Sister vs. Sister

Krystal’s Pov
“Jess unlock the door,” I said banging on her bedroom door. “Let’s talk about this. Please don’t ignore me.”
“Jessica Jung, this is your mother. If you don’t open this door so help me...” my mom threatened.
“Fine,” she groaned as I heard the door unlock.
“Jess,” I said walking in finding her staring out her window.
“I don’t really feel like talking,” she said with her back to us.
“Well tough. What you did was rude. Leaving like that, during your sister’s announcement,” my mom said.
“I’m sorry. Once again it’s always me who ruins everything. I just always bring you guys down, don’t I? Well maybe Amber can take my place. It looks like dad thinks she is the best thing to ever happen to our family. He finally has someone to play basketball with. Just like he’s always wanted,” she said watching them.
“What?” I asked coming to the window to look for myself. “They’re playing basketball together,” I said surprised.
“Yep, you had nothing to be worried about sis. Even though she is a girl and your bandmate they love her. Congrats, you can do no wrong,” Jess said in a harsh tone.
“Hey! Why are you being so mean? What did I do to deserve this?” I asked hurt.
“Everything has always been so easy for you.”
“What do you mean? What has been easy for me? Struggling with my feelings for Amber, being terrified of what people would think, and having to always lie and hide. What about that has been easy!” I yelled at her.
“It wasn’t supposed to be like this! I’m the older sister. I’m supposed to get engaged first, not you,” she yelled back.
“That’s what this is about? You’re jealous of me,” I said confused.
“You are nineteen years old! You are not supposed to have found the person you want to spend the rest of your life with yet. You are not supposed to be engaged. You are a teenager. How could you know what is best for you yet? I’m several years older. I should be the one that has it all figured out. But I don’t. I’ve never even had a relationship that lasted longer than a few months. This isn’t fair. None of it is,” she said crossing her arms and letting a tear fall.
“Jess I’m sorry you don’t have it all figured out, but that doesn’t give you the right to put me down. I’m younger than you, but I’m not a child. I know what I’m doing, and understand the seriousness of it. I came to dinner tonight hoping to share some life-changing news with you, but all you’ve done is belittle me. Sisters shouldn’t do that. You are my only sibling, and you treat me like this? I can’t understand why? If I was in your place I would be so happy for you. If you told me you were engaged, no matter what I would put my personal feelings aside to celebrate in your happiness. That is what a sister should do. Not this petty woe is me bull. This was supposed to be my day...mine,” I said seriously pointing to myself.
“Girls you shouldn’t talk to each other this way,” my mom scolded.
“Don’t worry mom, we’re done talking,” I said leaving the room.
