Starting Anew



I went back to the dressing room, afraid that if I spent more time with Jiyong, things would have spiraled out of control between us.

I admit that I missed him. Just the thought of us being alone together made my heart flutter.

But still, I couldn’t disregard the fact that he was the primary source of my pain.

I couldn’t just let him waltz back into my life now that I’m starting to build a new one. One without him.

Especially now that I’m discovering new things about myself that I’m starting to look forward to.

I took a deep breath before I entered the dressing. Upon walking inside the dressing room, everyone looked at me with concern in their faces, even 2PM. I figured that they already have a slight idea as to why I got pulled by Jiyong like that.

Taecyeon was the first to approach me. He wrapped his arm around me and squeezed it. I had to smile at how comfortable it felt. 

He really was like a big brother to me.

“Noona.” He said, affectionately. “Is he bothering you?” Pertaining to Jiyong. I smiled and shook my head.

“Aniyo.” I answered with a chuckle. “You know Jiyong, right? He’s very playful and rash.” I forced a laugh.

I noticed Khun Khun watching me from afar, probably seeing through my little lie. 

I suddenly remembered our kiss and avoided his gaze.

It was Wooyoungie who comforted me.

“Noona,” He whispered as he gently pat my back. “If you need someone to talk to, you can always come to me, you know.” He gave me a reassuring smile. I smiled back and noticed Khun Khun looking at us.

I settled into an empty seat beside Bom and Minji. They told me that CL was talking to Mr. Matsuura and Director Riyosawa. I felt anxiety crept in and hoped that I wasn’t the topic they were discussing about.

I heard my phone rang and took it out of my pocket. 

It was a text from Khun Khun.

i hope you’ll be alright... 

I keyed in my reply.

dun worry, Khun Khun! noona will be alright. ^___^

I looked at him. His back was against the wall and was watching me silently.

I gave him a big smile, concealing the truth about my emotions at that time. 

He smiled as well and continued texting.

now, that's the smile that turned korean idols to foolish eight graders. kkkk 

I blushed upon seeing his message. I immediately look towards him and to my dismay, he was still watching me with an amused look.

aigoo! are you one of those foolish eight graders?? ^_^ kkkkkk

I looked over to him and saw him blushed a little. I felt my heart fluttered upon seeing it.

He replied after awhile.

neh...

I blinked. I looked again at the message.

neh...

I shot him a surprised look, as if I didn't want to believe what he just texted.

I received another message.

noona... why are you so nervous all of a sudden?

I looked at him again, unsure what to answer him.

I heard my phone ringing again.

hayssst, noona! you're so gullible! kkkk you're face just now is so hilarious! kkk

I looked over at him. He was laughing like a stupid bully. Obviously, he was amused.

Noona was just adorable looking all nervous at a single message I sent him. 

I can't stop laughing just remembering how she looked when she was able to read my message for the first time. 

Her silly smiles immediately faded. Her eyebrows creased as if she was concentrating hard on that one word message I sent her.

And that look she had when I revealed that I was just kidding was priceless.

I laughed again. Haysst, that girl! She truly is something. I tousled my hair.

But the truth is, I really intended to let her know that. Not because I wanted to play a prank on her but because it was the truth.

These past few days, Dara noona, had made me act like an eight grader.

Jiyong left the location and headed to Avex Group Headquarters where Teddy was staying at the moment. 

He badly needed distraction. 

Teddy was currently finishing the lyrics for Don't Go Away, the remix of 2NE1's Go Away when Jiyong found him.

He took a close look at Jiyong and noticed immediately that something's off.

"I thought you were going to watch over Dar, I mean, 2NE1?" Teddy asked his junior, obviously amused by his own wit.

Jiyong coolly shrugged his shoulder. "Too many people there already. They can manage themselves."

He answered while touching the mixer. Teddy noticed that Jiyong was distant and disturbed.

Teddy thought for awhile. "Ya, Jiyong!" He called out. 

Jiyong turned around to face Teddy who was smiling thoughtfully.

"Sajangnim suggested that I do the lyrics for this song. The thing is, I haven't come up with even a single amazing line." He scratched his head a bit. "So,I was wondering if you could help me out with the lyrics of this song."

He asked him, knowing full well what his answer will be.

Jiyong started working on the lyrics of the song. Words started pouring in as he set the pen in motion.
