I walked out and found him at my kitchen counter unpacking the things he brought.

" you don't have any plates ?" he looked at me surprised and curiously. 

" I didn't have any time to buy things yet" I looked down on the floor as his gaze made my heart beat too fast.

" It's fine I guess we need to eat out the box" he laughingly said making me feel a bit more comfortable. 

We sat down on the kitchen counter opposite of each other and started eating and it was silence. 

"Thank you for the food," I said to him and avoiding eye contact. Once again I had so many questions on his disappearance but I just kept quiet. 

"  I am sorry Mayling" him calling my full name made my heart heavy and I looked at his face. His face has no expression. 

" I was in Japan and very busy that's why I wasn't able to text you" 

" It's okay I was very busy too, moving and all" I replied to him without even thinking about my response. 

" I bought you something" he opened his bag and pulled out a paper box and opened it in front of me. It was a hand-sized red round doll.

He smiled at me " I got this in Japan. Do you know what this is?" 

" I don't know, I have never seen before"

" It is a Daruma Doll, you are supposed to make a wish and then you draw in one eye and once you have archived that goal or wish then you draw in the other eye," he said and looked at me seriously and handed me a black pen and said " Try it now"

I didn't know what to wish and he was totally pressuring me. So I took the pen he was pointing at me made my wish. My wish was to have a real and serious relationship that makes the other person and me truly happy. I know it is cheesy but it was the best thing I could think of at the moment. 

I proceed to draw one eye onto my Daruma Doll. 

" Done," I said smiling to him

"What did you wish "

" I won't tell you haha," I said teasing him and hoping he would not ask me again.

" I got another present and I think you might like this one more. This is Japanese plum wine" he said laughing while pulling out a large dark bottle and placing it on the table. I smiled at him and was speechless. Did I look lik
