Title: My Beloved Enemy

Eunji walked towards her locker, along with her best friends, Naeun and Chanyeol, as soon as the bell rang announcing the end of the first period. So far, it had been a good day for her and she thought nothing could ruin her mood, but apparently, she had been wrong. She had been really wrong.

As soon as she opened her locker, something liquid suddenly fell over her, shocking her very much. It was paint and it spilled all over her body. Eunji could feel her veins starting to boil in anger. She was angry and it was an understatement. Of course she knew who was the responsible of this. The only person who could be capable of playing those kind of pranks on her.

"BYUN BAEKHYUN!" she yelled angrily as she wipped the paint from her face. She heard a mocking laugh from behind her and she turned around mad. There she saw her worst enemy, Byun Baekhyun, laughing like a hyena because of the stupid prank he had just played on her. 

"Oh Eunji, did you like my surprise?" he asked and then started laughing at her. Eunji clenched her fists as her face turned red in anger and she started walking towards him. When he saw this, his eyes widened in shock and then he suddenly started running away from her. Eunji started chasing after him and people around could just move away. 

Naeun and Chanyeol just stood there and watched a scene that was very common in their daily lifes. Naeun just sighed and Chanyeol chuckled. It wouldn't be a normal day without the two of them fighting. Baekhyun would always play pranks on Eunji and he would end up being chased or hit by her.

"Catch me if you can" he said as he sticked his tongue out and ran away from her.

"You are so dead, Baekhyun!" she yelled as she continued chasing after him.

Baekhyun was a fast runner, but unfortunately for him, Eunji was faster so it took her no time to catch him. When she finally did, she jumped over him and started strangling him. She didn't even care that everyone had their attention on them.

"Yah! Eunji, are you a girl or what?!" he asked trying to get free from her. This suddenly made Eunji stop what she was doing. 

"Shut up, idiot!" she yelled at him as she jumped off him and hit his arm. When he was finally free from her, he smirked and Eunji glared at him. She hated how he knew how to take control over the situation. She simply hated him. Everything about him made her mad. 

"You know, if you continue behaving like a guy, no one will ever like you!" he and Eunji's eyes widened. She suddenly felt the desire to kill someone and that someone was him. Baekhyun laughed seeing her reaction and Eunji clenched her fists once again. Baekhyun knew very well which buttons to push and he knew that comments like that could made her really angry. He really enjoyed making her mad and he laughed at it.

"You are an stupid and brainless idiot!" she yelled at him and kicked his leg, before turning around and leaving. Baekhyun groaned in pain as he rubbed his leg. He watched her leave and smirked despite the pain. Oh how he loved making her angry

It was lunch time already and Baekhyun was eating peacefully along his friends of the basketball team Jongin, Sehun, Joonmyun, Kyungsoo and Chanyeol. Chanyeol also happened to be part of the team and he was Baekhyun's friend too, so he was usually in an uncomfortable situation when Eunji and Baekhyun fought. He just chose not to take sides and it had been the wisest decision he could ever make.

"Baekhyun ah" Chanyeol suddenly called his name while they were eating. He had been curious about something for a really long time and he thought maybe he should ask him already. Baekhyun was concentrated on his food and he looked up when Chanyeol called his name.

"Hmm?" he just said as he looked at his friend with curiosity

"Why do you tease Eunji so much?" he asked and Baekhyun almost chocked with his food. He coughed and grabbed his glass of water. He gulped and then looked at him surprised. He clearly did not expect that question at that moment.

"Why? Because she is easy to pick on, obviously" Baekhyun said and laughed. His friend looked at him weirdly and Chanyeol raised an eyebrow, unconvinced with his answer. 

"I think you are quite obsessed with the poor girl" Jongin suddenly said, shaking his head in disapproval "I think you like her"

"What?!" Baekhyun asked shocked, but couldn't hide the slight blush on his cheeks "Like her?! How can someone like her?! She acts like a dude!"

"Hey, it's my friend you are talking about" Chanyeol said and Baekhyun just shrugged.

"Well, apparently not everyone thinks like you" Sehun said to Baekhyun as he pointed at Eunji's table. Baekhyun turned around inmediately and saw a guy of the football team talking with Eunji. She was obviously blushed and he was smiling like a fool. Baekhyun was surprised and suddenly felt angry and he didn't understand why. Why would another guy want to get close to her?

"I heard from someone of the football team that Howon likes Eunji very much" Joonmyun said and everyone turned to look at him. Baekhyun's mouth dropped open as he couldn't believe what he was hearing. Chanyeol noticed Baekhyun's weird reaction and a creepy smile suddenly appeared on his face.

"Well, I heard Eunji said she liked him" Chanyeol said, playing along

"What?" Baekhyun asked, trying not to act too shocked, but failed. The guys fought the urge to laugh, but it didn't work so they ended up laughing out loud. Baekhyun was obviously jealous, but he was in denial. Of course he would never admit he liked his worst enemy, but the guys knew better.

"That guy must be blind" he just mumbled, sounding slightly annoyed as he looked at her direction once again.

Eunji had been giving her rant about how much she hated Baekhyun to her friends, when someone suddenly tapped her shoulder. She wasn't in the mood for that, so she had been about to yell at the person who had interrupted her until she saw who it was. dropped and her cheeks turned red, instantly.

"Hey Eunji..." the guy said, rubbing his neck nervously

"H-Howon oppa, hi" she said nervously as well. 

"I was wondering if you wanted to go out with me..." he said shyly and she was surprised. She had always admired him very much and she did not expect him to ask her out suddenly. Eunji looked at her friends, who gave her thumps up, and then she looked at him. He smiled awkwardly and hoped she would say yes.

Eunji hesitated for a while, but then just nodded.

"Ok" she said smiling and he smiled brightly

"Cool" Howon said, obviously happier. "I'll see you on Saturday then"

When Howon returned to his table, the girls squealed and giggled happily. They started teasing Eunji, who didn't know what to say. She was just slightly blushed.

"Lee Howon oppa had just asked you out, you should be happier" Naeun told her

"I am" Eunji said and smiled.

"Howon hyung asked Eunji out finally" Chanyeol told Baekhyun that day, during the basketball practice. Baekhyun almost spat the water he was drinking at the time and Chanyeol held back his laughter.

"Why are you telling me this?" he asked and Chanyeol shrugged

"I thought you wanted to know" he said smiling, before joining the rest of them who were currently running around the gym. Baekhyun couldn't believe what he was hearing. He clenched his fists and didn't understand why he was feeling so angry. He suddenly felt the desire to crash their date and a smile appeared on his face.

Saturday arrived faster than Eunji wished. She was in her room, getting ready for her date and she couldn't stop looking at the clock, while Naeun was helping her apply her make up. Howon said he was going to pick her up at about 7pm, so she was anxiously looking at the clock and shaking her legs.

"Stop moving if you don't want to end up looking like a clown" Naeun warned her

"I'm just nervous!" Eunji said. She would have bitten her nails if Naeun hadn't gave her a 'don't you dare' look. "What if I screw up? Or what if something goes wrong?"

"Be positive for once, will you?" she said and Eunji smiled faintly. She was still a little bit insecure and she couldn't help but feel that something was going to happen that night. Probably she was only imagining things due to the anxiety. 

Howon arrived just on time and Eunji jumped startled when the bell of her house suddenly rang. She took a deep breath before walking down the stairs and finally meeting him. He smiled brightly when he saw her and led her to his car, like a gentleman. He had prepared a lot of things for her and hope everything would turn right.

When they finally arrived to the restaurant, Eunji was surprised to see how expensive and classy it looked. It suddenly made her feel more nervous. She didn't want to screw up and she was afraid of embarrassing herself in front of all that people.

The two of them sat down and waited for one of the waiters to take their order. 

"May I take your order?" someone said and Eunji looked up startled when she heard a familiar voice. dropped when she saw that very familiar smirk.

"What the hell are you doing here, Baekhyun?!" she asked madly and Howon looked up startled. 

"I didn't know you worked here, Baekhyun ssi" Howon said and Baekhyun just smiled. Eunji was still surprised and looked at him with hatred. He looked at her mischievously at first, but couldn't help but feel impressed at how girly she looked that night. She looked truly beautiful, but he would rather die than say that aloud.

"Bring us this and this" Howon said pointing at the dishes on the menu. 

"Your order will be ready in no time" he said smiling and gave Eunji an evil look before leaving. Eunji wanted to scream in frustation, but held back. She couldn't believe her worst enemy was there, on her date. She just hoped he would behave.

Baekhyun smirked once again as he carried the tray of food towards Eunji's table. He was going to enjoy this very much. As soon as he arrived to the table, Eunji gave him a warning look, but he just ignored him. He put Howon's dish in front of him neatly and then turned to Eunji. When he was about to put her dish in front of her, he 'accidentally' dropped it and it landed on her dress.

"BYUN BAEKHYUN!" she yelled angrily as she turned red of anger. Everyone around turned their attention to their table and people started whispering things. Eunji turned even redder and Baekhyun couldn't tell if it was due the anger or the embarrassment. Howon was surprised and he tried to help Eunji, but she just stood up.

Baekhyun smirked as he thought Eunji would hit him or chase after him like always and embarrass herself, but she didn't. She only threw him a cold glare.

"You took this too far!" she said with anger "I hate you! I don't want to see your face ever!"

She sounded angry, really angry and that shocked Baekhyun very much. His pranks would usually made her angry, but not as much as now. She seemed truly upset. Eunji threw the napkin to his face and just walked out of the restaurant and didn't look back. Baekhyun just stood there and watched her leave and knew in that moment that he had taken it too far.

Howon had been about to stand up to follow her, when Baekhyun suddenly stopped.

"Please let me do it, it was my fault" Baekhyun said and Howon looked at him surprised. He then just nodded and Baekhyun ran out of the restaurant, trying to look for her and hoping it wouldn't be too late.

He scolded himself mentally for doing such a stupid thing. He just thought she wouldn't take it too seriously, but he was wrong. He had gone too far by ruining her date. He had been angry at the fact that she had a date and that was why he had acted that way. 

When Baekhyun finally found her, he panted as he walked towards her. She had ran away to the park and took a seat on one of the benches.

"There you are" he said as he took a seat next to her. Eunji looked at him with hatred and when Baekhyun saw her eyes, he could tell she had been crying. He didn't why his heart suddenly sank at the sight of it.

"What do you want?! Was I not clear?" she asked her angrily "I could stand all of your stupid pranks Baekhyun, but ruinning my date and embarrassing me in front of Howon oppa is too much! WHY THE HELL DID YOU HAVE TO DO THAT?!"

Baekhyun wanted to say sorry at first, but it somehow annoyed him that she was angry at him for ruinning her date because he didn't understand what was so great about Lee Howon that made her like him. He had to admit that maybe his friends were right. Maybe he did like her and he was jealous. Really jealous.

"Do you like him that much?!" he asked and sounded annoyed. He didn't want to sound mad, but he couldn't help it. Eunji looked at him shocked and then frowned.

"And why do you care?!" she asked him as she couldn't understand his sudden question.

"BECAUSE I LIKE YOU!" he suddenly blurted out and her eyes widened in shock. Baekhyun covered his mouth shocked as he hadn't intended to said that out loud. Eunji blinked her eyes many times as she still couldn't believe her ears. Byun Baekhyun, her worst enemy, had just said he liked her?

"What?!" she asked "Is this another one of your stupid pranks?!"

Baekhyun looked at her and then sighed.

"It's true, ok?" he finally said and she looked at him in disbelief "I like you, that's why I pick on you... and I got jealous because you like that Howon guy"

"You are an idiot" was the only thing Eunji could say, since she was still in shock "And you have a weird way of liking a person"

Baekhyun just looked away and tried to hide his blushed cheeks. 

"And I don't like Howon oppa" she said and he looked at her shocked. What did she just say? Baekhyun was still in disbelief. "I only admire him very much, but that's it"

"So, who do you like?" he suddenly asked but then a smile suddenly a appeared on his face. An evil smile to be more specific "Oh... so you like me?"

Eunji's mouth suddenly dropped open and she blushed slightly. Baekhyun smirked at the sight of this and chuckled.

"I don't like you!" she yelled "I hate you! I hate you for always picking on me and for ruinning this beautiful dress and for always saying that I act like a guy!"

Baekhyun listened to her amused and instead of feeling angry, he just smiled. 

"Say whatever you want, I know you like me too" he said and suddenly leaned closer to her. Eunji's eyes widened in shock as he leaned closer and closer. Her cheeks turned redded and her heart started beating faster. Baekhyun suddenly crashed his lips against hers and kissed her gently. Eunji was shocked at first, but then just closed her eyes and kissed him back. Ok, maybe she liked him too. 

When they finally separated, Baekhyun smirked. She had kissed him back and there was no way she could deny it.

"And for the record, I do think you act like a dude sometimes but I like you anyway..." he said chuckling and Eunji hit his am and he winced in pain. "But you are the prettiest" 

"Idiot" she said, unable to hide her obvious smile. Baekhyun looked at her and just chuckled.

"Just admit you like me too" he said and she looked way, obviously blushed.

"No!" she said and then looked at him once again. He was smiling sweetly at her and she knew she couldn't deny it anymore. Not after she kissed him back "Ok, maybe a little"

Eunji blushed again when she said that and Baekhyun chuckled, before leaning forward and planting another kiss on her lips. Eunji just couldn't explain how she ended up falling for his worst enemy. She just knew she did.
