After Hongki-Mina and Yong-Seo gone respectively and headed both for their honeymoon destination…

 

Their families, friends and guests we’re also started leaving off their wedding venue.

 

 

Jong-Yoon…

 

Jonghyun paced back and forth outside the wedding reception (the car park to be exact where he stands beside his own car…) as he waited for Yoona to arrive. He had just spoken to her less than five minutes ago but he was already feeling restless. He told Yoona that they need to talk first before they’re headed back to their house and talk to his stubborn parents.

 

While waiting he was thinking so hard how he will find a solution on the mess that allof a sudden comes in his way…he was so desperate and so stressful now that his own parents didn’t even want to listen to him instead they just keep on insisting about her fiancée. He smirked upon remembering that was also happened to Seohyun and Yonghwa before.

 

Actually, he had been extremely surprised when Yonghwa had suggested Yoona as a prospective or pretend fiancée or wife for him.

 

It must be because he had drilled into his mind a thousand times that Yoona was off limits. She was an untouchable for him for so many reasons. For one thing, she was Seohyun’s best friend in Seoul who in turn was his own dearest sister. She was too close into his circle that it would make things too complicated if he ever pursued her and everything ended up badly.

 

He does not have any plans of being in the receiving end of Seohyun’s amazing bickering and extreme blasts. He had seen her in action before, during the time when Yonghwa and she were still considered themselves as enemies, and he was not in a hurry to experience it firsthand. Seohyun was so scary when she gets so angry she’s unstoppable.

 

Another thing was that he had always presume that Yoona as a girl who took relationships seriously. She was a dreamer, an optismistic while he on the other hand was a doubter or pessimistic when it came to matters of the heart.

 

He thinks that she was a believer of true love and he was far from that. He had seen so many failed relationships in his life that he came into a conclusion that love does not last. Apart from all this, he had to admit that the main reason why Yonghwa suggested Yoona to him was that because he knew him inside and out. He knows what good and bad for him. 

 

Jonghyun, then smiled knowing that Yonghwa always been taking care of his friends so well even if he’s already married and had his own life now…he never stop caring for his best friends.

 

But now, as he was posed with such a life-altering decision, Jonghyun couldn’t help but agree with Yonghwa and to his dearest sister Seohyun that Yoona might just be his life saver.

 

For the first time, after being not marriage believer for so long, he had allowed himself to imagine Yoona as a lover-someone to spend the rest of his life with. He imagined waking up beside her every day, taking cups of tea or coffee over stimulating conversations, taking her out to lunches and dinners, having her beside him formal dinners for the family and business affairs, having her when he’s sick, having her when he’s in bad mood or when he’s feeling down and she’s just stay beside him comforting and trying to uplift his mood and spirit and he had found out after weigh over these that he did not mind it at all.

 

He did not mind having Yoona around for the rest of his life. In fact if he wanted to be completely honest with himself, he was actually kind of looking forward to it. Now, if only she could also see it that way.

 

After all, Yoona doesn’t really look that bad at all and he thinks she’s a good person too.  She’s just not his type that’s all.

 

‘Wait? What am I thinking? Aish! Can’t believe I was thinking that far…’ Jonghyun chuckled in his thought.

 

Jonghyun sighed as he checked his watch. It was already fifteen minutes since he had spoken to her, meaning he’s doing his back and forth pacing and thinking for that long already?

 

‘Hmmnn…maybe that’s not a bad idea…after all…I don’t have enough time and we’re completely different from Yonghwa and Seohyun…besides, it will only be a temporary for just short period of time…I just hope she will also agree though…’  Jonghyun thought.

 

Until, he didn’t notice that Yoona was already fast approaching him.

 

Yoona stood nervously in front of Jonghyun. She took a deep breath and adjusted her coat as she tried to calm her nerves. Her instinct was telling her that something big was about to happen but she couldn’t put her finger on it. She chewed on her bottom lip as she tried to decide if what she will going to say first to Jonghyun but she knows she couldn’t stand in front of him the whole day. With her heart pounding rapidly in her chest, she decided to talk whatever comes in her mind first.

 

Jonghyun looked up immediately as soon as he saw Yoona standing in front of him.

 

“I’m s-sorry….I took so long to be here…it’s just that there are still some things to be done by us bridesmaids before the wedding director finally freed us to go…sorry for making you wait…” Yoona hesitantly told Jonghyun while she looked down.

 

"Oh, that’s okay…at least you came." Jonghyun said as his gaze locked on hers.

 

"I told you I was coming didn’t I?" Yoona said with a shy smile, trying so hard to hide her blushing face, because of Jonghyun’s gazed.

 

Jonghyun smiled…he found her cute when she’s shy and blushing like that.

 

“And I’m sorry for what happened earlier…you know for Omoni’s dragging you to the wedding?” Jonghyun said to her.

 

“Oh, that’s nothing…as long as I could help…I’m happy with that…besides I enjoyed it…especially, the dress and the foods in the reception…” Yoona smiled at him.

 

"Oh, is that so? That’s good then. By the way do you want some coffee or tea…while we’re talking?" Jonghyun asked.

 

"That would be nice."  Yoona agreed and smiled at him.

 

“Then let’s go the nearest coffee shop…” Jonghyun replied.

 

Yoona nodded and instantly hopped in Jonghyun’s car…and they’re headed to the nearest coffee shop around the area.

 

 

 

Minutes later…

 

 

Inside the coffee shop…

 

Jonghyun and Yoona, found a perfect place inside and immediately went in…and started to sit comfortably across each other as they ordered a cup of coffee for each one…and Jonghyun begun to ask Yoona the details on what exactly happened to her when he saw her running earlier at the park where they met accidentally.

 

Yoona, begun to tell him everything happened to her from start to end…including the reason why she needed that part time job badly…and she was surprised that she didn’t even know him well (well, aside he’s Seohyun’s older brother) and yet she was already telling him all her life’s struggles without any hesitation.

 

Jonghyun, can’t help but felt sorry for her….he told her that he will do his best to help her and make sure that all those responsible for that fake part time…will pay their crime in justice seriously.

 

Yoona, felt relieved as she heard Jonghyun telling her that…she felt safe and at peace again.

 

"Let’s change the topic…so; what did you want to talk about?" Yoona finally asked while sipping her coffee.

 

Jonghyun put down his cup of coffee on the table and looked straight at Yoona’s face.

 

"Well, I have both good news and bad news…" Jonghyun replies to her.

 

Yoona, looked at him in confusion.

 

"Oh, well…then tell me the good news first." Yoona said.

 

"Well, my parents talked to me a few days ago and they said that they’re thinking of turning over the business extension in Seoul to me…in other words I’ll handle our Seoul expansion." Jonghyun disclosed.

 

His news was rewarded with a beautiful smile from Yoona.

 

"That’s wonderful!" She exclaimed.

 

"I know that you would do a good job. But that’s good news for you…how’s that will affect or associate with me?" She added.

 

Jonghyun looked at her and smiled back. In spite of his nervousness, her smile was infectious and he couldn’t stop himself from returning her smile.

 

“Well, I didn’t tell you the good news yet….The good news is…If I’m going to get that…That’s only mean that I’m going to move and work in Seoul…and then…I can simply give you more high paying salary job…that means…you don’t have to work part time anymore…and I’m willing to help you for your financial problem too…” Jonghyun smilingly told her.

 

"Oh, Jinjia? Thank you I didn’t know you also has that soft spot in you…What’s the bad news then?" She asked with a puzzled look on her face.

 

Jonghyun took a deep breath. This was the moment he was dreading for.

 

“The bad news is…they did have one condition though." Jonghyun whispered.

 

"Condition? What is it?" Yoona asked curiously.

 

"They want me to bring my fiancée to them and then get married first...as soon as possible."  Jonghyun replied.

 

Yoona’s heart stopped. He’s going to get married? She could feel a sudden prick on her heart. She knew it. The fact was…she was having a crush on Jonghyun since the day she met and saw him in Sangdodong…but she just stop thinking about it…for she knows it was only an illusion for her…because she’s just apoor and he’s so rich…they’re like heaven and earth…besides, Seohyun already told her about Jonghyun’s ideal in women…and she’s not match even a single point.

 

‘Wae, Im Yoona why is it to you? You stop before he notice you…it’s embarrassing you have no right…’ She thought while looking down.

 

The moment she was dreading for had finally arrived. Jonghyun was going to get married.

 

"I see." She said slowly as she tried to keep her sadness she might get embarrass if Jonghyun see her like that.

 

"Deh, that’s why I need your help," Jonghyun said with a nervous smile on his face.

 

In spite of her sadness she couldn’t help but feel baffled with Jonghyun’s request.

 

"Me? How can I help you then?" Yoona asked in confusion.

 

Her eyes grew wide in surprise as Jonghyun looked at her with so much intensity that she was reminded of a tiger stalking his prey.  

 

With quick labored breaths she watched him with a y dimples smile; he opened his mouth and uttered the words that almost made Yoona faint.

 

"Will you marry me?"

 

Jongyun gently said to her while looking straight into her eyes.

 

 

 

 

Busan

 

Taec-Gui…

 

While heading back to his parent’s house…

 

Taecyeon and Gui-gui were alone, talking inside his car.

 

Taecyeon looked at Gui-gui, who looked shy back at him as his parents were headed back to their house first, chatting with each other.

 

“I’m sorry about earlier…for being dragged to the wedding….you know Omoni sometimes she’s so stubborn…” Taecyeon begun their conversation.

 

“That’s okay…boss…truth is I really enjoyed that moment…I loved the dress...as a poor I am…I don’t have chance to wear those kind of expensive dress…so, I am still thankful that I got the chance earlier…so, don’t worry I am happy that happened to me…” Gui-gui smilingly replied to him.

 

“Really? You don’t mind what happened just because of that dress? Hmmnn…You're quite interesting...so shallow…” Taecyeon told her.

 

Gui-gui didn’t reply to him…she just look down…

 

“But, then at least you already knew and noticed by now why you had stocked on that situation right? Because my parents believed that we are having something…you know…like…boyfriend or girlfriend or something…” Taecyeon said while chuckles.

 

“M-mwoh? Me?  G-girlfriend?  Wae?” Gui-gui asked in surprise and confusion.

 

“Well, because they’re rarely seen me having or inviting a girl with me on an occasion like that…they think if I did…that girl was only important for me…just like a girlfriend or a fiancée.  So, when they saw you coming…they thought that you are the one…and it’s my first time I did that actually on our family occasion…that’s why they didn’t had any doubts that you were really special and the one for me…” Taecyeon explained.

 

Gui-gui, was instantly shocked with what she just heard.

 

“B-but that would only an accident…I did just go there to ask for your help…if where will I stay tonight…”  That’s all she muttered.

 

“Deh, I know that too… but you know…my parents sometimes…were so stubborn that no matter what they will not going to listen to you…instead…they just insist what they’ll believed…and Yonghwa and Seohyun was actually, a victim before…And so we too now…our case is one of those…” Taecyeon explained again.

 

“I see…” Gui-gui said in her low tone…she can’t still believe that his parents thought that way about them.

 

“And you know what? I just thought…that my life was so boring…and I just want to make it more fun this time…so, I was actually planning to just go on and play with them…” Taecyeon said and smirking.

 

“W-what do you mean by that…boss? What’s play are you planning to do” Gui-gui asked him.

 

“Let’s get married!" Taecyeon winked and smirked at her.

 

"W-what! Why would I m-marry y-you? Why me? I mean I don’t have anything, not somebody like you, I am not rich like you and I am not that stunningly beautiful…I’m no match for you...why me? I’m not tall and-" Gui-gui struggled to ask but was cut by Taecyeon

 

"Because, we know each other well now…and because I think it’s going to be fun…playing along with my parents and because you’re so funny!“ Taecyeon smilingly told her.

 

Gui-gui, just looked at him, she can’t believe she was hearing those words from his boss.

 

‘She’s just funny …that’s all she was for him?’ She thought.

 

“So, all you need to do is just go along with the flow. Anyway, you don’t have boyfriend and you aren’t in any relationship right?  And no parents or siblings to worry or to reconsider…so, no hassles…you are perfect to be my fake fiancée or bride then….let’s say that you are just doing your job under me…just like what we have an employer-employee relationship."  Taecyeon said and paused for a while.

 

"We will only do that for fun…and in just a short time… for you and I will divorce pretty quickly.  I already have a plan on getting a real suitable and perfect girlfriend for me. And plan to marry her in the future. Don’t worry I will pay you extra generous amount with that or you can tell me what you want in return. I’ll give it to you as a payment for your service. You're fine with that, right?" Taecyeon asked her.

 

Gui-gui glared at him and looked away.

 

"Boss, I don't care about the extra income or payment as what you had just said. I owe you a lot…that’s why I will do anything for you…I will still do that even without payments or money involve…if that means I could help you…and as long as I still have my own life to control-" Gui-gui said to Taecyeon but instantly cut by him.

 

"Oh no, you've got it all wrong...you belong completely and entirely to me. Until we divorce, I control your life from now on..." Taecyeoni smiled sarcastically at her.

 

"What are you saying?" Gui-gui asked in confusion.

 

"Just do what I said. Don’t worry, I won’t do any stupid or will harm you…I just want to have some fun. Just like working with me until we divorce, is that clear?" Taecyeon replied.

 

“O-okay...no one will get mad or worry at me even if I do that anyway…so, I guess I will do that…" Gui-gui replied in her low tone.

 

"Deh, deh...so, we’ll agree and set up to it…and let's go join my parents, let’s act like one lovey dovey whenever they’re around, okay my dear beloved fiancée?" Taecyeon said sarcastically as he drove away.

 

Gui-gui just nodded on him and didn’t say anything back. She’s blushing after hearing Taecyeon’s last statement.

 

‘Oh my god...how can I have such bad luck and a sad life? I don’t have anyone with me, no parents, no siblings, no relatives, the only good thing I had is a friend like Seohyun and my boss and now, I have to…marry… him…without love.’  She thought as she closed her eyes sadly.

 

Taecyeon was a bit surprised that she didn't say anything back. He noticed her expression was a bit sad.

 

‘Hmmnn…She really is a weird one…this marriage will be interesting…and more fun…for sure!' He thought and smiles inwardly.

 

 

Back to Jong-Yoon …

 

Still at the coffee shop…

 

Yoona blinked as she stared blankly at Jonghyun’s entrancing brown eyes. What did he just say? She wondered. He couldn’t be serious, right? She could feel her heart thumping wildly. Her first instinct was to leap into his arms and shout ‘yes!’ but she didn’t want to sound too eager so she willed herself to stay calm. They stayed in that position for what seemed like eternity.

 

Yoona stayed as still as a statue until she recovered her bearings and grabbed hold of reality.

 

‘This is not a fairytale Yoona. Jonghyun is not a prince charming who will sweep you off your feet.’  Yoona thought as she reprimanded herself.

 

"Are you trying to pull a prank or a joke with me?" Yoona asked him as she tried to pull a shock expression on her face.

 

Jonghyun gave her a guilty look.

 

"Did it work?" Jonghyun asked with a sheepish grin.

 

Yoona just shook her head and chuckled. Trust Jonghyun to look like a young child who was caught doing something naughty by his mother.

 

"Don’t joke about things like that. It’s not really funny I swear." Yoona scolded him.

 

Suddenly, Jonghyun’s expression turned serious.

 

"Hey, I’m not joking, I’m serious here…I really meant what I said." Jonghyun said in a soft voice.

 

Yoona’s face turned white as a sheet as soon as she comprehended what Jonghyun was saying.

 

"You’re not…J-joking?" Yoona asked.

 

Jonghyun gave her a small smile and shook his head.

 

Yoona opened and closed several times. She was robbed of speech for a moment.

 

"W-why me?" Yoona blurted out after finally finding her voice still unbelieving that Jonghyun would make such a proposal.

 

"Why not?" Jonghyun answered her with a question of his own.

 

‘Oh my gosh! Why not? He’s asking me why not?’  Yoona thought in surprised at Jonghyun’s question. As per Seohyun story, he had so many girls at his disposal. She bet that he had a little black book filled with countless names of females.

 

Though she had dreamed about it for so long, she never really thought not in her wildest dream that she would be in this position right now receiving a marriage proposal from Jonghyun even if it was for all the wrong reasons.

 

"According to Seohyun…You can have all the women at your back and, women who are richer, prettier, taller and more sophisticated than I am. I’m sure they would die to have a chance to marry you. You don’t have to settle for me." Yoona said as she looked at Jonghyun.

 

Jonghyun frowned at her comment.

 

"I wouldn’t say that I’d just be settling. You don’t see yourself clearly Yoona." Jonghyun replied to her.

 

Yoona blushed and looked away.

 

"You know I don’t believe in marriage. Marriage was never in my long term plans. I hate responsibilities. I’ve never really gave it much thought until my parents laid this challenge on me. But now that I’m forced to consider it, I know that I couldn’t just choose any random girl to be my wife. You’re one of Seohyun’s closest friends and I’m sure Seohyun already told you about me…and you know everything there is to know about me. So, I know that I do not have to pretend whenever I’m with you."  Jonghyun explained with a small smile.

 

Yoona felt warm all over as she listened to Jonghyun’s words. She was very happy to know that Jonghyun valued her as Seohyun’s friend.

 

"Don’t worry all you need to do is pretend…you just go along with the flow.  But under one condition...Our marriage will have no love in it, whatsoever. So, you can't fall in love with me.  I already have a girlfriend.  I plan to be with her in the future...so you and I will divorce pretty quickly.  I promise will pay you an appropriate large amount and if you want you can tell me what you want in exchange, I’ll give it to you. You're fine with that, right?" Jonghyun added.

 

“You really know exactly where to attack me huh? You know that I am really financially desperate right … And for someone like me…who wouldn’t grab your offer? Will I have guts to turn down your offer?" Yoona sadly said and looked at him.
