[ Mayling Prologue ]

" Lunch," the familiar voice said and pops his head in.

" Tae?" I looked confused because what on heavens earth does he want now?

" Uh... sure?" I said and he disappeared.

I grabbed my bag and followed him out of the building. He was walking fast and ahead of me.

He cut into a small alley and entered a small restaurant. A store I never knew existed even tho I have been working here almost a year.

It was local and cozy.

He sat down on a large table and I joined him.

" Are we expecting anyone else?" 

" Tentatively no" he replied and I was just praying that Jungkook doesn't pop his head in.

" Why do I have the honor to eat with you?" I asked him and raised an eyebrow. There is no reason for him to speak to me unless he wants to talk about Jungkook.

" It's Deeas Birthday soon," he says and I laughed at myself because I remembered that the world doesn't revolve around me.

" When is her bday?" I asked him

" Tomorrow" 

" Oh wow you plan ahead," I said sarcastically and somehow today I was just constantly contradicting my inner thoughts.

" What's your plan"

" I don't know yet, but I am going to have a busy schedule tomorrow and won't be free until very late at night," he says in a serious voice.

" So that's where I thought you could jump in"
