**Author Note** I can't believe I have written over 80k words already thats equivalent to a Ph.D. thesis. So I would consider myself a Ph.D. in Fanfiction.

[ Mayling Prologue ]

End of the day was approaching and I thought to myself to leave a bit early to avoid running into the Birthday Boy on the parking lot. 

Or in general anyone. 

Heading down on the elevator. I checked for a clear coast and walked to my car.

Sitting down.

Closing my eyes for a moment and taking a deep breath.

I felt relieved. 

" KNOCK" I heard a loud sound that banged against the window of my car.

Surprised and shocked and flinched and looked out.

 He had a plain expression and looked at me. 

He walked around to the passenger seat and opened the car door.

Taking a seat. 

" What do you want?" I asked him and an annoyed tone.

" What does that mean?" Jungkook dropped the bracelet on my lap.

I didn't know what to reply to him.

" My birthday present for you, don't you like it? It was expensive" I said in a slightly stuck up tone.

" Funny" he scoffed.

" I know I am, how long are you going to be sitting in my car?"

 " Until you take mt somewhere nice"

" And where does the gentleman like to go?" I kept my sarcastic tone.

He took out his phone and showed me a map.

Taking another deep breath. I drove off.

The ride was quiet and the air was thick.

Upon reaching he got out first and I found parking.

I was very hesitant to enter.

But I was curious.

I entered the Japanese style restaurant and the staff leads me to a room. 

It was loud.  

Taking off my heels I enter tatami room (those Japanese dinner rooms where you sit on the floor). 

As I enter a lot of heads turn.

Too many familiar faces, I thought to myself.

Noticing I was frozen.

" Come take a seat" Namjoon called and I nodded.

I walked over to the row of empty seats and sat down next to Namjoon and across Jungkook. 

Trying to sit on the floor with a tight dress did not make it easy.

He looked at me and was probably questioning why I am not sitting next to him.

Or that's at least what I wish to think.

I took the menu and ordered some food.

The wooden slide door opens again and it was the TXT boys popping their heads in.

Greeting everyone and wishing happy birthday to Jungkook again they make the way into the small room.

Ofc Soobin took a seat next to me.

I scooted over and tried to pull the hem of my dress down. 

He looked at me for a moment and glanced away quickly.

I tried to ignore the situation and looked at the cup of water in front of me.

Suddenly I could feel a soft fabric on my lap. 

It was his hands placing his sweater on my lap. 

I looked at him but he didn't look at me.

I quickly grabbed it and covered my legs.

" Thank you" I leaned towards him and whispered.

I could feel Jungkook eye us.

He made eye contact with me but when back talking to the people around us.

Moments later more people came in. 

and it was a familiar face.

and I started to regret coming here.

My phone vibrated and a lifted up my phone.

" long time no see," said the message by Mark (GOT7)

" We have been busy I guess" I replied per text/

" I am sure about that" He replied and I felt a bit scared.

He was friends with them. 

What if he knew about Jungkook and me.

I looked around the table.

" Everything okay?" Namjoon asked me.

" I am the only girl" I replied as there were almost 20 guys on the table.

" oh yeah..." he looked around and noticed.

" he could have asked Sana along" I hissed under my breath. 

and speak of the devil. 

the door opens again. 

Just to see 2 extremely overdressed girls walk in. 

" Happy Birthday Oppaaa" the fake blonde one shouts out and hops next to Jungkook. Taking a seat.

" Well there you have her" Namjoon said and I could feel myself gag on my drink.
