Title: Obsession

Characters: Yoon Bomi, Kim Jongin (Kai), Lu Han and Wu Yifan (Kris)

Genre: Angst/ Slight romance

The girl desperately ran down the empty streets and hoped not to get caught by him. She could feel the footsteps behind her and fear took over her whole body. From time to time, she looked behind her shoulder to see if she saw him and when she caught sight of him, she tried to run even faster. Her heart wouldn't stop beating in fear as he came nearer and nearer.

"Find her and bring her to me!" his voice echoed in his head as he chased after. He had to catch her and bring her back to him, or else, he'll be death. He made a mistake once and he couldn't disappoint him twice, or he'll be really death. 

"Come on Bomi, you can run faster" she told herself as she continued running, but she was already too tired. She felt the desire to cry desperately when she tripped and fell to the ground. She tried to stand up, but when she was about to do it, someone grabbed her wrist.

"Ahh" she screamed in fear when she saw the guy she had been running away from in front of her

"Found you!" the blonde guy said. He had gentle feautures, despite the fact that he was the bad guy.

"Please Luhan, just let me go" she said with pleading eyes. She was really scared of what could happen to her if she ever went back to that place. Her hands were shaking because of the fear and she felt the desire to cry. She was truly scared.

"I can't" he said gently "I'm sorry Bomi, but I really have to do this"

"He is going to keep me prisoner for the rest of my life!" she desperately as tears run down her eyes "Please, you have to help me"

"I let you go once and that almost costed me my life" he said, unable to look at her in his eyes. The first time Bomi was kidnapped, he helped her to escape and when Yifan found out, he almost killed him. To make it up for his mistake, he had to find her again and bring her back to him.

He was very aware that Bomi didn't deserve what was happening to her, but he had no other choice. Yifan was his boss and he had to do what he was told to.

"I'm sorry" Luhan said feeling truly sorry as he grabbed her arm. 

"Please someone help me!" she yelled out loud. There was no one near, so it was probably worthless to shout. However, when Luhan was about to drag her away, someone appeared. 

"Hey! Let her go!" the person that had saw the said and ran towards them. Luhan inmediately held onto Bomi's wrist and began running away. She tried to break free, but couldn't. His grip was too tight and he was running too fast.

"Please help me!" Bomi shouted to the stranger that was chasing after them. The guy was fast and managed to block Luhan. When he did, he inmediately pulled Bomi and began running away, gripping on her wrist tightly. Bomi was already tired and her legs weren't responding. She cursed mentally as she tried to continue running.

"We can't keep running, we have to hide" he said as he pulled her, behind some boxes that they found on the way. He covered and they kept silent. The only sound that could he heard were the their hearbeats. Soon they heard Luhan's footsteps near and they tensed. Bomi hoped with all her heart that Luhan wouldn't hear them.

They didn't move an inch and waited for a while and they heard the footsteps go away. The guy removed his hand from Bomi's mouth and she sighed relieved.

"Thank you so much!" she said and the stranger smiled

"Let's go somewhere else" he said "It's still not safe"

She nodded and the two of them walked away from that isolated place. After walking for about half an hour, they finally arrived to café and Bomi was relieved to see more people. She knew that with so many people watching, Yifan wouldn't dare to do anything.

They ordered two cups of coffee and sat there in silent. Bomi was still really nervous and her hands wouldn't stop shaking as she tried to hold her cup of coffee.

"Hey calm down a bit" he said "You are safe now"

"Thanks again" she said, looking at him. She was really thankful to him. She didn't know what would have happened to her if her didn't find her. "What's your name, by the way?"

"I'm Kim Jongin" he said with a gentle smile. 

"Yoon Bomi" she said introducing herself

"So... why were you running away from that guy?" he asked her and she suddenly tensed. She looked at him and sighed. He saved her life, so she at least owed him an explanation.

"I used to date this guy named Yifan for a while, but when I told him I wanted to break up, he went mad. He began looking for me and stalking me, saying that I couldn't leave him. He even kidnapped me"

Jongin noticed how scared Bomi seemed when she mentioned what happened to her. That guy seemed truly obsessed with her and that was scary.

"The guy you saw there, his name is Luhan" Bomi continued explaining "He helped me escape the other time, but seems like Yifan threatened to kill him if he didn't bring me back to him"

Bomi couldn't help but let tears fall down her eyes. Jongin suddenly stood up and pulled her into a tight embrace as he rubbed her back to comfort her. She had just met him, but she felt safe with him.

"It's ok, you are safe now" he said, trying to comfort her

"I hope so" she said as she continued crying. Jongin had just met her, but he wasn't going to let that guy get her. Not if he could stop him.

"Why didn't you bring her back!" The tall guy yelled angrily, slamming his hand against the table "I told you I would kill you if you didn't!"

"I had her" Luhan said looking down. He felt really terrible and dirty for doing what he told him, but he had no other choice. "But some guy appeared and saved her"

"What?!" he asked in shock. "There was another guy?!"

"I don't even know if they know each other, though" Luhan said "He appeared suddenly and saved her"

"Bomi can't have another guy" Yifan said, clenching his fist in anger. "She is mine! And if she is not with me, she is not going to be with anyone!"

"What are you going to do now?" Luhan asked, feeling rather scared of what Yifan might do.

"I'm going to find her myself, since you are useless" he said and walked away. Luhan looked at him as he left with worried face. He was scared for his own life, but he was also scared of what he might do to Bomi. He didn't know what to do.

The sun was already setting, when Jongin walked Bomi to her house. The whole walk back to her house was quiet, but Bomi were safer having him next to her. She was afraid Luhan or Yifan might pop out suddenly and take her away once again. 

"Thanks for walking me home, Jongin" Bomi said when they were two blocks away from her house"I know you didn't have to, but I'm really thankful you did"

"Hey I couldn't leave you alone, knowing there's psycho out there after you" he said with a smile and Bomi gave him a faint smile as well. Words couldn't explain how thankful she was to him.

"Hello Bomi" a voice said when they were just about to reach her house. The voice came from behind them and she felt shivers down her spine when she recognized his voice. She turned around scared and was startled to see Yifan with his arm around Jongin's neck, trying to strangle him. He was trying to break free, but his grip was too strong.

"Let him go!" she yelled desperately with tears in her eyes. This couldn't be happening. If something happened to Jongin, it was going to be her fault.

"J-Just run Bomi" Jongin said with effort, but Yifan pressed his arm around his neck tighter and Bomi covered shocked. 

"You shut up!" Yifan yelled at him.

"Please, Yifan don't do this to him!" she yelled worried, seeing what he was doing to Jongin. "This is between you and me. He has nothing to do with it"

She afraid of what might happen to her, but she couldn't let him harm Jongin. She shouldn't have dragged him into that mess in the first place. She couldn't let anything happen to him.

"You are right" he said with a smirk "I'll let him go, if you come with me"

Jongin's eyes widened as he heard that. He couldn't let him take her. Bomi wipped the tears that were rolling down her eyes and looked at him with hatred. She had no other choice. Jongin had nothing to do with her problems and she couldn't drag into that one.

"I'll do it" she said and he smirked.

"See that was easy" Yifan said as he let go of Jongin. He coughed and tried to breath normally again. Yifan suddenly hit Jongin on the head and he fell unconscious to the ground. Bomi's eyes widened in shock when she saw what had just happened.

"Jongin!" Bomi yelled scared, before she looked a Yifan with hatred "Why did you do that?!"

"I couldn't risk being followed by him" he said as he grabbed her arm "Now let's go"

Just when Yifan was about to grab Bomi's arm, he felt a kick on his back, which made him fell to the ground. He turned around angry and his eyes widened in surprise when he saw Luhan. Bomi was shocked to see him as well and couldn't help but think that she had never felt so happy to see him.

"You are traitor!" Yifan yelled at him as he stood up and tried to punch him. Luhan dodged his punches and at the same time also tried to fight him.

"Run Bomi!" Luhan yelled as he continued to fight him. 

"I can't leave you and Jongin here!" she said as she went to see if Jongin was ok. By now Jongin was recovering his consciousness, but was still slightly dizzy from the hit he received on the head.

Luhan got distracted at this and received a punch on the face that made him fall. He expected the worst now, but then, Yifan fell unconscious to the ground. Luhan looked up and saw that Jongin had hit him on the head. 

"Are you guys ok?" she asked as she ran towards Luhan and Jongin. She looked at Yifan who was lying unconscious on the ground and couldn't help but feel sorry for him. His obsession had drove him crazy.

After some time, the police arrived to take Yifan. Luhan had called them before arriving and now they were there. Yifan was going to be sent to a  mental institution.  because it was obvious that he had mental issues. Bomi was still scared, but Jongin was there to comfort her. 

"You can run, but you cannot hide Bomi" Yifan said as he was being dragged away by the doctors of the mental institution. He tried to fight to break free, but couldn't because his wrists and legs were tied. "When I get out, I'll find you!"

After they left Bomi was still shaking in fear and trying to wip the tears from her eyes. When will she be able to live in peace? When she will be able to finally get rid of Yifan's shadow? She didn't know and she was not going to be ok until she was sure he was gone for good.

"Don't worry Bomi, I won't let him get you" Jongin said seriously and there wasn't a hint of hesiation in his voice.

"Me neither" Luhan said. Despite the fact that he helped Yifan at first, he wanted to make it up to her because he never meant what he did.

Bomi looked at the two boys and smiled. She suddenly felt really thankful to them. She was still scared of what could happen in the future if Yifan ever got out of that institution. However, she now felt safer knowing that Jongin and Luhan would be out there for her and wouldn't let anything bad happen to her.
