"Naeun, what are you writing there?" Chorong asked as she sipped her coffee. The girls were sitting on a table in a coffee shop, because it was freezing outside and when Chorong spoke, they all turned their attention to Naeun. She bit the bottom of her pencil and then wrote something down on the white sheet o paper she had on the table.

"Just a wishlist" she replied with a smile on her face and the girls frowned confused "Things I want for this new year"

The girls giggled and tried to snatch the paper away from her, but she didn't want to let go. She didn't want them to read what she had written. Just when she was about to continue making her list, someone snatched the piece of paper away from her from behind.

"Yah!" she said as she turned around startled. Her eyes widened in shock when she saw Kim Jongin, her worst enemy, snickering at her as he read her list out loud. The girls wanted to help Naeun, but they couldn't help but giggle.

"Getting a kiss on new year's eve?" he asked mockingly and Naeun blushed. 

"It's not of your business, ok?" she said angrily as she took away the sheet of paper from him again, with a glare and Jongin just chuckled "What are you doing here anyway?"

"I just wanted to let you know I'm throwing a party tonight" he said as he put his arm around Naeun's shoulder. She rolled her eyes and shoved his arm away. "You guys are invited by the way"

"Thanks Jongin ssi" Bomi replied on behalf of everyone

"Why do you think we are interested in going to your party?" Naeun asked as she glared at him once again. Jongin simply smirked.

"Well, I guessed your friends wanted to know that my friends are going to be there" he said and smiled satisfied when Naeun's friends blushed. He knew very well that Naeun's friends liked his friends and they had just showed it by blushing. "And who knows? Maybe your prince will be there to kiss you tonight"

He then winked at her and walked away from the coffee shop, not before stealing Naeun's coffee. Naeun growled and glared at him and he laughed as he left.

"He totally likes you" Namjoo said and the girls nodded as they giggled

"How can you say that?!" she asked, but she couldn't hide her blushed cheeks. "He loves to embarrass me!"

"He just loves you" Namjoo teased and Naeun glared at her

"We are going to that party right?" Eunji asked, a little bit too excited. The girls laughed and nodded and she blushed, when she realized she was acting a little bit to excited. "You know, just so Naeun gets her new year's kiss"

Naeun rolled her eyes and the girls laughed again. They were definitely going to that party.

The music blasted and Jongin's mansion was full of people dancing and enjoying themselves. The seven girls made their way in after their names were checked on the list and as they walked in, they were amused at how huge and beautiful the house was. His house was near a lake and from were they were standing, they had a perfect view of it.

"I'm going to get a drink" Bomi said happily, fastly getting in the mood

"Me too" Eunji also said

"I think I'll just look around the house" Chorong said

"I'll go with you unnie" Hayoung told her

"I'll just go and dance" Namjoo said

"Me too" Yookyung said too

Before Naeun could say something, her friends had already disappeared, leaving her alone in that huge mansion. She could only sigh and then stared walking around the house. It didn't take long for her to spot her friends once again, but they weren't alone now. Bomi and Eunji were in the drinks table, chatting happily with Luhan and Baekhyun. Namjoo was on the dance floor, dancing with Jongdae and Yookyung was just sitting on one couch, chatting with Zitao. She then spotted Chorong taking a walk in the garden with Joonmyun and Hayoung was just standing by the lake and chatting with Sehun.

"I told you your friends would ditch you for my friends" someone whispered in her ear, making her jump startled. She turned around and saw Jongin smirking at her.

"Your scared me, idiot!" she said and hit his arm, making him chuckle.

"Did you find your prince yet?" he asked teasingly, leaning a little closer to her face. Naeun blushed embarrassed and backed away.

"Told you it's not of your business" she said crossing her arms and he chuckled once again "Just go away"

"Well, your friends left you and my friends left me" he said with a playful smile "Why don't we go to dance instead of staying here alone?"

He bowed down and extended his hand for her to take it. She simply rolled her eyes, but ended up giving up and took his hand. Jongin smiled brightly and lead her to the dance floor. To her dismay, a slow song started playing so he pulled her closer to his body, making her blush.

Naeun wasn't very experienced with these kinds of slow dances, but Jongin lead her perfectly with his handsome smile never leaving his face. When the song finished, Naeun pulled away slightly blushed and left the dance floor to go for a drink. Jongin watched her leave and he simply chuckled once again, before following her.

"Why are you following me?" she asked, taking a sip of her punch and he smiled

"Just let me know if you find your prince, ok?" he said and she rolled her eyes. He was obviously mocking her. "Oh by the way, I have a surprise for you... just go to the lake before midnight"

Before Naeun could say something or ask further questions, Jongin had already disappeared from her view. Naeun simply sighed. It seemed as if everyone enjoyed doing that to her. She suddenly felt curious about what Jongin meant. Was it another one of his jokes? Or did he really planned a surprise for her? And if it was true... why would he do it? All those questions were running around her mind, making her distracted until she snapped back to reality when her noisy friends joined her once again.

"We saw you and Jongin together, Naeunnie" Eunji said wiggling her eyebrows.

"Yeah, did you got your kiss already?" Chorong asked teasingly. Naeun just rolled her eyes at her friends.

"No" she said sterrnly, causing them to laugh "And you guys ditched me for your boys, so I should be the one teasing you guys not the other way around"

"Naeun unnie isn't denying she wants a kiss from Jongin oppa!" Namjoo said with a teasing voice as well and Naeun's eyes widened suddenly, as she blushed slightly.

"Yah! I never said that!" she said, without being able to contain her blush. The girls simply chuckled.

"Oh so where is he now?" Bomi asked

"I don't know, ok? He simply left" she said sternly, but that didn't stop her friends to stop teasing her. Naeun then suddenly bit her lower lip as she unconsciously looked at the gigant clock that had been put in the center of the garden. It was a countdown to midnight and there were still a few hours left. She wouldn't want to admit it, but curiosity was killing her and she really wanted to know if what Jongin said was another one of his jokes or really a surprise. She suddenly shook her thoughts away.

Naeun tapped her foot when she finally arrived to the said place. A few minutes before midnight, Jongin had said and she had arrived to the lake at the said time. He was nowhere to be seen and she was actually starting to regret her decision of listening to him. Maybe she should just go and look for her friends, since it was almost time and she wanted to be there to be able to hug them and to wish them a happy new year.

When she was about to turn around, the gigant clock lit up and she could see that there were only 10 seconds left. People around started chanting the countdown and Naeun didn't know why she stood rooted in her spot.

"5!...4!...3!...2!...1!..."

"Happy new year!" everyone around yelled excitedly and hugged the people around of them. Fireworks suddenly starting exploding behind her on the lake, causing her to jump startled. She turned around and looked at the fireworks, feeling completely amazed. However, something suddenly caught her off guard. One of the fireworks had written something on the sky.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" it said and Naeun watched with her eyes widened.

"So, will you?" someone said from behind her and she turned around startled. Jongin was standing there with a smile on his face and waiting for an answer. She was really taken aback by the sudden confession and her heart was suddenly beating faster, she didn't know why.

"J-Jongin" she said. She didn't mean to stutter, but she couldn't help it "D-Did you plan all these?"

Jongin smiled cheekily and nodded.

"The whole party was just an excuse to bring you here" he said as he suddenly laughed at himself "You wouldn't have come otherwise"

"You are right, I wouldn't" she replied and Jongin couldn't help but laugh once again. He then looked her intensely and she blushed as she looked down at her feet nervously.

"So, what do you say?" he asked as he started walking closer to her. He gently took her chin with his fingers and made her look at him. "Will you be my girlfriend, Naeunnie?"

Naeun was blushed and really nervous, but she still managed to smile.

"Only if you grant me one wish" she said and he looked at her confused

"What wish?" he asked and she chuckled

"My new year's kiss" she said and he smiled, before chuckling as well

"Granted" he said with a smile, before leaning in and sealing their lips in a sweet but long kiss. Naeun felt butterflies in her stomach. She wouldn't  have wanted to admit it before, but she had always hoped her prince was him. Even if she acted as if she didn't like him, she had secretly always hoped he would be the one to give her her new year's kiss, but she was not going to say that to him because she didn't want to inflate his ego.

After they pulled away, Naeun smiled and he smiled away.

"I guess this is going to be great year" Jongin said and Naeun chuckled

"I'm sure it would" she said and they melted in another sweet kiss. It was a really good way to start their brand new year.
