Keep It In


The girls were amused watching the 2PM and Big Bang boys rehearse for their special performance for the 2:21PM Bangs! mini concert.

It was amusing and at the same time, painful to watch the boys trying their very best to deliver a solid performance, especially when they have two pairs of attentive eyes watching their every move.

To make matters worst, they were in duos and trio, with the persons they despised the most and they had to act all friendly with each other to show the “camaraderie” between YG and JYP.

Out of nowhere, a loud yell of pain sounded. Seungri was stomping his foot, cursing under his breath.

“Hayssst! Why did you stomp on my foot?!” He asked Taecyeon who was busy getting the dance steps right.

Taecyeon looked at him briefly then frowned. “I didn’t mean to!” He snapped. “Your foot was on my way.”

Chansung, who was in front of them, shut them up. “Sssh! Our sajangnims might hear you.” He warned the two. “JYP has bionic ears, you know.” Young Bae chuckled.

Minji, who was seating beside their leader, whispered to CL. “Look at Seungri oppa!” She pointed to Big Bang’s maknae.
“He’s limping!” She added.

CL looked at him and shook her head. “Pabo!” She hissed under her breath. She took another look at Seungri, this time, her scorn turned to worry as she watched him limp his way through the performance.

It’s your big mouth’s fault. She said, internding for those words to be heard by Seungri. 

Though the words seemed offensive, her intention was otherwise. They may seem like cat and rat to everyone but CL actually found Seungri’s petty behavior adorable sometimes. Sometimes. She was just too shy to admit to everyone.

She approached YG and gently tapped on his shoulder. “Sajangnim, I think Seungri’s hurt.” She said quickly, bowed her head and walked away.

YG looked at the limping Seungri and then at the evidently shy leader of 2NE1. YG couldn’t help but let out a chuckle.

Who would have known that a cat had a soft spot for a rat? He smiled to himself

He looked to his right and noticed the Big Bang leader distracted, missing some steps in the choreography. 

YG sighed and shook his head. What should I do with you, son?

Jiyong looked like he was in a dazed. His eyes concentrated on one person.

Dara was trying so hard not to look at him. She knew that if she dared to steal even just one look, the wall she had started to build will crumble and she would let him enter her world again.

She turned her gaze toward the guy beside Jiyong, Nichkhun. Lately, she had been spending more time with him lately. Whenever they’re together, Dara could only feel peace and comfort. It was as if she could speak about anything she wanted to without any fear of being judged or looked down upon. He would find ways to make her laugh, to make her smile, to make her blush.

Dara smiled at her thoughts. The odd thing was, she felt awkward around him when they’re with other people to think that they’re so comfortable with each other when it’s just the two of them.

She looked again at Nichkhun and saw him staring at her, giving her a shy smile when he realized she caught him. Dara hid her flushed cheeks by chuckling.

The two were so engrossed in their own world that they failed to notice Jiyong watching them, his heart breaking each time he saw Dara looking at Nichkhun. His breath slowing down every time she would smile at him.

Why can’t it be me that you’re looking at, D?

Why can’t you smile at me again the way you used to?

What should I do to have you in my life again?

He knew the answers of course. He knew he had lost the advantage.

He knew that in this battle, he was trailing Nichkhun.

He looked at Dara and saw the smile that made him go crazy each time. It was plastered on her face again.

But it’s a battle he’s not willing to lose.





We were anticipating the performances that YG and JYP picked for us. I was hoping against all hopes that it wouldn’t be “In or Out” or some old cutesy song I recorded in the past.

I sighed in relief when JYP announced that CL and Minji will be performing 2PM’s “I’ll Be Back” which will help showcase their strong vocals.

I agreed with the sanjanims’ song choice for the two. Both CL and Minji were known to be bad booty when it comes to rapping and dancing but some fail to realize that they have an amazing voice as well.

YG turned to Bom and I. Somehow, the way he looked at me made me shiver a little, as if an impending doom was about to happen.

“Bom,” He started saying. “we all know that you have incredible range and can hit crazy high notes.” He complimented Bommie. Bommie smiled shyly and bowed her head in gratitude.

YG turned to me and smiled. “Dara, your sweet angelic voice and infectious energy are what endear you to the fans.” He commented making Dara blush and smiling like an eight-year old receiving a star on her homework.

“That’s why we decided to make you go out of your comfort zone.” He looked at Dara. “No ballads for both of you.”

My face fell. I was hoping I could do a sweet melody, one that can showcase my sweet angelic voice according to YG. I looked to my right and noticed that Bommie was disappointed as well.

“We feel that the two of you should perform... ” He paused for awhile. “GD&TOP’s Don’t Go Home.”

“And Jiyong, Seung Hyun, I expect the two of you to guide and give them pointers on how to perform the song.”

“We expect you to work closely with each other.” YG said, looking at the four, meaningfully.




Dara and Bom looked at each other, both of them aware of what the other girl was feeling.

Bom had always had a little crush on Seung Hyun. Who wouldn’t? His piercing eyes and manly charms can make any girl drool.

The thing is, Bom has had this nagging feeling since before that Seung Hyun is not the type to commit. Though he can be menacingly intimidating most of the time, people in YG know that he’s a fun-loving guy who likes to joke around.

There were times when he would just sit quietly, ignoring her and fading into his own world.

But there were times also when he would treat her sweetly, as if she was the only one that mattered.

She couldn’t help but heave a sigh. She looked at her best friend and saw that she looked problematic as well.

Dara dreaded the thought of participating in anything that would relate to Kwon Jiyong.

But fate seemed to be playing with her. Out of all the possible songs she can perform, it had to be the one that her boyfriend, make that ex-boyfriend, wrote for her.

She stole a glance at Jiyong, instantly regretting why she did so.

He was sitting on the floor, his eyes lit up as he heard what YG said earlier. Looking at him, he couldn’t help but compare him to the picture she saw in his room a long time ago.

A picture of a little boy full of hopes and dreams.

A little boy that has not been tainted by the impurities of the world.

A little boy void of hurt and disappointment.

He looked like Kwon Jiyong, the day Sandara Park first met him.

She wasn’t aware that she was staring at him for a long time already.

It was only when Jiyong turned to look at her that she realized the recklessness of her action.

But she couldn’t take her eyes away. It was like she was being pulled into him.

For a brief moment, their eyes locked.

And for a brief moment, they forgot the world around them.
