"I'll be there soon" the blonde guy said over the phone "The train was delayed due to the storm, but I'll be there in no time"

He hung up and sighed. He he had been sitting on a bench in the train station for a two hours now and they had just announced that his train would be delayed at least one more hour.

"It's a just a little bit snow! It's not such a big deal!" he complained to himself. He was there, stranded in a train station, while all his friends were in Seoul, enjoying themselves. He was really upset about it. He then looked out and realized he could barely see anything due to the terrible storm. Ok, maybe it wasn't just a bit of snow.

He sighed once again, before sitting comfortably on the bench and taking out his book. He opened it on the page he left it the previous time he read, and started reading it.

He didn't realize how much time had passed by because he was too inmersed in his book. He only looked up when he heard some footsteps near the place he was sitting and saw a beautiful girl with brown locks. She walked past him and suddenly sat next to him.

Curiosity won over him, so he decided to look her way. When she noticed he was staring, she smiled and that make him look away inmediately. She had caught him staring at her and he was feeling really embarrassed.

"Your train was delayed too?" she suddenly asked and he looked her way once again, before nodding.

"Yeah" he replied and she smiled once again.

"Where were you heading to?" she asked him

"Seoul" he replied

"Me too" she said and smiled. He didn't understand how she could be in a such a good mood despite the weather and the fact that her train was delayed. She seemed like a really cheerful person and she was starting to brighten up his mood, without even trying.

"My name is Wu Yifan, but people like to call me Kris" he said, introducing himself suddenly. He sounded a little bit serious, but still, polite. It took her by surprise at first, but she then smiled and shook his hand.

"Jung Hyerim" she replied "But I like to be called Eunji"

Kris couldn't help but smile at her little comment and she smiled as well. They were just two strangers who had just met, but Kris felt rather comfortable talking to her.

The two of them sat there quietly for a while, until they heard someone on the speaker say that all the trips scheduled for the day were cancelled due to the storm. Eunji sighed and Kris groaned annoyed. He guessed he wasn't going to be on time for the meeting with his friends.

"This can't be true" Kris complained once again

"I guess we'll have to wait until tomorrow" Eunji said and sighed once again. Kris looked at her and noticed how even annoyed, she didn't seem to have lost her cheerful self. Kris still couldn't fathom her, but still, he found her really amusing.

It was starting to get colder inside the train station. He could even seen foam forming in the air everytime he spoke. Eunji rubbed her hands together to keep herself warmer, but it wasn't helping much. Kris noticed this and realized they couldn't stay there the whole night, or else they would both freeze to death.

"Should we go and get some coffee?" he suggested and her face seemed to have lightened up.

"Yes, or else I'll freeze here" she said and he couldn't help but chuckle. They both stood up and walked towards the café near the station. They were lucky there was one. As expected, it was crowded, but at least, it was warmer than outside. They walked in and after a some minutes waiting, they finally found an empty table.

"What would like to order?" the waiter asked

"A cappuccino for me, please" Eunji said with a smile

"Americano" Kris simply replied "Black, please"

After the waiter took the orders and left, Eunji made a disgusted expression to Kris, who looked at her amused.

"How can you drink that?" she asked as she scrunched her nose. Kris smiled.

"I don't like sweet coffee" he said "Coffee is supposed to be bitter, not sweet"

"Why doesn't it surprise me that you like black coffee?" she said and he smiled once again.

While waiting for their order to arrive, the two of them continued chatting a lot of things and Kris found himself talking a lot more than he usually did. He was usually really cold towards strangers, but somehow, she was different. She was just stranger he met about an hour ago and yet, he felt as if he knew her for a long time.

"So what do you do for a living?" she asked him, while stirring her cup of cappuccino.

"I'm a student" he replied as he took a sip of his coffee "I attend Seoul University"

Eunji's eyes widened suddenly, but then she just chuckled. Kris suddenly frowned because he was unable to comprehend why she was suddenly laughing.

"What?" he asked, slightly confused and a little bit annoyed that she was laughing at him.

"Nothing. It's just that... I attend Seoul University too" she said and Kris' jaw dropped in surprise. "What a coincidence"

"What? How come I haven't seen you before?" he asked, still shocked.

"I don't know" she said "Maybe we've seen each other, but we don't remember"

"I don't think so, you are hard to forget" he wasn't supposed to say that aloud, but it accidentally slipped out of his mouth. When he realized what he had just say, he looked away embarrassed. Eunji was surprised by this and it drew another smile on her face.

While Kris continued mentally scolding himself for saying that, Eunji looked out of the window.

"Look!" she suddenly said excited and he looked up startled. He followed the direction of her finger and saw that the storm had finally passed and now it was simply snowing. Snowflakes were slowly falling to the ground, giving the place a beautiful view.

"Can we go outside?" she asked like a little kid, seeing snow for the first time.

"Weren't you cold?" he asked amused

"Please?" she said with puppy eyes and he chuckled

"Fine, let's go" he said and she jumped off her seat. He looked at his watch and noticed that there were still some hours before his train arrived, so it wouldn't kill himself to go outside for a while. They both paid for their coffee and walked outside.

It was cold, but not as cold as it was a few hours ago. Kris looked up and caught a snowflake in his hands. It inmediately melted in his gloves and he smiled. He then turned to look at Eunji, who was playing with the snow like a little kid and another smile appeared on his face.

He somehow forgot he had been mad about not being able to go back to Seoul on time and that it was a stranger that had brightened up his mood. Eunji was an interesting girl indeed and Kris still couldn't fathom her, but he was going to make sure to see her in the university more often.
