'' I really, really miss you " 

Dara stared at him with wide eyes at first then, he was able to see the pain in her eyes before she stood suddenly. 

'' Just go to sleep '' She ordered coldly and was about to walk away but Jiyong quickly held her hand and stopped her. 

'' Dara... Please... Just listen to me '' He pleaded but Dara shook her head and pushed his hand away.

'' Jiyong, don't make me kick you out at this hour. There's nothing to talk about. Nothing, so just let us spend this night calmly '' She stated and walked away and out of the room before he could stop her again. 

But Jiyong wasn't going to stop. He needed to talk to her. Why then? Because he was able to see something of the old Dara when she was taking care of him. He immediately followed her while being bare-chested and barefooted. She was walking down the stairs.

'' Dara '' He called but she didn't stop and although he was sick and tired, he was still faster than her and he caught her hand when they reached the downstairs. '' Dara... Please '' He pleaded and Dara closed her eyes before she turned and pushed him away. 

'' What? What is there to talk about, Jiyong? Huh? After all this time you want to talk? About what? You were so clear the last time we talked and I got you very clearly so there's nothing to talk about... I don't know what game you're playing right now but I don't want to be a part of it, okay? I want to live my life away from you '' She yelled and Jiyong was pleading her with his eyes. '' I've had enough, Jiyong. I don't want to be hurt again... I can't let myself be hurt again. I don't know why are you being like this suddenly but please, whatever you're doing, just stop it... '' She said '' Don't make me hate you more '' She added and Jiyong closed her eyes.

'' Just... Please... Please listen to me '' He insisted and tried to reach her but she pushed him away but he instantly groaned in pain and held his abdomen. 

Dara looked at him with wide eyes then she bit her lips as she felt guilty. He was sick. She approached him and held his shoulder as he closed his eyes to ease the pain.

'' Are you okay? Huh? Are you in pain? '' She asked and as soon as Jiyong noticed her concern he decided to play along maybe it could be to his advantage. 

'' It hurts '' He said and let out an exaggerated groan. 

'' Go and sit " She stated and tried to step away but he held on her as he started walking and she found herself walking with him. '' Do you need anything? '' She asked after he sat and before he answered, he forced her to sit next to him.

'' I need to talk to you '' He repeated and Dara sighed and was about to stand but he held her back and tight '' I lied, Dara. I lied '' He suddenly said and she looked at him confused.

'' What? '' 

'' I loved you, Dara... I loved you and I still love you... None of it was an act '' He revealed and she looked at him then she chuckled '' I was forced to leave you " He continued and without waiting for him to say more, Dara stood.

'' Just cut the crap, Jiyong. At least if you don't respect me, respect your wife '' She told him and Jiyong sighed. 

'' She's not my wife '' He confessed and Dara closed her eyes as she was frustrated with him.

'' At least give me a believable lie '' She said and Jiyong stood in front of her. 

'' I swear to God, Dara. I am saying the truth. Yes, we got married but only on papers. She's not my wife, I've never touched her and I never will '' He revealed and she huffed and rolled her eyes.

'' I don't care about your life, Jiyong '' She muttered and then walked away.

'' They tried to kill you " He confessed before she leaves and she stopped in her tracks and turned to face him.

'' What are you saying? '' She asked as she was confused. When did it happen and how?

'' When we were in London. Joo Yeon's father was threatening me all the time, that's why we went there in the first place. I was running away because I was afraid he would do something to you. I thought I was protecting you but I was wrong. That day when Chaerin was leaving and you nearly had an accident. It was him. I saw his men stepping out of the car that almost hit you. I lost my mind, my hands were tied and then when I reached the guy that could help me, he killed him too. I was too weak and helpless. I didn't know and I couldn't protect you. The only way for him to leave you alone was if I married Joo Yeon, that's why I did what I did '' He confessed and Dara was frowning the entire time. Then, she shook her head.

'' How long did you spend making up this lie, Jiyong? Huh? '' She asked and Jiyong's heart contracted in pain. She didn't believe him and that's what he was most afraid of '' Just go to sleep and leave the next morning '' She added and walked to the stairs but Jiyong wasn't giving up. He ran to her and stopped her. 

'' I swear to God, Dara... I'm saying the truth, please " He pleaded and for the nth time that night, Dara pushed him but that time she didn't care if she hurt him or not because she too was hurting and frustrated. 

'' Then why didn't you tell me? Why did you keep your mouth shut all this time? I was with you all the time and I kept asking if there's something I didn't know but you kept your mouth shut. '' She yelled and without noticing, a tear skipped her eyes '' We could have done something. We could have found a way to fix it but you decided to take the easy way because you're weak. Inst
