Chapter 53: She finally wakes up

Kyungmi’s POV

Darkness, that's all I could see. Maybe even feel. Never ending darkness that threatens to swallow me whole. Honestly speaking, I'm afraid of this feeling. Well… that’s what I’m expecting to feel when it's all dark. But instead, this darkness gives me a comforting feeling. It’s like I found an internal peace within me. Then IO was suddenly transported to a magical place. The grass is green, flowers are blooming, birds are chirping, basically it’s like heaven. I could feel myself running and running then after I got tired, I layed on the soft grass. It’s like laying on the clouds where I could float freely and not worry about a single thing.

Everything’s perfect…

NOT!

Then it all suddenly disappeared. Courtesy of the events happening around me (translation: annoying noise. May I repeat, ANNOYING NOISE!). So much for internal peace.

Do you ever get the feeling of being numb yet you’re kind of aware of what’s happening around you? Or how about the feeling that you just want to sleep yet it’s too noisy for your liking? If your answer is both then I’d say congratulations! You know how it feels like to be me. But seriously, it’s too noisy.

“Kyungmi? Kyyyyyuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnngggggggggmmmmmmmmiiiiiiii!!!!!!”

“I think she’s awake!”

“Hush! You’re going to wake her up!!!”

“Are we going to let her sleep??? I thought we wanted her to wake up?”

“Stupid.”

“Hey! I’m offended”

“No you’re not”

“Yes I am!”

“Shut up!!!”

Slowly, I tried opening my eyes and at first, all I can see is white. Then…

“KYUNGMI!!!”

Author’s POV

As Kyungmi is having some sort of day dreaming, here is what’s happening to our beloved Infinite and IU.

L’s POV

“Kyungmi? Kyyyyyuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggmmmmmmmmmmiiiiiii!!!!!”

I could feel a vein popping on my forehead. At the same time, I could feel my hand automatically wanting to swat Sungyeol hyung’s head. I mean, seriously?! Couldn’t they get the idea that we aren’t allowed to be noisy? I think there’s also a sign saying that in about eight languages. Seeing my hyungs act so jolly and outgoing as if there’s nothing wrong kind of annoys me. I think it’s actually better if it’s only me in the room. At least it would be quiet. Then suddenly, I could feel a hand on my shoulder. I craned my head to see whose hand it belongs to and saw Woohyun hyung’s.

He was smiling in a comforting way but it was also strained. And seeing him smile, I understood what he was trying to say… I think? Looking around, the atmosphere wasn’t like it’s supposed to be. I actually got blinded by my worry and selfish thinking. How could I not see that they’re all worried? That they- no, we- have different ways in trying to cope up.

“I think she’s awake!” I suddenly heard Hoya hyung shout. Everyone and I mean everyone including me suddenly rushed to her. We were all staring at her intently and we saw her forefinger on her left hand twitch. Everyone was shaking in anticipation. Sungyeol hyung was about to shout when Sungjong decided to cover his mouth with the use of his hands.

“Hush! You’re going to wake her up!!!”

Sungyeol hyung looked confused. “Var ne foing choo jet ter schweep? I twout vweeyy ghwahngtred jer fo hare lap?”

Sungjong immediately removed his hands and wiped it on Sungyeol hyung’s shirt. “Eeeeewwww! What were you trying to say?”

Sungyeol hyung took this as a cue to speak.

“Are we going to let her sleep? I thought we wanted her to wake up?”

“Stupid.” Dongwoo hyung said.

“Hey! I’m offended” Sungyeol hyung said.

“No you’re not!”

“Yes I am!”

Finally, it seems like Sunggyu hyung have had enough. “Shut up!!!” he said. Or more like commanded.

I immediately got tired of seeing the commotion since it’s just Sunggyu hyung trying to break up the fight with a—wait, isn’t that a French bread? Where on bloody earth did he get that from? And… huh? Now he’s throwing different types of bread. German bread, American bread, Croissant, Pan au algae, butter roll, and others. Sungyeol hyung and Dongwoo hyung are… I’m not really sure what to make of their expression.

Shaking my head, I focused my attention on Kyungmi and saw that her eyes are already open. She was staring at me. I blinked once, twice, thrice and then stared at her again.

“Hey” I said lamely.

She was about to speak when suddenly Sungjoo shouted, “She’s awake!” Everyone stared at her and as if they rehearse this for a thousand times, they shouted with synchronization, “KYUNGMI!”

SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S BEEN TOO LONG. BUT I FINALLY UPDATED. I recently realized that I have a very different meaning when it comes to words. That, and I shall make my own dictionary! Anyway, here's the chapter I promised you guys... even though it's delayed. Sooooooo..... Am I forgiven?

Again, I'm sorry and I feel really guilty. I've been breaking my promise to you guys. And I'd just like to say thank you for sticking with this crazy, deranged author. Hopefully, I could update whenever I use the computer.

Just a tidbit info about my life: I've ranked 2 in our class! Though the difference between me and the top 1 is only by decimal points. And now I'm feeling inspired and sad at the same time. Sad because they might place me in another section away from my friend. Inspired because it means that I should do better and not cram (ALL) my assignments and project all the time. 

Sorry for breaking my promise but this actually proves that all my sacrifices and efforts pay. BIG TIME!!!

If any of you have some questions to ask then I'd like all of you to know that I'd answer it all truthfully. Unless it's something confidential then I believe that I can't.
