Title: Swallow Your Pride

"Do you really think this is going to work?" Baekhyun asked his best friend, while they were walking around on campus. Chanyeol only smiled playfully. Baekhyun looked at the music sheet he had in his hands and wondered if it was really a good idea.

"It doesn't matter what you do, Baek. Sing a song, read a poem or anything..." Chanyeol said patting his shoulder "The important thing is that you swallow your pride and ask her to forgive you"

Baekhyun looked at his best friend with hesitation and sighed. He knew he had screwed up, but it was really difficult to him to put away his pride and everyone knew that. 

"At the end it was your fault" Chanyeol continued "How could you think Eunji would cheat on you?!"

Baekhyun clenched his fists as he remembered the reason why he was having so many problems right now. The new kid, Jung Daehyun, seemed to have a huge crush on his girlfriend, but she didn't want to believe it. Eunji started spending more time with Daehyun and he got jealous and he even accused her of cheating on him.

"Well, you can't blame me!" he said angrily "That Daehyun guys is always after her"

Chanyeol only rolled his eyes.

"I know she is stubborn, but she'll come around if you apologize properly" he said and Baekhyun sighed

"I hope so" he said

Eunji was walking around the campus as well and she was still fuming in anger. She still couldn't get over the fact that her boyfriend would think she was cheating on him.

"Stupid Baekhyun!" she said angrily as she clenched her fists

"Eunji ah, are you ok?" Daehyun, who was walking next to her, asked.

"I'm fine!" she said, but it was obvious that she was not. "I just cannot believe he would think I was cheating on him! With you!"

Daehyun only snickered upong hearing that. He had heard a lot of people talking about how he had a crush on her, but the truth was, he didn't. To him, Eunji was a really good friend but it seemed that no one really believed in boys and girls' friendship. He only shook his head as he thought of it.

"Don't worry" he said as he patted her back slightly "If he wants you back, he'll apologize"

Eunji only scoffed and Daehyun looked at her confused. 

"Byun Baekhyun never apologizes about anything!" she said "He is too proud to do it"

"Have some faith Eunji" Daehyun said as he laughed "Love can do anything"

Baekhyun was nervously looking around for Eunji, but couldn't find her. He was on the verge of bitting his nails. He didn't know what to do. Everyone knew he was sometimes to proud and stubborn to apologize, but if it was the only way to get Eunji to forgive him, he would do it.

He took a deep breath as he continued walking around campus with Chanyeol when he suddenly spotted her. At first, his heart jumped in joy. However, when he noticed that he was with Daehyun, he clenched his fists in anger. He was about to walk towards them and yell angrily, when Chanyeol stopped him.

"Don't do anything stupid, Byun Baekhyun" Chanyeol warned him. Baekhyun looked at the couple in front of his and took a deep breath. They weren't doing anything wrong. They were just talking.

"You are right" he said. He took a deep breath once again, before walking towards them. Eunji didn't seem to have noticed that he was in front of them, so he had to cought a little to gain her attention. She looked up suddenly and her eyes widened slightly, but her expression then turned to cold one as he glared at him.

"Eunji, can we talk?" he asked her

"Go away Baekhyun" she said coldly as she pushed him aside and continued walking, ignoring his presence. He sighed,before turning around and grabbing her wrist.

"Please listen to me" he said "Just give me 5 minutes please, no more than that"

"Be quick" Eunji then said as she turned around to face him. She released herself from his grip and crossed her arms in front of her chesr as she looked at him sternly. Baekhyun looked at her and sighed once again.

"You were spending a lot time with that Daehyun guy, so that's why I thought you were..."

"If you are not going to say anything important, I'll just leave" she said angrily. She expected him to say he was sorry, not tell her what she already knew.

Baekhyun wanted to say it, he really did, but the words wouldn't come out. He then remembered Chanyeol's words: 'Swallow your pride and ask her to forgive you'. Yeah, the was the only thing he needed to do. He really didn't want to lose her, so he had to throw away his pride.

"Look Eunji" he said, cupping her face and looking at her directly in the eyes. She was kind of shocked at first and she blushed slightly, but she couldn't let her feelings stop him from apologizing. "I'm sorry, I really am. I'm sorry for saying things I didn't mean. I swear I would never think you would cheat on me. I was just jealous, that's why I reacted like that"

Eunji was really surprised to hear him say that. He wasn't a person who would normally apologize and he did, so it meant she was really important to him. She smiled suddenly and Baekhyun couldn't help but smile as well. Eunji suddenly hugged him and he was startled, but very happy indeed.

Chanyeol and Daehyun, who had been watching the whole scene, couldn't help but get excited about it. They really looked like fanboys and the couple couldn't help but just laugh at them.

"I love you Eunji ah" he said he kissed her forehead gently. She blushed and smiled at him. "I swear I won't let my jealousy or my pride get on the way again"

She only giggled and then smiled once again.

"I love you too" she said "And I really hope you keep your word about that"

Baekhyun just chuckled as he hugged her even tighter. He really meant it. He wasn't going to let anything get on their way, not even his  own pride.
