Nothing Lasts
Private Library - Do I need you?[Mayling Prologue]
Crying and walking to the parking lot. I saw his black SUV driving onto the main road.
I had no more strength to call out for him.
I sat down on a bench facing towards the cliffs. The sunset already and it was dark. Only a few laps were around.
One day I will look back at this moment. The moment I almost got engaged but I ed it all up.
Isn't it amazing how one small action can determine the course of your life? It is such a strange feeling to be so helpless. The feeling of having everything you’re used to has been ripped away. Like there’s no more gravity, and I’m left to drift in outer space with no idea where I’m going. I don't know what I should be doing to make things right.
I have still had a thought grip around the small box and tears were running nonstop.
" Hey" I heard his voice.
I turned to see watch him sit down next to me.
I placed my head on his shoulder and we remained silent.
I had more tears running down my face. Tears of happiness. Knowing he came back for me meant that he still cared.
Not saying that I deserve it but it just felt too good. Not to be alone.
" I just hope you remember, that we sat here like this," I said softly interrupting the sound of the waves.
" what will happen after we get up from this bench?" he asked me and I didn't know what to say to him.
I didn't know what he wants at this point.
" We can choose to walk the same way or separate ways" I replied to him.
" If we walked the same we would we be happy?" he asked and I wanted to smile.
" I would be happy, I don't know about you"
" I would want to try again," he said and I looked at him.
he kissed my forehead and got up.
Reaching out his hand.
"What happened to your knee," he asked and looked at me concerned.
" I feel," I said softly
" Let's go home," he said
" Seoul??" I asked him because I didn't want him to take such a far drive
