your dad's motorboat, right? We can use it. When he's out in the water."

It should probably be explained why no one was paying attention to Em. Basically, there was an idol swimming show being filmed on the beach that day. And why pay attention to a girl from Rstory when you can watch a shirtless SHINee member? Not that Em was really interested in that. SHINee was for Ali and Eliz. If it was a member of B.A.P it would be a different story.

But she couldn't help but listen to the conversation. What were they planning to do to Minho?!

"He'd never forget us! We could be together in heaven!"

Oh dear God. Sasaeng fans.

"Come on, let's go. Minho will be ours!"

Yup. Definitely sasaeng fans. They all got up excitedly, disappearing down the beach.

Em thought about what she had just overheard. She liked SHINee, but didn't have any real personal affection towards them. Besides, the girls probably wouldn't actually hit Minho with their motorboat. they'd probably chicken out. 

But what if they didn't? What if something actually happened to him? What if Eliz found out that she had known about it, and hadn't done anything? She would be so mad...

But what about their stuff? She was there to watch it. She couldn't just leave it...

Okay, she could. She had to. She had to go save Minho. Even if he was just a fake, and the real one lived in Mel's pond. She had to save him, for Eliz's sake. 

*Minho's POV*

Minho laughed at the MC, splashing water at one of his co-stars. It was a good day to film. He swam circles around the girl, quite enjoying getting attention from the cameraman.

"MINHO-SHIIIIIIIIII!!!!!"

He looked at the beach, startled by the incredibly loud scream. He wasn't exactly right next to the beach.

Probably just another fan. Focus on filming. He shook his head, forcing himself to ignore it, even as the girl screamed for him again.

"Minho, you're in danger!" she yelled. He couldn't help but look at her. From this distance, it was hard to tell, but he was pretty sure she was a foreigner, even though she'd yelled in Korean.

She'd said he was in danger. He looked around. Everything seemed normal. People playing in the water, some sporting boats whizzing by, and a crowd of people watching the filming. Shw was probably just another crazy fan, trying to get his attention.

He smiled and waved, hoping that would appease her. It didn't. She screamed again. The other people on the show were starting to give him weird looks.

He couldn't afford to indulge her. He had to focus on filming. He felt sorry for her, but he couldn't do anything about it until later.

Em pushed her way through the crowd towards the front of the beach. She was abit surprised at how easy it was-- but she supposed that was one advantage of being a foreigner in Korea. People just got out of her way. Of course, maybe they were just scared of her because she looked like a desperate madwoman.

She began to panic when he didn't listen to her. Could he not see that one motorboat, coming closer and closer?!

 She debated giving up. No, she couldn't! Eliz would never forgive her!

"Minho!" she screeched again. When he didn't respond, she eyed the water. There was no choice. She had to do it somehow. She was a terrible swimmer, but if he didn't get out of the way on his own, she would have to go out to him.

Minho looked back at the beach to see the girl swimming towards him. She wasn't a good swimmer. She spluttered and flailed, desperately fighting against the waves that forced her back towards the shore. She'd never make it. She was using too much energy trying to yell his name.

Someone needed to save her. But on the shore, no one moved. They just pointed at her and murmured.

He had to do something. She could drown. But what about filming?!

When he saw her plunge under the water, he made up his mind. He flew through the water towards her, putting the cast behind him. 

She splashed above surface, gasping, "Minho! Minho!" He swam towards her as fast as he could, finally reaching her. He circled his arm around her, doing his best to keep her above water as he kicked towards shore.

"What are you doing?!" he asked while she spluttered. He heard a scream and an engine roar come from behind him, turning to look just in time to see a motorboat fly right through the filming area, narrowly missing some of the other guests. It would have smashed him if he'd still been there.

He looked at Em incredulously. "Did you just... save my life?!"

Too late. She was unconscious. She'd inhaled too much water.

Em woke up in a hospital bed. She had a massive headache, and the sounds from the t.v. only irritated her. She peeled her eyes open, trying to sit up.

"Woah! Hey, slow down. You almost drowned!" a voice she didn't know remarked.

She almost drowned? Suddenly everything came back to her. Oh god. "Minho?! Are you okay?!"

"Am I okay?! You almost drowned!"

Em winced from his voice. She glanced at the t.v. screen, then felt the misery creep in when she saw what was on it.

Her face was plastered all over the news, including videos of her, wildly flailing to try to get out to him. The announcer kept trying not to laugh, and was failing, especially when they got to the picture of Minho pulling an unconscious Emily onto shore.

She grabbed the remote off of the end table and turned the t.v. off before automatically burying her face in her hands. The embarrassment of this would kill her.

She peeked through her fingers at Minho. "I must have completely freaked you out, huh?"

"I thought you were completely crazy," he admitted. "So you're a member of Rstory, right? You know Queen Be, then?"

Em nodded. "She used to be our Maknae. Before she left to be a trainee for SM. But she's in Hawaii with Super Junior right now..." she looked down at her sheets. "Have you been here the entire time?"

Minho didn't answer right away. "How did you know that the sasaeng fans were going to try that?"

"They were next to me. On the beach. I guess they saw that I was a foreigner and didn't think that i could speak Korean." She looked up at him. "You saved my life, even though I'm not your fan."

"I didn't know that. I thought you were drowning."

"I was. Stupid Minho, not listening to me even though I was trying to save your life. Eliz owes me BIG TIME for this!"

"Well, it worked out just fine. I saved my life by saving yours."

Em felt extremely embarrassed, but oddly touched.

"Em! Are you okay?!"

Em looked past Minho to the three girls in the doorway. She winced. Jacklyn's concerned screech had irritated her piercing headache. "Yeah, I'm fine."

The girls of Rstory entered the room. Ali and Eliz bowed to Minho. "Kamsahamnida, Minho-oppa." They stayed near him, looking slightly lost, while Jacklyn ran to Emily's side.

"We got back and you were gone, and by the time we got to the front of the beach, Minho-shi was pulling you up on shore!"

"Sorry, I abandoned your stuff," Em croaked.

"Forget our stuff!" Eliz demanded. "What in the world would make someone want to run Minho over with a motorboat?!" she eyed Minho warily, still sticking closely to him. He looked slightly uncomfortable.

Em shrugged. "They were sasaeng fans."

"I hate sasaeng fans," all of the girls of Rstory said at once, and then laughed. 

"Minho-shi, are you alright?! You didn't get injured or anything, did you?!" Ali asked him, still sticking close to him. He backed up a bit.

"Y-yeah, I'm fine. Your friend was the one who almost drowned." He frowned, then crossed the room to Emily's hospital bed. "I hope you're alright, now. And.. thank you for saving me, even though you don't even know me or like me that much. Make sure you let me know when you're better, okay?"

He pressed something into her hand, bowed to the girls of Rstory, then crossed the room and exited. 

Em opened the fingers around her palm, expecting to see money, but no-- that wasn't what it was.

She quickly closed her fist around the paper before any of the other girls could see the number scrawled on a tiny piece of paper. The last thing she needed was Eliz killing her over Minho's phone number.
