Title: The Guardian

Characters: Kim Joonmyun (Suho), Park Chorong and EXO

It was warm and peaceful day in the EXO kingdom,like it was almost always thanks to the 12 guardians who protected the beautiful and small place. Like everyday, everyone seemed to be happily doing their duties, except for one person, who seemed to be really angry that day.

Joonmyun slammed the door shut when he entered the kitchen, stomping his feet on the floor as he made his way towards the table, where the other 11 guardians sat. His friends looked at him with an amused face and tried to hold back their laughters. Joonmyun sat down on one of the chairs and let out a tired sigh. 

"What's with you Joonmyun?" Yifan asked surprised to see him storming in like that, but he actually had an idea of the reason. Everyone did, but still, they asked.

"She is such a pain in the !" he complained angrily and his friends tried to hold back their laughter, once again. Without even saying her name, they already knew who he was talking about. They knew very well who was the only person that could make the calm and sweet Kim Joonmyun, become this mad.

"Oh come hyung, we all now you have a soft spot for princess Chorong" Baekhyun said in a teasing voice and the older boy, just glared at him in disbelief. His friends, once again, tried to fight the urge to laugh, but this time failed and ended up laughing out loud. Joonmyun let out another sigh and just glared at them.

"Soft spot?" he asked mad and rolled his eyes "She is such an spoiled and whiny princess that never listens to what I say! I'm a guardian of EXO kingdom for God's sake, not a babysitter!!"

The other 11 guardians laughed at him once again and somehow pitied him a little bit. He seemed to be really mad and they just couldn't help but laugh. He was one of the 12 guardians who protected EXO planet and he loved what he did, but he had never imagine he would be assigned a duty like that. He would rather fight evil forces than deal with the infamous princess Chorong.

:Flashback:

"Joonmyun, I called you here because I want to give an special job" the king said, looking at the boy who was kneeling down in front of him "I hope you don't refuse"

"I would listen to whatever you have to say, your majesty" he said politely. The king smiled and the proceeded to explain what he had to say.

"Joonmyun, I want you to protect my daugther" the king said suddenly and Joonmyun was surprised

"What?" he asked confused, with his eyes slightly widened

"Chorong is rebeld kid and I'm afraid something bad might happen to her, that's why I want you to follow her around and protect her." the king said, letting out a worried sigh. Joonmyun was completely shocked. What was he suppossed to say?

"My job is to protect this kingdom, your majesty" Joonmyun said with all the needed respect and with a calm voice "Not to take care of a teenage girl"

"If you protect the princess, you are protecting our kingdom" this time, it was the queen who softly spoke. "Please Joonmyun, take care of Chorong..."

Both, the king and queen, looked at him with pleading eyes.  Joonmyun thought about it for a while and then let out a small sigh. His duty was to protect the plantet from evil forces, but part of his duty was also, to do what the king told him to do, so he didn't really had another choice.

"I'll do as you say" he said and the king and queen smiled satisfied and more relieved. Joonmyun thought it wouldn't be such a difficult job to take care of her. She was just a teenage girl... how difficult could it be to take care of her?

:End of flashback:

Joonmyun couldn't believe how wrong he had been to think that it wasn't going to be a difficult job. And difficult was an understatement. She was a complete headache and she was driving him crazy already.

When the other guardians heard the news that Joonmyun had become the princess' guardian, they couldn't help but laugh like there was no tomorrow. Apparently, everyone knew how the princess was, except for him. Now he knew. 

He had tried his best to do his job, but she never listened to him and she liked to do whatever she wanted to.He was starting to believe that she liked to annoy him and he was starting to feel really pissed off about that.  She would usually escape from the castle without anyone knowing and he'd had to look for her everywhere, making him worry like crazy. 

"Just admit it, Joonmyun" Minseok said as they continued teasing him "You have fallen head over heels for her"

Joonmyun's eyes widened in shock and he stared at the older guy in disbelief.

"Fallen for her?" he asked rather shocked "Of course not!"

"Right. And you don't get jealous whenever she hangs out with other boys" Yixing said sarcastically and the guys laughed once again. Joonmyun glared at them and then clenched his fists. 

"I'm just doing my job! Which includes protecting her from guys who can harm her!" he said feeling mad. Just the thought of seeing Chorong with another guy, made him mad. Jealous? No, he wasn't jealous... he was just mad at her because she never listened to him.  When he told her not to hang out with someone, she wouldn't listen and she would still do it and he would have to follow her around and make sure she was ok.

Everytime she approached another guy, he couldn't help but clench his fists with anger. Whenever she went to parties, he would end up dragging her out because she didn't seem to notice the way other guys looked at her. It just made him want to punch their faces until their teeth came off.

Joonmyun sighed. Ok, maybe he had to admit he was jealous. He was indeed jealous. Because somehow, he had fallen in love with the spoiled and bratty princess. At first, he was just doing his job, but as time passed by, he started to care for her. Everytime, she disappeared from his sight, his heart would come off, thinking that something might have happened to her and he would look for her until he found her. He would scold her, but deep inside, he would be very grateful and relieved that he had found her and that she was ok. And of course, they would end up arguing like they always did.

Yes, he had fallen head over heels for the bratty and spoiled princess Chorong, but he was never going to admit it to his friends. Because, despite the fact that he loved her, she was still a pain in the and she never failed to annoy him. He loved her more than anything, but she was never going to love him back...

Joonmyun was still zoning out, lost in his thoughts, when someone entered the kitchen in that moment and suddenly everyone remained silent. They stood up and bowed down at the person who had just arrived. It was the princess and she seemed ready to go out. Joonmyun just stared at her suprised.

"In case you care, I'm going out" she said coldly and he sighed. She walked out of the kitchen with fast pace and Joonmyun inmediately jumped off his seat to follow her.

"Yah! Wait for me" he said as he went after her. The other guardians just looked at him and laughed slightly.

"There he goes again" Jongin said. Even if he didn't want to admit it, they knew he had fallen deeply for her.

"Where are we going?" he suddenly asked when he had finally managed to catch her, holding her wrist. She turned around and just glared at him, before releasing her wrist from his grip. 

"Just do as I say, why do you always ask so many questions!" she said angrily and rolled her eyes. Joonmyun fight the urge to sigh once again. This girl was driving him crazy.

"I'm your protector, not your driver in case you forgot!" he yelled at her, sounding mad. Of course he was mad. He was supposed to protect her, not to do anything she wanted to and she seemed to have mistaken his duties because everytime she was going to go out, she would tell him to drive her. He just had to do it because he was afraid something could happen to her.

"Fine" she said seriously "Then I'll go on my own!"

Before he could even say anything, Chorong had already snatched the keys from Joonmyun's hands and got on the car. Everything happened so fast that when he realized what had happened, it was already too late.

"Yah! princess Chorong! YOU CAN'T DRIVE OWN YOUR OWN!" he yelled as he ran after her, but she had already started the engine and left at a high speed. Joonmyun cursed under his breath as he watched her leave.

"Argh! Park Chorong, why are you like this?!" he asked to no one in particular, before running to get his motorbike, to be able to follow her. He put on his helmet and inmediately stormed out.

In no time, his motorbike was behind the car Chorong was driving. When Chorong noticed that Joonmyun was following her, she drove faster. Joonmyun increased the speed as well, but it wasn't enough to keep up with the car's speed. Joonmyun cursed under his breath once again and hope she would stop the car soon.

Chorong increased the speed once again, in order to lose Joonmyun, but she was going so fast that she lost control of the car. Joonmyun watched with wide eyes how the car crashed agaisnt a tree with a loud impact. Time seemed to have stopped in that moment. His heart was beating faster and he thought it would come off soon. He inmediately stopped his motorbike and ran to the place where the car had crashed.

"Chorong!" he screamed worried as he ran to the car and opened the door. The girl had her eyes closed and her forehead was bleeding slightly. Joonmyun pulled her out of the car and carried her bridal style away from the car. He then laid her down on the ground and checked her wounds. By then, Chorong had already opened her eyes and winced in pain everytime Joonmyun touched her wounds.

"Ouch" she complained as he touched her forehead.

"Serves you, right?" he said as looked at her coldly, before continuing.

"Would please stop looking at me that way?" she said mad, looking away. She hated that cold and piercing gaze he gave her everytime he was mad at her. It made her feel worse. "It's annoying"

Joonmyun was a very patient person, but this girl was pushing him off his limits. 

"Damn it Chorong, you almost killed yourself and you ask me to not be mad at you?!! Can you for once stop being so reckless?!!!" Joonmyun blew off and started yelling at her. 

"Yah stop yelling at me, my head hurts already" she said, but in a soft voice. She felt bad for what she did, but she was too stubborn to admit it. Joonmyun just sighed and looked at her.

"I was so damn worried about you" he said and Chorong was suddenly taken aback. Her eyes widened as she looked at him in disbelief.

"You were worried about me?!" she asked, still surprised and Joonmyun realized he shouldn't have said that out loud. However, he didn't understand why she was so surprised to hear that he was worried about her. 

"Why do you doubt it?" he asked and she looked down quiet embarrassed. 

"I don't know" she said softly "I just thought... you hated me and that you only did your job because you had to"

Chorong sounded down, even sad. It was the first time Joonmyun had hear her talk to him like that. For the first time, Chorong had admitted how she really felt.

"I don't hate you" he said and she looked up surprised. "Even if you are whinny and spoiled princess who never listens to me and does wreckless things that can get me into trouble.... I don't hate you"

"Then why are you always so mad at me?" she asked as she didn't understand his attitude towards her.

"Because you never listen to me! You act as if you liked to annoy me" he said and she suddenly giggled. Joonmyun looked at her surrprised as he didn't know why she was laughing at him. "Why are you laughing?"

"It's nothing" she said and looked down again. The two of them remained quiet once again and Joonmyun continued checking her wounds to see if she was ok. He hadn't notice the sudden blush on Chorong's face when he gently touched her face. He suddenly looked into her eyes and she looked away inmediately. 

"Joonmyun?" she suddenly said 

"Yes?" he asked back. Chorong didn't say anything and just leaned forward, planting a soft kiss on his mouth. His eyes widened in shock at first, but he then just closed his eyes and kissed her back. Chorong was slightly shocked, because she never expected him to kiss her back. However, her heart was beating faster than ever.

"I like you Joonmyun, that's why I always like to annoy you... just to get your attention" she shyly said when they pulled apart. Chorong didn't know if it had been the right decision to tell him, but she felt a lot more relieved now that she had finally said it. She was afraid of rejection, but she didn't hide it anymore. Little did she know, Joonmyun felt the same way.

"Chorong?" he said but she didn't look up since she was too embarrassed. Joonmyun then cupped her face in his hands and looked at her with soft eyes. He smiled before planting his lips on hers once again and kissing her softly.

"I like you too... even if you are brat who loves to get into trouble" he said and she smiled brightly

"But... Chorong?" he suddenly said

"Yes?" she asked

"Would you stop getting into so much trouble?" he asked suddenly and she giggled.

"No" she said 

"What?!" he asked as he couldn't believe what he was hearing

"Because if I didn't get into trouble, my parents wouldn't have assigned me a guardian" she said and he was surprised, but he smiled. She had gotten him into a lot of trouble, but it was worth it. Maybe the idea of being her guardian hadn't been such a bad idea after all.
