[ May Prologue ]

My heart was aching to know my mother was fighting for her life. 

I decided to stay home with my family for the next few days. It was the least I could do since I was absent for so long. 

" May, you should check in on your work..." my father told me as he was worrying that I was only focusing on my mother. 

" but..." I was about to argue with him

" Life goes on... you can't let one obstacle stop you," he said and it was the truth. But the truth can be painful.

I just nodded and went to the office. 

Without bothering to change clothes or to apply makeup I entered the office, I had a lot of stares from the employees. Not sure if they shocked to see me in my condition or heard about my family.  It didn't matter to me right now. 

I got into my room and minutes later Sina followed in.

" May... are you okay?" she asked in a concerned tone.

" Why didn't you tell me?" I asked her

" I am sorry... your father told me not to" she replied and I understood her circumstances. Sina was very loyal to my dad.

there was a moment of silence between us. 

" She will come in today," she said and my eyes opened widely. 

" What time?" I asked

" in 30 minutes" 

" Okay" I replied and Sina left the room.

I prepared the documents from my side. I wasn't ready to see her. I don't know what she is going to do.

A while later there was a knock on my door and Sina popped her head into my room.

" She is here" 

" Okay, wait in the meeting room" I replied.
