As Jiyong drove back to his father's house, he couldn't stop thinking about that Jaejoong guy. He didn't like his aura even though he knew that he was only Dara's brother-in-law. But these thoughts escaped his mind as he approached their house. He hated it whenever his father ordered him to come home because he always had some ty things to say.
After entering the mansion, he was met with two maids who immediately bowed to greet him.
'' Where's my father? '' He asked looking around.
'' He's in the garden having a coffee '' One of them replied and Jiyong nodded.
'' Is his wife here? '' He questioned hoping to God she wasn't there.
'' No, she left in the morning for Mrs.Jung's charity event '' The other maid answered and Jiyong felt a little better then he started walking to the direction of their garden.
As he stepped out, he found his father sitting near the table sipping on his coffee with a book in his hand. But as soon as Mr.Kwon saw Jiyong, he put down the book and took off his glasses. Jiyong bowed down then walked and took the seat facing his father.
'' How are you, father? '' Jiyong asked.
'' I'm better '' The older man answered and his son only nodded '' I heard you were in Jeju this weekend '' He added and in an instant Jiyong had an idea about why his father asked him to come and he wasn't liking it.
'' Yeah, I just wanted to have some time off '' Jiyong replied and leaned back on his chair.
'' You didn't do that for years now and you certainly didn't take any female company with you before '' His father said calmly '' But suddenly, you decided to leave your work and go and spend a few days with Dr.Park '' He added and Jiyong clenched his jaw and his expression hardened.
'' Are you stalking me? '' He asked '' Or has certain someone came and blabbered to you? '' He continued raising an eyebrow.
'' You're a smart young man, Jiyong '' His father said with a smirk '' That's why I'm expecting you to know what is best for you and for our family '' He added and Jiyong was trying hard to control his anger.
'' I'm not marrying Joo Yeon, dad '' Jiyong declared and his father looked at him for a moment before he sighed.
'' I am sorry but you have no say in this '' His father fired back not sounding a little bit sorry.
'' But this is my life '' Jiyong argued back.
'' Yes, but you are a Kwon and you are the sole heir of everything we have and I won't let you ruin it by marrying a doctor '' His father said calmly yet it sent shivers down Jiyong's spine '' Ever since you were young, you knew of all your responsibilities. I let you play around and have fun while you were younger but that's it. Ever since you stepped in as the CEO and until you hand it over to your kids, you should think twice about what you do. This is not about what you want anymore it's about what is best for you and our companies. You're only allowed to use your brain not your heart because it will only make you weak. I won't let you ruin what our family had worked hard to build for years just because of some stupid emotions. Marrying Lee Joo Yeon won't only make our company stronger and higher but it will also strengthen your social status '' Mr.Kwon said firmly and Jiyong only looked at him feeling more resentful than ever yet he couldn't hide the hurt he felt as he listened to his father.
'' Is that what you were thinking while you were marrying my mother? '' Jiyong suddenly asked and Mr.Kwon was taken aback.
'' What? ''
'' Have you ever loved her or was it always just business to you? '' He insisted as he looked intensely into his father's eyes and just before he could answer Jiyong let out a mocking smile and looked down trying to hide the pain he was feeling '' Of course, you didn't love her. Because if you did, you would have been by her side when she needed you the most '' He added as he stood '' You didn't care about her and now you certainly don't care about me. But I am not letting you do that. I'm not marrying Joo Yeon and that's the end of the discussion. You can control my work however you want but I won't let you control my personal life '' He said bitterly and then bowed and hurried out despite his father calling him.
As soon as Jiyong got inside his car, he let out a breath he didn't know he was holding and leaned his head on the steering wheel. Since he was young, he came to the realization that his father didn't love his mother but he always thought that maybe just maybe they shared something while they first got married or something but after hearing his father he was damn sure that the man didn't love anything but his companies and his money.
Everything was starting to be too much for Jiyong but he was refusing to give up. Dara was worth fighting for and he would even give up everything if that meant having her by his side for the rest of their lives. She had that much of an effect on him. He never felt anything that powerful toward anyone before her. She was the only one that made his heart skip a beat. She was the only one that made him feel extremely happy with just a smile of her. She was the only one that he felt like himself with her and that he didn't have to pretend around her. She was the only one he felt comfortable letting his guards down and sharing his secrets with.
And he was not ready to let go of her.
He couldn't let go of her. He lost her for ten years and that made him feel like dying. He couldn't lose her again especially now after he saw how much she loved him and after he tasted what her love is like. No matter how much it will take, no matter how hard it would get, he was not letting go of her.

After the failed meeting with his father, Jiyong finally went to work. He wasn't really in the mood for working but he had to. He couldn't slack off especially now with everything that is happening, if anything, he needed to prove to his father and everyone else that he can make his company stronger and better without t
