Going home
Our World (Sequel to I'm Different)Haneul’s POV
“Where were you for three days? No calls, no contact whatsoever.” Ahjumma said, smacking my while I was relaxing on the couch.
“Don’t hit me!” I groaned.
“Move your ! Lazy bum! Occupying the whole couch like a starfish.” She commented as she literally pushed half my body off the couch and then settled herself down.
“Starfish~” I laughed, rolling off the couch.
“Hey! Be careful there!” She laughed, pulling me up.
“You look happy.” She said.
“I am.” I smiled.
“Everything going well with Junhyung and you?” She asked.
I shrugged my shoulders.
“What is that supposed to mean!?” She imitated my shoulder shrug.
“A dislocated shoulder!” I laughed at her failed attempt.
“Who dislocated their shoulder?” Jace asked as he strolled over lazily.
“Ahjumma.” I said, pointing at her.
“Are you serious!? Oh gosh what did you do!? Have you been to the doctor yet!?” He asked worriedly.
“Calm down, Jace! You annoying girl!” Ahjumma grabbed my face and squashed my cheeks.
“It’s not funny, Haneul!” Jace frowned, stomping off into the kitchen.
“What’s wrong with him?” I asked Ahjumma.
“No idea. He’s been in a down mood since two days ago.” Ahjumma said.
I got up and went to the kitchen.
“You okay?” I asked.
“Yea.” He mumbled as he tried to spread peanut butter on bread but it would not spread smoothly.
“Sure?” I asked.
“Yes. Spread, damn it.” He grumbled.
“Let me do it.” I said, taking the bread from him.
“You can’t lie to me, Jace.” I said, spreading the peanut butter, but it sure was stubborn.
“I’m just feeling moody, okay?” He said, sitting on the counter top.
“Of course. So what can I do to cheer my best friend up?” I asked, getting a little irritated with the peanut butter.
“Nothing.” He said.
“ARE YOU PEANUT BUTTER OR ROCK?!” I got angry and yelled at the bread.
He burst into laughter as thou it was the funniest thing he ever heard.
“What are you laughing at!?” I glared at him.
“You.” He said, poking my cheek.
“Does it make you happy?” I asked.
He nodded.
“Fine. Laugh.” I said, laughing as well.
We ended up dipping bits of bread into peanut butter and then eat it instead of spreading it like a sandwich.
“It’s nicer this way.” I said.
“Yea, why didn’t we think of eating like that before?” He asked.
“No idea. Because you’re dumb or something.” I said.
“I’m dumb!?” He asked, food spitting everywhere.
“EWWW!! You’re gross!!” I laughed.
We continued poking fun of each other until he stared at me with wide eyes.
“What?” I asked.
He showed me the peanut butter jar; it was empty.
“Uh oh.” I mumbled.
Then we started laughing.
***
“Mommy, I miss you!” Ji Eun pouted as she snuggled up against me.
“I miss you too.” I said, kissing her forehead.
“When are we going home?” Tae Hyun asked.
I looked at him, smoothing his hair.
“I want to go home.” Ji Eun pouted.
“Come here.” I said, opening my arms, inviting both of them into my embrace.
Junhyung’s POV
“Not going home?” A voice asked.
I dropped my pen in shock, and then turned to look at whoever the person was.
“Ahh hyung! You shocked me!” I frowned.
“Haha~ You were so engrossed you didn’t even realize my loud entrance.” He said, taking a seat next to me.
“I was concentrating! Now, everything is gone!” I whined.
He laughed and pinched my cheek.
“Stop doing that! I’m not a puppy!” I said, pretending to get offended.
“You are a puppy! Look at that face! Aigoo~” He said, squashing my cheeks.
“Whatever~ Whatever~” I pushed his hands off me.
“Want to go for a drink?” He asked.
I shook my head. As tempting as it sounds, I could not afford to return to the place full of clubs and bars again.
“Yong Junhyung refusing alcohol? Really?” He asked.
“Laugh for all I care.” I said.
“Laugh at you? I envy you, stupid!” He said.
“Envy?” I asked.
“Yea. To have someone to give up something for, it’s envious.” He said.
“Someone?” I asked.
“Haneul.” He said.
I smiled and nodded. I miss her.
“I’m going home.” I said, switching off the computers and other equipments.
“Going home? But I thought Yong Junhyung never leaves with something undone?” He asked.
“Yea, but you mentioned her name. Yong Junhyung need to go home to see his wife now.” I smiled.
He cringed and kicked me.
“GO AWAY!!! GO!!!!” He yelled.
“Bye, hyung.” I laughed as I headed out.
***
“LIONNY!!!! I AM HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” I shouted as soon as I got into the house.
“Me too!” A voice said, and then I felt someone hug me from behind.
