A Few Months later

Amber’s Pov

“We said that we would show each other at the same time,” Krystal said bringing her hands up around my neck.

“Just try not to be shocked,” I warned.

“Why would you say that? What did they do to you? You don’t have a buzz cut under that hat do you?” she asked worried.

“No, it’s not the style of the hair, it’s the color.”

“You will be shocked as well then,” she sighed.

“Let’s just take off each other’s hats at the same time,” I said touching her knit hat. “In three, two, one,” I added as we pulled them off.

“Oh my!” she gasped taking in my hair.

“You’re blonde!” I said surprised. 

“But yours is neon red,” she whispered touching the ends of my hair.

“It is called red light,” I laughed.

“This is the most dramatic style they’ve ever given you.”

“I guess this makes me the visual now,” I said grinning. 

“You always are to me.”

“But what about you? I never thought you would be a blonde. But there was a time when I thought you would never let them dye your hair, but after pink tape all that went out the window. You look….surprisingly y with it,” I said tucking some hair behind her ear.

“Surprisingly?” she questioned nudging me.

“You would look y with any hair color. I just never thought I would see you with this one.”

“I’ve never kissed a red head before,” she laughed.

“Hmm…we can fix that.”

“I have however had the pleasure of kissing a blonde before. So I can say that you are in for a treat.”

“Really? Who was it?”

“You know this person pretty well.”

“But I’ll have to hurt them if they kissed you. I don’t like having to share,” I said bringing her close to me.

“That’s a problem then because this person was an amazing kisser.”

“And I still am,” I said dramatically dipping her back for a grand movie style kiss.

“Stop, we are going to fall,” she laughed while I held her.

“I’ll always catch you,” I whispered before bringing our lips together.

When I finally stood her back up she was just staring at me.

“You do too much for me,” she said honestly.

“That’s not poss-“

“Let me finish what I was saying. You are the most romantic person I’ve ever met. You always go out of your way to make me happy. And I’m so grateful, but I feel guilty sometimes. I want to do more for you. Be more for you. So I’ve decided that today is all about you. I will treat you today. I will make you smile. Because you deserve to know that you are my everything. It’s a two way street. You need to know that I couldn’t care more about you if I tried,” she admitted letting a tear fall down her face.

“Krys, I know that. Trust me I do. I don’t need big gestures to know that.”

“Well today that’s what you are getting. My fiancée deserves the best,” she said hugging me tight.

An hour later

“Was the blindfold absolutely necessary?” I asked as she led me inside an unknown building.

“Blindfolds are a must in grand gestures,” she insisted pulling me further into the building by my hand. “Ok stop here, and I’ll take it off.”

I felt her reach up and pull it off my head. My eyes adjusted to the light and I glanced around. We were in an indoor skate park.

“Wow, Krys I never would’ve thought you would bring me somewhere like this,” I said in disbelief.

“That’s not all,” she said happily stepping aside to reveal and skateboard laying on a counter.

“No way! This is for me?” I asked walking over to look at it.

“Yep, completely custom. I helped design it,” she said moving next to me.

“I don’t believe it,” I said examining the design on the back of the board.

It was an amazing drawing of the Los Angeles skyline. I took it all in, and noticed that the words to my love were written at the bottom of the board.
