Jae Ni paced up the stairs, smiling to herself at the thought of dancing once again. Opening the door of the rooftop, she breathed in deeply, inhaling the pollution free air. She closed her eyes, feeling the warmth of the sun lingering over her skin. Taking out her phone, which was the only technology she owned, she pressed play.

(I Dance – NS Yoonji English Translation) (A/N: the reason behind my storyline :D)

Jae Ni danced gracefully, spinning around happily. There was a sudden weather change, as rain began pouring down. Jae Ni looked up to the sky, the rain covering up her flow of tears. Her emotions were released, as she continued to dance. The rain splattered over the floor around her, fitting her mood at the time.

Dance was the way she would release her feelings. The way where no one could judge her, where Jae Ni felt like she was on top of the world. Ending her dance, she posed gracefully, smiling as she wiped away the tears from her cheeks. She stood straight, continuing to look up to the dark sky. *There will be a better day, I will become strong*

Jae Ni fist pumped lightly, smiling as she picked up her phone that was carefully put under a small shelter she had made on the rooftop. Slipping on her torn jacket, she opened the door leading to the stairs. Making her way down, her mood dropped, she would have to return home soon. She would have to put up with her stepdad once again.

Suddenly her phone buzzed, a call was coming from her mum.

“Jae Ni ah, where are you? It’s dinner time.”

“Oh Umma, I’m heading home now, I’ll be back in about 5 minutes.” Jae Ni shut off the phone, slipping it into the pocket of her jeans before flipping the hood over her head. Jae Ni broke into a run, jumping into a puddle and splashing some water into some people who were walking past.

They gave her a glare, as she turned towards them and bowed over and over again. As she continued to bow, a loud honk was heard from behind her. She screamed as she ran to the side. The car narrowly missed her, driving away at the speed of light.

What she didn’t know, was that she was now on the other side of the road, totally oblivious to the fact that another car was heading her way. Her breathing was fast as her heartbeat increased, so continued to look into the distance, desperate to try and find the person who had nearly run her over.
