Title: Unexpected Visitor

Namjoo jumped startled from her seat when a loud thunder rumbled suddenly, so she covered herself with the blanket that was next to her. She was in the living room, watching a movie, but now she could no longer pay attention to it. She looked at the window and her eyes widened slightly when she saw the lightning and the rain pouring heavily outside. She could barely see anything because of the water dripping down the window.

"The storm is getting worse" her brother Joonmyun said as he suddenly appeared in the living room, holding his phone. Namjoo watched as her brother dialed a number and then put his phone next to his ear, with an impatient expression.

"Who are you trying to call oppa?" she asked and Joonmyun sighed

"I've been trying to reach Chorong for the past hour, but the line is dead" he said worried as he tried to call her again. "I'm worried since she is home alone"

He looked out of the window and sighed once again. He was really worried about his girlfriend and the only thing that was keeping him from going to her house was not the terrible storm, but the fact that he didn't want to leave his sister alone.

"Oppa, why don't you go to her house and bring her here so that we can all be together?" Namjoo suggested and Joonmyun turned to look at her

"I was thinking about that too, but I don't want to leave you alone" Joonmyun said worried and Namjoo smiled.

"Hey, I'll be fine! It's not going to take you  more than an hour" she said "Besides, I'm worried about Chorong unnie too"

"Are you sure you are going to be ok?" Joonmyun asked, still worried and reluctant. Namjoo simply giggled

"I'll be fine" she said with a reassuring smile. "I'm not a baby anymore and I'm not afraid of storms"

Joonmyun looked at his sister, still hesitant, and then sighed.

"Ok, I'll be back soon" Joonmyun said as he stood up from his seat and he grabbed a big coat and his umbrella. "Take care and don't open the door to strangers"

"I know that" she said as she rolled her eyes "Just go"

Joonmyun then smiled and waved goodbye to his sister, before walking out of his house. She watched as the door closed and she then turned her attention towards the television once again. When another thunder rumbled outside, she jumped startled once again and then sighed. She told her brother she was not afraid of storms, but maybe that had been a lie. Maybe, she was slightly scared of storms.

The lights of her house suddenly started flickering and her eyes widened slightly. If she had been in a horror movie, that would be a bad sign. But she was not, so she just sighed and hoped the lights wouldn't go off suddenly.

She didn't know how much time passed because she was no longer paying attention to the television, when she heard a sudden knock on the door. Her eyes widened slightly and she turned to look at the door. It couldn't be her brother since he had the keys of the house, so who could it be?

"Joonmyun hyung! are you there?" she heard a familiar voice outside. She inmediately went to the window and peeked outside. Her eyes widened once again when she saw a man standing in the rain, completely soaked. She then gasped surpried.

"Oh my god, Jongdae oppa" she said. It took her a few seconds to realize that the person outside her house was no other than her brother's best friend, Kim Jongdae. She inmediately ran towards the door and opened it. 

"Oh hi there Namjoo" he said with a smile. He was shivering and his teeth were grinding. 

"Come in, oh god you are completely soaked" she said worried as she pulled him inside the house and closed the door inmediately. Jongdae simply smiled and followed her inside, still shivering "What happened to you?"

"My car broke down a few blocks from your house, so I guessed Joonmyun hyung could help me fix it or at least let me stay here until the storm passes" he replied

"I'm sure he won't mind" she said with a smile and he smiled back.  Jongdae then took a seat on the couch as Namjoo went to the bathroom for some towels. When she walked out of the bathroom and saw him there, still shivering, she worriedly sat next to him and started trying to dry him with the towels.

"God you could have caught a cold" she said worried, unaware of how concerned she sounded. "You are freezing"

Jongdae simply smiled as he stared at her. When Namjoo realized that he was staring at her and their eyes met suddenly, she inmediately looked away, slightly blushed and her cheeks started heating up.  Truth to be told, she had always had a crush on him, but to him, she was only his best friend's little sister. At least, that's how she thought he saw her.

"It's nice to have someone to take care of me" he said suddenly as he smiled brightly, making Namjoo blush once again, not being able to look at him in the eyes. "Ever since I moved to my own apartment and live on my own, I have to look after myself. It feels nice to have someone to look after me for once... thanks for that"

"Y-You are welcome" she said nervously and he smiled once again. She swore she could melt at any second if he continued smiling like that. The atmostphere turned awkward suddenly, so she stood up.

"Why don't you go to take a warm bath, while I prepare some hot chocolate for us" she suddenly suggested 

"Sounds good" he said as he stood up.

"You can grab so dry clothes from Joonmyun oppa's room, I'm sure he won't mind" she said and he smiled warmly towards her, before heading towards Joonmyun's room. Namjoo watched him as he left and she sighed as a small blush appeared on her cheeks.

"Get a hold of yourself Kim Namjoo, he is your brother's best friend!" she said to herself as she shook her head and went towards the kitchen. She took a deep breath and shook her head, trying to stop thinking about how cute Jongdae was and how her knees would go weak everytime he smiled towards her.

The lights of the kitchen started flickering as well and she sighed. She really, really hoped that there wouldn't be a blackout suddenly. She didn't know how she would be able to handle the situation if that happened. 

Some minutes later, she heard the door of the bathroom opening and some footsteps after that, so she guessed Jongdae had finished showering. Just on time as Namjoo had finished preparing the hot chocolate. She poured some on two cups and then walked out of the kitchen, carrying them.

Jongdae was now sitting on the couch drying his hair with a towel, wearing an oversized shirt that belonged to Namjoo's brother. She couldn't help but smile when she saw him and she was relieved to see that he was no longer shivering.

"Here" she said as walked towards him and offered him the cup of chocolate. 

"Thanks" he said with a warm smile as he received the cup. Namjoo looked away nervously once again as she sat down next to him. Her only excuse to not look at him in the eyes was her cup of chocolate, that was why she centered all her attention on her drink, unaware of the fact that Jongdae was staring at her with a smile.

"This is really tasty!" Jongdae said excited and Namjoo suddenly felt really happy for the compliment.

"Thanks" she said with a shy smile

"So, where's Joonmyun hyung?" Jongdae asked as they continued drinking their cups of hot chocolate.

"He went to Chorong's unnie house" Namjoo explained

"Oh" he said as he nodded. After that short exchange of words, silence engulfed them once again. The only sound that could be heard was the sound of the rain and the thunders outside. From time to time, Namjoo stole glances at him, but he seemed to be distracted staring blanky at the ceiling.

"You have some foam on your lips" he said suddenly and she was surprised by that, since she thought he wasn't looking. Her cheeks turned red due to the embarrassment as she saw Jongdae smiling towards her and she tried to wipe it inmediately. He then suddenly scooted closer to her and wiped the foam from her lips with his thumb, making her heart skip a beat. She looked down blushed as her heart beated like crazy.

Another loud thunder suddenly rumbled and Namjoo jumped from her seat surprised, startling Jongdae in the process. He then just looked at her and only chuckled.

"Yah! Don't laugh" she said, feeling quite embarrassed.

"I'm sorry" he said, still laughing "You are just too cute"

Namjoo's cheeks turned bright red once again as she looked down. Did he just say she was cute? She still couldn't believe what she was hearing. Jongdae chuckled as he saw Namjoo's cute reaction. 

"Do I make you nervous?" he asked in a playful way and her eyes widened suddenly.

"W-What are you talking about? Of course not!" she said, unable to hide the blush on her face. She stood up from her seat upset as Jongdae simply laughed. But after seeing that Namjoo was really upset by his comment, he inmediately stood up as well.

"I was only joking" he sweetly said as he grabbed her wrist gently to stop her from continuing walking. Namjoo's heart beated faster with the contact and she smiled. 

"I was joking too" she said and he was taken aback at first, but then smiled. They both laughed and then realized his hand was still on her wrist. Namjoo's heart beated faster and wondered why he hadn't pulled his hand away from her wrist when he had clearly noticed it. For a moment, they only stared at each other, without saying anything. 

"I'm back!" the door suddenly opened and Jongdae pulled his hand away inmediately. They both looked at the door and saw a Joonmyun and Chorong, who walked in completely soaked. 

"Hey hyung" Jongdae greeted nervously and Joonmyun tilted his head surprised

"Hey, what are you doing here?" he asked his friend

"My car broke down, I was wondering if I could stay until the storm passes" he said and Joonmyun smiled

"Sure, my house is your house Jongdae" he replied as he patted his shoulder

"Hey Namjoo" Chorong said as she greeted her with a smile and she smiled as well. She had noticed how awkward Jongdae and Namjoo had turned ever since they arrived, so she giggled. "Did we interrupt something?"

"What?" they both said nervously

"What do you mean by interrupt something?" Joonmyun asked confused as he looked at his girlfriend and she simply shook her head as she giggled again.

"Just help me find some dry clothes" she said and then pulled Joonmyun out of the living room, but before they were gone, she winked at Namjoo, who suddenly felt embarrassed that she had noticed what had happened. Once they were alone again, awkwardness could be felt.

Namjoo was about to stand up when the lights suddenly went off. 

"Oh great" she could heard her brother say. As the room was completely dark, she could barely see anything. Now she stood up to go and look for some source of light that could help when she suddenly felt a peck on the cheek. Her eyes widened in surprise and she could swear anyone would be able to see her bright red cheeks despite the darkness.

"Just so you know, I do not only see you as my best friend's little sister" he whispered in her ear and she couldn't help but smile. She totally hated storms, but this one had been quite special to her because an unexpected visitor had come and had brightened her day.
