'' Actually... I...I got fired today '' Sanghyun revealed. 

'' WHAT?! '' Dara shouted as she threw her bag on the couch and walked towards her brother '' Why? What happened? What did you do? Why would they fire you? '' She bombarded him with questions. Jiyong, however, stayed rooted in his place, heart beating fast, and his mind already telling him that this wasn't a coincidence. 

'' I don't actually understand... I never made a mistake and I was one of the best employers over there and maybe one of the few people who always worked overtime... I thought I was getting a promotion yet the told me that I am fired '' Sanghyun explained, his hand clutching his hair '' They said that the company was going through some financial problems and they had to let go of some people... Including me '' He added then let out a deep sigh and threw his head back '' This is a disaster, noona '' He whispered and Dara immediately went to hug her brother.

'' It's okay. With your experience and intelligence, you'll be able to find a new job immediately '' She assured him '' This is not the end '' She continued. 

'' But I have the car loan, noona, the bank won't wait and you know it. I have to find a new job in the next couple of days to avoid getting in trouble '' He shared and both siblings frowned. 

Jiyong was looking at them with his brows knitted as well. He was about to say something when his phone vibrated indicating a message. He checked what it was and instantly, his blood rushed to his feet and his face turned pale. 

'' Park Sanghyun... done... You've got only three weeks left, Kwon ''

Jiyong swallowed hard. It was all because of him. Mr.Lee was the reason behind Sanghyun's dismissal. Things were started to get out of hand. 

'' Come work with me '' Jiyong suddenly announced making Sanghyun and Dara look up at him. 

'' What? '' 

'' Come work with me, you won't be able to find a new job so fast, you'll need to wait at least for two weeks to schedule an interview and I'm sure the payment won't reach the one I'll give you '' He suggested.  

'' I can't accept it, hyung '' Sanghyun rejected shaking his head.

'' Don't say that... It's my... '' He was about to say that it was his fault but he stopped at the last second '' We're going to be a family soon... This is the least I can do '' He added and Dara smiled at his words. 

'' But... '' 

'' No but! Here, what about this? You can work for me and at the same time look for another job if you don't feel comfortable you can leave whenever you want '' He explained. 

'' I don't really know what to say '' Sanghyun commented with a sigh '' I guess this is the best I can find now '' He continued and Jiyong smiled nodding '' Okay '' 

'' Welcome to Kwon Enterprises '' He announced and offered his hand but Sanghyun ignored it and hugged him instead.

'' Thank you so much, hyung '' and that moment Jiyong felt even guiltier. It was because of him that he got fired in the first place yet he decided to keep the information to himself. 

After the new revelation, Dara headed to the kitchen to make breakfast while Jiyong and her brother stayed in the living room talking about what Sanghyun should do. After a while, Jiyong joined Dara in the kitchen and he smiled when he saw how she was busily making pancakes. He walked towards her and wrapped his hands around her waist from behind and kissed the top of her shoulder. She smiled and leaned back on him, hands still mixing the batter. 

'' I'm making an American breakfast, is that okay? '' She asked as he hummed in response. 

'' You know that I love you so much, right? '' He suddenly reminded and although Sandara was beyond happy hearing those words coming from him, she still couldn't shake the bad feeling she was having since the previous night.

'' Of course, I do. And I love you too '' She confessed back and felt him hug her tighter. 

'' I'll do whatever it takes to keep this... Keep us '' He whispered and Dara wanted more than anything to ask him what was wrong but the moment she opened , Seungjae walked into the kitchen.

Two days passed and things only got worse. Jiyong was frantic looking for Min Suk yet it was like he never existed and that drove him crazy. He fired the rest of his legal team and looked day and night to find something that may help him but nothing came up. Whatever they did, it was perfectly done and Jiyong was cursing himself day and night for his stupidity. 

'' How could you sign the contract without checking everything that was written on it?! '' Sang Hyun yelled frustrated once Jiyong told him of what happened. 

'' That was not the contract they first handed me. The days before, I had another contract and I trusted what Mr.Kwon said so I just blindly signed. I ing signed! '' He cursed as he drank his whiskey glass in one go. After what happened, he was refusing to acknowledge his father even by saying his name.

'' There must be something we can do '' Youngbae interrupted but Jiyong shook his head. 

'' There's nothing... For the last few days, I've been looking through everything and I found nothing... I'm ed '' He shared '' But no matter what, I won't ever marry Joo Yeon or do what they want... I don't care if I lost the company or the money or even if I'll go to jail... I won't give in, there must be something '' He said with determination.

'' But what if Mr.Lee did something after the deadline he gave you? What if he'll do something harmful to Dara? '' Seunghyun asked.

'' I'll protect her. I won't let him do anything to her. '' He
