“HAMMER, SCISSORS PAPER!” The boys all yelled, putting their hands into the centre of the circle.

“NOOOO!” Sungjong whined, as he saw that all the boys had a rock held up except for him. Sunggyu walked up to the door, opening the door and telling Sungjong to go buy food for them. Sungjong sighed as he trudged outside, hearing shouts from the practice room and he made his way to the Ddukbokki store.

The boys sat down in the corner of the practice room, talking happily and laughing. Jae Ni stood up, making her way to the piano as she sat down. She clicked on of the keys and smiled.

“Woohyun oppa, can I play this?” She asked. Woohyun’s heart fluttered at her cute behaviour, and he found himself nodding automatically. She smiled as she placed her hands down on the keys.

Melodious music began playing from the piano, the boys stopped what they were doing, turning around slowly. The sight before them made their eyes widen and their jaws drop to the floor. Jae Ni was playing the piano gracefully, her face full of concentration and feeling.

Her hands danced over the piano, making the boys slide closer, as if attracted to the piano like a magnet. Jae Ni was too engrossed in playing to notice that the boys had begun to walk closer to her. Her eyes were shut, as her fingers continued to make the brilliant music.

Instinctively, she began to sing, her beautiful voice echoing around the room.

Jae Ni lifted her hands off the piano keys, breathing out deeply before opening her eyes fully. She gasped when she noticed all the boys were staring at her. Their jaws were dropped and even a small trickle of tears was making its way down Sungjong’s face. Jae Ni stood up quickly, rushing to Sungjong’s side and asking him if anything was wrong.

Noticing that he had a tear sliding down his cheek, he wiped it off quickly with the back of his hands. He shook his head furiously.

“You…you… didn’t tell me you could play and sing so well…” Sungjong said quietly, as he looked down at his feet. Jae Ni tilted her head to the side.

“What do you mean?” She asked. All of the boys jumped up immediately.

“YOU WERE AWESOME JAE NI YOU SHOULD TRY OUT FOR AN ENTERTAINMENT!” They all chorused as if it was rehearsed. They looked around at each other and laughed at the way they talked altogether. Her face dropped as she remembered that she could not dance.

Watching idols on television, they all knew how to sing and dance very well. But without that one skill, it was almost impossible for Jae Ni to become an idol. She shook her head, dropping her gaze from the boys’ faces to her shoes.

“I can’t dance…” She whispered, but because the atmosphere was so quiet, all the boys heard her. Woohyun bit his lip in guilt, dropping his head in shame. He swallowed before tell Jae Ni that he would do anything for her to dance again.

Jae Ni’s face brightened, she looked up and stared right into Woohyun’s eyes. Her eyes sparkled as she asked if he really would do that. As he nodded, it felt like her world had been complete.
